I came here for a concert! It was a first, especially it being in TJ. When we came in there were vendors selling merchandise on the side. Paying for parking wasn't as bad. We came here pretty early since we didn't want to deal with parking too far from the venue. Luckily we came in the time we did because I saw that people had to park on the sidewalks too! We got a parking spot right in front of the Trompo. Surprisingly, they were also selling merchandise in the area where they check your tickets for verification. The shirts were cooler than the ones outside. So parking was a breeze! It's so active here compared to the states with their concerts. There were games to play before going in and merchandise. Once you go inside, you can't come out.
The concert was outside. There were food vendors selling! They would check our tickets and purses before we go in. It looked pretty cool! Once you sit, there are sellers walking around selling beer, pina coladas, ice cream, popcorn, micheladas, and chips. I was surprised of their full service even when we sat down!
But there were some cons about the concert! Once it got dark, it was hard to figure out what row we were in. I guess we sat in the wrong row so we had to re-check our seats. If only the rows on the side of the seats, were more visible. Another con, is that the sellers kept walking through the rows even when Natalia Lafourcade was singing! It got kind of annoying since they would block the view. Or I would have to sit up so they can cross my row. My last con is the leaving out of the parking lot part! Omg it was a little scary since the streets are so narrow. Especially leaving through the alley part. Luckily no car accidents!
Overall, it was a different experience! Don't forget to arrive early to get a good parking spot. You don't want to park on top of a sidewalk unless you are brave! Then go for it!! read more
