ACCESSIBLE & INTIMATE LOCAL ARENA! My Mom and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Frontwave arena during a SD Clippers vs. Stockton Kings game towards the end of the season. We were surprised by the lovely views and atmosphere. Every seat had a great angle and the video screens were visible to everyone! Personally, I enjoyed this arena a lot as I visited while I was recovering from a knee injury. We purchased tickets closest to the top of the stairs so I wouldn't hurt myself and overexert my knee! The ticket booth attendant was helpful and provided us the correct seats to accommodate my situation. Tickets are a little pricy, but worth the value and accessibility. Upstairs there's seats for "VIP" guests, honestly those seats seem further away from the action and are only for looks. Court-side seats are also available. There's food at every corner of this venue. Grabbing a bite to eat during the intermission was a breeze as a concession area was near. We were back to our seats in five minutes after purchasing a bag of popcorn! My only issue with this arena, is that they could've added more paint and decor. I felt it was little too minimalist for me. Parking was easy (although we had to pay) and the lot felt safe when returned to our car around 9pm. The lot is well-lit with cute street lamps across the space.

Awesome new sports venue in North County San Diego. We came to see my nephew play with the SD Strike Force. The parking is $20/vehicle. We were security screened at the front entrance and the event staff was great. Upon entering, there are signs that point towards the places that you want to visit while in the arena. It's like a totem pole of signage, very helpful. We opted to eat here: Tri Tip Nachos (pre made in a closed container and waiting under a heat lamp, and soggy when I got them back to my seat after 5 mins of walking to it) and fish tacos. The food was OK, but not delicious. The excitement was the game, the scoreboard, the fans, the players, the music, and the announcers. I really enjoyed this venue as a fan. I expressed to my Husband that I'd like to get season tickets to support the SD Strike Force Team. Overall, a great experience. Great work SD Strikeforce!

This is a really nice venue with a small but solid selection of food options. I came here for a soccer game and had a great time. The arena itself is on the smaller side, but it's fairly new and very clean, which makes the experience even better. One of the best parts is that there really isn't a bad seat in the house, you can see the entire field clearly from anywhere, which is a huge plus. Parking isn't free but overall, a great spot to catch a game. I'll definitely be coming back!

I've never been more frustrated by something as basic as parking. At Frontwave Arena, it took over an hour just to get into Lot B, which is a dirt lot, only to then be told parking was $25 instead of the clearly posted $20. That alone felt like a bait-and-switch. But somehow, getting out was even worse. Another hour just to leave. One driveway in, one driveway out, and absolutely no visible coordination or traffic management. No signage, very few staff directing flow effectively, no communication ahead of time about what to expect. Just a slow-moving mess with hundreds of cars stuck and no clear plan. And honestly, if you live anywhere near this venue, I genuinely feel for you. The way access roads are handled during events completely clogs the area. It's not just inconvenient for attendees, it seems like it would be a nightmare for residents trying to get in or out of their own neighborhood. The most shocking part? This wasn't even a full event. I was there for Michael McIntyre, and the arena was only half utilized. If this is how operations run at partial capacity, I genuinely can't imagine the chaos of a sold-out show. The venue itself may be new, but the parking and traffic experience feels like it was never thought through. For something so fundamental to the guest experience, this was a complete miss. Until this is fixed, I'd strongly reconsider attending another event here--or at the very least, plan for a very long and frustrating start and end to your night.

Cool Arena used for sports, concerts, and other events. I attended a fundraiser/gala but instead of the usual fancy ballgowns the dress code was sports gear. Fun! There's a spacious parking lot directly in front of the entrance. Can't speak to how crowded it would be for a public event but there's plenty of parking. Inside there are food vendor or merch stalls that line the hallway before going down to your seats and the arena. I saw that Lisa Lisa was performing soon. Hoping to be able to attend another event here!

This place is visually stunning - sleek modern design, great sightlines from every seat, and that fresh venue smell that screams "multi-million dollar investment." The acoustics are solid, and the lighting setup makes it feel like a premium spot for events. If you're into architecture or just appreciate a well-built arena, it's a beauty. That said, my experience watching a G-League basketball game here on a Friday night was a total mixed bag, and not in a good way. First off, the $25 parking fee hit like a sucker punch - we're talking G-League hoops, not courtside at the Staples Center! And don't get me started on the $15 beers; that's highway robbery for a domestic draft in an empty stadium. It completely kills the casual, fun vibe you want for minor league sports. The place was eerily sparse, maybe 20% full at tip-off, which made the whole evening feel underwhelming and echoey. Oceanside folks, I get it - this pricing screams "tourist trap" rather than community hub, and the empty seats are screaming back that the market isn't biting. Pro tip: If they dial back the gouging and focus on affordable family nights or local promotions, this could be a gem. For now, I'd recommend it for bigger events like concerts where the splurge feels justified, but skip the G-League unless you're ballin' on a budget that includes overpriced suds. Oceanside deserves better - fingers crossed they listen to the feedback!

Last night I went and saw the "I want my 80's tour" featuring Paul Young, Wang Chung, John Waite and Rick Springfield. A friend had a ticket and invited me last minute. It was the first time I've been to an event here since the grand opening. To start, I still do not like the parking situation here at all. It's too expensive and it sells out. I watched numerous people parking with barely enough room to get out of their cars, and these weren't heavy people. We were there early and we saw the line to get in so we waited in the car for a little while. The rules of what you can bring and can't bring inside are pretty strict so read them carefully. I saw several people having to return to their cars to put items in that were not allowed. Once we got to the front and were scanned through it was pretty empty inside. The restroom was clean and well stocked on the first visit. The food and beverage prices were very expensive (I know it's pricy at all the venues) for food that's sitting under a heat lamp but I knew that going in and didn't plan to order anything. We got to our seats and watched people file in at a slow trickle. Even at the end of the night, there were lots of empty seats, not sure if it's the venue or the musicians. It was quite a mixed crowd. Most of the bands were good. I appreciated the sound for the most part. I could mostly understand what the musicians were playing, singing, and saying. There was a short break between each of the bands, which I also appreciated. My second bathroom visit wasn't as good as the first, there was no toilet paper in some of the stalls and there was toilet paper all over the floor. There was a nice cooling breeze during the concert which was great and I've never found that at any other venue. Living in north county it's nice to have a venue close by. Hopefully, the longer it's open the better the bands will become and it will become a more desired place to go.

I'm so happy there's a local venue in North County. Sits about 7000, I think. Intimate. Even the back section seats give a decent view compared to other arenas. I've watched one Clippers game and attended a handful of concerts since Frontwave's opening. Last December, we sat in section 114, Row 7. Excellent view of KSON Country Christmas. I still found myself watching the large display even being so close. We usually park in Lot A, paying extra for convenience. It's the briefest of walks to the entrance. It's helpful too that we go an hour before the event for a closer spot. There are a few dining options. Tanner's Prime Burger is my go-to. All food stands have meals ready made for you to grab. Popcorn, pretzels, nachos, etc also available for easy snacking. Cutwater Cocktail Bar greets you at the entrance. The Pala Lounge may be better for ordering cocktails because folks hit up the main entrance bar before finding their seat. There are a couple of other places for canned alcohol if you're not drinking cocktails. I wish there was a better selection of canned cocktails. Food and drinks aren't cheap but they are the same as any other concert or sporting event. Concert swag is normally by section 108. Not a far walk from whatever section you're in. I've had nothing but good experiences here and looking forward to many more events to attend.

Not a bad seat in this whole arena. It's small, think just the lower half of Sports Arena. I've attended several concerts and basketball games here now, and no matter where I sit, I still have a stellar view. Food sounded exciting with Cardiff Crack and Tanners in the house, but it is basically a premade version that's kept under heat lamps, so not nearly the same as the original. Drinks are good and strong. However, the lines to get drinks is super long even with multiple bars throughout. Athletic beers available for a nonalcoholic option.

    Jessica G.

It's disappointing to see lower reviews for specific concerts rather than the venue itself. With each show comes different sound people and different variables. If we are rating on the venue alone (as you should) it's a great venue. I've been here twice now for concerts only and it's been so much fun. There's no bad seat wherever you sit, the food options with tanners and Cardiff crack are stellar. And the drinks are good. The lounge is especially nice and a fun vibe to hangout in pre show. I hope they have more concerts at decent pricing here because it's really a great venue.

I attended the 80s concert at Frontwave Arena last night. Overall, it was an okay experience, but there are definitely some areas for improvement. Lot B parking was organized, after paying $20 attendant will direct us to our spot. The line to get in was manageable, bag checks were in place. Prices at the concession was extremely high Never again, definitely a rip off! the seating were small and uncomfortable . Lightning was disappointing, the venue really needs to invest a better lightning and sounds system. The audio quality was harsh, my eardrums were not happy!

Super disappointing. Poor organization & execution. We came for the July 3 fireworks Party in the Plaza. They marketed food - it's just hot dogs, stale popcorn, stale chips & congealed cheese they call nachos. It's mostly inedible & they keep running out of stuff. They ran out of bottled water You can't leave & go over to the food trucks & re-enter. 4 little marketing booths & 1 set of corn hole.

I attended a G League game at Frontwave Arena to watch the Clippers face off against the Memphis Hustle, cheering on my nephew. Driving in from Los Angeles, I found parking to be very inexpensive with multiple options available. the cheapest was on a dirt lot I did that one night for 15.00. The area also has plenty of good restaurants for a meal beforehand, though I didn't try the food inside the arena. The seats were affordable and offered a great view of the game. One standout aspect was the incredibly kind and accommodating staff, who made the experience even more enjoyable. I attended two games here, and both times everyone was really nice.

Since it's a bowl shape, you're right on top of the court. * The Vibe: The "open-air" concourse is such a San Diego move--it's great to step out for a breather between games without feeling like you're trapped in a basement. * Organization: For a sold-out NCAA event, getting through security was surprisingly smooth, though the "clear bag" policy is strictly enforced, so don't try to sneak anything in. The Not-So-Good: * Concession Lines: Between sessions, the lines for food and beer were brutal. If you don't time your run perfectly, you're going to miss the start of the next tip-off. * Cashless Only: The whole place is cashless now. Otherwise, pretty standard fare. Anything Unusual I caught a ball, with a single bare hand! But then bobbled it and a nearby fan with a glove swiped it. But he already had a ball so he gave it back! I gave the ball to a youth sitting next us, except another child also wanted it and started crying, then stared daggers at me for the rest of the game. Sometimes, there's no winning. Summary Well worth a respite from the mouse-eared havoc next door. Tickets are easy to come by, fun place for a family break. This is my 100th Yelp review!!!

First time watching a baseball game at Angel Stadium. Came to watch my White Sox play the home…read moreAngels on a Wednesday afternoon, and the experience was really great...well except for the final score. Expected the ticket prices on the resale market for 2 sub 0.500 (i.e. not good) teams playing during a weekday day affair to be very low, and I wasn't wrong. It was low enough that I upgraded to first level seating (Row G) on the visitor/first base side, so my wife and I could see home plate clearly and sit near other Sox fans. Getting here by mass transit from DTLB is at least a 2 hour journey (taking only trains would mean going to Union Station and taking Metrolink down to Anaheim...useful for folks who live near Dodger Stadium, interestingly enough). So we drove, getting there about 1 hour before first pitch. We took the Douglas Road entrance (northeast of the stadium), and paid $25 by credit card. We got a parking spot really close to the parking entrance: a bit of a walk to the stadium but easy for a quick getaway onto the nearby Orange (57) freeway. One has to have the MLB ticket app on their phone, as paper tickets are no longer accepted (we used tickpick as our resell provider...seems to be a bit cheaper than competitors like Stubhub and ticketmaster). First stop was security (like most sporting events, small purses and clear backpacks are allowed in). Then needed to get the tickets scanned. Next was finding Section 128, row G. This lower section was in direct sunlight for the entire game, except for maybe row Z. The next section up are the 200's and those seats are shaded by the overhang. We told ourselves if the sun got too hot, we would just move back since there were so many open seats. Had to use the bathroom between the 1st and 2nd inning and found them to be pretty clean. Some other observations: - If you come early to the game, visiting players will sign your memorabilia (need to provide your own permanent marker). This happens right in front near section 128, through a gap in the protective netting. - Players and other employees are constantly throwing used baseballs into the stands. One clear opportunity is when the last out of the top of the inning finishes, the last used ball will be thrown into the stands as the player enters the visitor's dugout. Having a baseball glove is 'hand'y , though we saw some spectators make some great bare-handed catches. - there are 5 different Pokemon gyms throughout the stadium, all with the exact same name: 'Angel Stadium' - beer and food vendors are constantly through the crowd, hawking. Looked like they only accept credit cards. - Beer sales is supposed to stop after the 7th inning stretch. - The player I most wanted to see played 1st base for the Sox, but he (Murakami) had 4 strikeouts including when the bases were loaded in the 7th. The rest of the Sox played poorly as well, losing to the now 15-23 Angels, 2-8. It wasn't a particularly well played game, with the main highlight being shown on the Web, where our second baseman dropped a pop-up because the sun was in his eyes. The best play was made by an Angels pitcher on a bunt-for-hit, bare-handing a dribbler to first on a bang-bang play. And the best discussion my wife and I had was if the clear highlights at the end of Murakami's haircut was dyed, or bleaching from the sun. It was that sort of game for Sox fans.

I've been to Acrisure Arena 15+ times for different events--concerts, hockey, shows, and basketball…read moregames--and I've noticed that parking prices seem to go up every time. This last visit really did it for me. I went to see Cardi B, which was a great show, and I had amazing seats. My mistake was taking an Uber from my house, which is normally only a 10-minute ride. It ended up taking 50 minutes just to get into the rideshare drop-off area. It honestly felt like they were prioritizing VIP and self-parking over rideshare, because those lines were moving while we were stuck in stopped traffic. Getting picked up afterward was even worse--it took over two hours because our Uber driver couldn't get in. For an arena of this size that's been open for several years, I would expect a much better system and flow for rideshare. I understand parking is a big source of revenue, but if rideshare is offered as an option, it should also be managed as a priority.

I was able to get a discounted parking ticket online at $4.00 off coming to a total of only $16.00. I was able to conveniently upload the ticket in my "wallet" on my phone. There were a lot of vendors present that were geared toward home improvement then there were the other ones who were very pushy hawking skin care. That's not what we came for. We were looking into a water system for our home & hoped to see the folks selling Murphy beds this year. They had an outdoor area with garden items and plants. There were 3 food trucks out there. We shared a delicious cappuccino. We spoke to Life Source Water Systems for a bit & with Verizon. We had switched to T-Mobile and regret it. We may switch back to Verizon. With Life Source we submitted for financing, got approved but changed our minds about the system when we found out they don't eliminate hard water. So, why go with this system and at a $8,000 price tag? It was nice to visit and for it to be in this location in Del Mar. it's a very pretty area. It was odd to see the actual buildings because we usually come here for the fair and the buildings are obscured by tents and kiosks. At any rate the fairgrounds are well maintained & always offer a nice, clean, and spacious venue.

One thing I really liked is that the exhibit lets you move at your own pace. You can take your time with each piece, and there's a lot to look at. There are also several video displays that highlight different locations, events, and specific works, which adds a lot of context to the experience. There's plenty here to keep you busy -- you could easily spend close to two hours if you really want to read everything and take in every detail. The exhibit is located at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, which makes it really convenient to visit. There's plenty of parking and it's easy to get in and out without any hassle. Definitely worth checking out if you're a Banksy fan or just enjoy street art.
