I had the best time despite leaving a little early to avoid the post-show gridlock. I'm giving it 3 stars mainly because of the location, long VIP bathroom lines, and the bumper-to-bumper traffic before and after the show. The food and drink prices were also on the higher side, though that seems to be the norm these days. That said, my overall experience was still amazing! You shouldn't have to bail out early, just so it's not an hour plus to leave the parking zone. I have a system from years of coming here. Come early, leave a song before the end, etc. Sign up for designated driver to get a voucher for a free soda or water. Eat in the car before you come in, lol, because the food is expensive and not great. Most seats are decent with the exception of 1) the lawn and 2) the pit area if it's seated. Neither of those are good, unless they have to close the lawn due to the show under-performing. Then those with lawn tickets get changed to one of the seated sections. For that reason, you should wait to rent a chair for the lawn when you get there, to make sure you'll actually be there because they won't give you money back. The pit isn't great when it's seated. You could pay less for the 100s, and the seat would be more comfortable. Customer service near the main entrance is where you can sign up for d/d, and they also have a sign with the times for the bands. Merch lines can get long, so go first thing when you get there. Drinks and food are both pricey, and food is just ok. This is a clear bag facility like most of the larger venues in SD.

Came for Disney on Ice at 11am on a saturday-…read more Finding tickets was a little confusing, not sure if there's a way to buy them besides a third party site which I don't normally prefer to do, but this time worked out using Stubhub, I presume bc it was not a super popular time to go to this event and it had multiple shows. Two tickets in the terrace 16 section cost about $75 with taxes and fees. I also prepaid for parking online to save $10, but I thought $30 was a little steep for the lot, come to learn there's the possibility of free street parking in the area as well. Inside the arena was fine, a bit vintage but did the job. Seats were easy enough to find but it would be cool to have some direction on where to park for your section as we ended up on the other side but it wasn't too bad of a walk and I parked near an exit for an easy way to get out. All in all I would come back here for an event but would try to figure out how to park on the street.

Now Jack Murphy only gets a statue of himself and his dog outside the stadium, with a plaque talking about all the sponsors of the statue, not actually explaining who the man himself was. Again, true class would have been to kept the name Jack Murphy for the stadium - but true class is hard to find in America these days. Snapdragon can never become a legendary stadium like Old Trafford of Man U, the Bernabeu of Real Madrid, or the Maracana of Brazil with a sold off stadium name representing nothing that'll change every 20 years.

Great weather (because, San Diego), partly cloudy skies, temperature in the mid-60's. We had lower-tier seats on third-base line, just a handful of rows up from the dugout, Chicago White Sox were in town. Sadly, the Pale Sox pasted the Pad's 4-0. Stadium Petco truly checks all of the boxes of a great ballpark. Downtown location - sure thing, the nearby Gaslamp District has numerous restaurants, bars and hotels to complement your visit. Easy access - yes, including ample garage parking and nearby train service Open air - of course Excellent viewing lines throughout the stadium - yes Seating close to the action - you bet Avid fanbase - 42,000 attend virtually every game, so, yep Outfield view - great, and I mean GREAT, view of the city skyline Stadium lighting / sound - unfortunately, our game was pretty much a snooze fest so difficult to judge. I've seen videos of the crowd and stadium sound system roaring, and also of a great home run firework celebration. Sadly, we didn't get to experience any of this. Anything iconic? - well, there's the Western Metal Supply Building which literally serves as the left-field foul pole. So, yeah! It's difficult to find anything I'd improve. Cushioned seats would be nice, we've had those in a couple parks. Maybe....bring back The Chicken? The Friar doesn't exactly excite me. So, is this THE best MLB park? Well....there's some tough competition for the #1 spot. Personal taste and sentiment inevitably come to play on this. The cast was amazing and they really made everyone in attendance feel like they were included. The seat are stadium style but quite spacious and comfortable. Security and staff at the different kiosks inside were great as well. Very friendly and helpful. Only issue we ran into was since we were closer towards the stage it took a while for us to get out of the venue. And the stairs, lots of stairs depending on where you are sitting. Other than that the location and venue are pretty awesome!
