The field where kids played. Great place to watch FIFA World Cup soccer!

We attended a free family friendly FIFA watch party. The place was so clean and well organized. Every employee was friendly and nice. It was so cool to see the interactive games for kids going on. Loved it!

Not a huge fan. It's a newer version of the Sports Arena, but I still prefer that to Frontwave. First of all, I hate it when a big Arena is in an area with zero free street parking. That means any time you come you have to remember that you're paying $25+ just to park. Sucks. We came to Cake, which was the first concert when it opened. We ran into untrained staff, confusion, and rude treatment when it came to questions about ADA policies. They also refused to have lids or straws for the fountain drink cups, which caused them to pour out on the ground because the cup holders for the seats were at an angle. Luckily they have since seen the error of their ways, and gotten lids and straws. Hooray! Tanners is here as a food vendor, but the food is cafeteria style. So your really expensive burger and fries have been sitting in the warming slot probably a while. Maybe eat before you come, and just buy an overpriced drink instead. I do not ever pay for tickets to anything here, I only come if I win something. Sockers, AAA basketball, etc, plus the occasional random concert are the events here. We came to Fight Night recently because they were a win from a radio station. Not my first choice of entertainment, it was underwhelming.

Another epic night at Frontwave Arena! Was invited by a friend to attend the Sockers Championship Game! The team won convincingly and we were able to witness them win their 17th Championship. The vibe was electric. The crowd cheering and changing all throughout the game. 10-3 was the final score. To finally watch a team from San Diego win something meaningful was amazing. I will never forget the night!

After so many visits, I've honestly forgiven this place and decided to update my review because things truly have improved. Security is a little better now, although there are still inconsistencies when it comes to enforcing prohibited items depending on which security guard you get. That part definitely still needs improvement. I'd give this place 4 stars mainly because the food and venue prices have increased drastically but honestly, that seems to be the case everywhere these days. Even with the higher costs, this is still a beautiful and very pristine stadium. It's easy to navigate, parking has never really been an issue for us, and the overall venue experience has been great. The staff here at Frontwave Arena have been amazing, especially the arena staff and event crews. We actually just bought season tickets for next season to support the San Diego Sockers because that's how much we've enjoyed coming here. As an Oceanside resident and native, I feel like I have to support Frontwave right now because it's becoming part of the identity of this great coastal city on the West Coast.

Awesome new sports venue in North County San Diego. We came to see my nephew play with the SD Strike Force. The parking is $20/vehicle. We were security screened at the front entrance and the event staff was great. Upon entering, there are signs that point towards the places that you want to visit while in the arena. It's like a totem pole of signage, very helpful. We opted to eat here: Tri Tip Nachos (pre made in a closed container and waiting under a heat lamp, and soggy when I got them back to my seat after 5 mins of walking to it) and fish tacos. The food was OK, but not delicious. The excitement was the game, the scoreboard, the fans, the players, the music, and the announcers. I really enjoyed this venue as a fan. I expressed to my Husband that I'd like to get season tickets to support the SD Strike Force Team. Overall, a great experience. Great work SD Strikeforce!

ACCESSIBLE & INTIMATE LOCAL ARENA! My Mom and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Frontwave arena during a SD Clippers vs. Stockton Kings game towards the end of the season. We were surprised by the lovely views and atmosphere. Every seat had a great angle and the video screens were visible to everyone! Personally, I enjoyed this arena a lot as I visited while I was recovering from a knee injury. We purchased tickets closest to the top of the stairs so I wouldn't hurt myself and overexert my knee! The ticket booth attendant was helpful and provided us the correct seats to accommodate my situation. Tickets are a little pricy, but worth the value and accessibility. Upstairs there's seats for "VIP" guests, honestly those seats seem further away from the action and are only for looks. Court-side seats are also available. There's food at every corner of this venue. Grabbing a bite to eat during the intermission was a breeze as a concession area was near. We were back to our seats in five minutes after purchasing a bag of popcorn! My only issue with this arena, is that they could've added more paint and decor. I felt it was little too minimalist for me. Parking was easy (although we had to pay) and the lot felt safe when returned to our car around 9pm. The lot is well-lit with cute street lamps across the space.

This is a really nice venue with a small but solid selection of food options. I came here for a soccer game and had a great time. The arena itself is on the smaller side, but it's fairly new and very clean, which makes the experience even better. One of the best parts is that there really isn't a bad seat in the house, you can see the entire field clearly from anywhere, which is a huge plus. Parking isn't free but overall, a great spot to catch a game. I'll definitely be coming back!

We came to front wave Arena for a college graduation. First off parking was horrible! There is not a designated spot to drop off handicap either and if there was, it must've been blocked by buses because I literally just had to pull up to the stop sign and drop off my mother-in-law. The actual venue isn't huge. I felt comfortable there. It was a good size and you didn't have to do a bunch of walking. The prices of the food and drink were ridiculous like every other venue. I think they need to have better parking. The food that they had wasn't bad I really enjoyed the chicken fingers and the french fries. My daughter said the pretzel was pretty good and my son enjoyed his hotdog. Bathrooms are pretty close and they were clean as well.

Cool Arena used for sports, concerts, and other events. I attended a fundraiser/gala but instead of the usual fancy ballgowns the dress code was sports gear. Fun! There's a spacious parking lot directly in front of the entrance. Can't speak to how crowded it would be for a public event but there's plenty of parking. Inside there are food vendor or merch stalls that line the hallway before going down to your seats and the arena. I saw that Lisa Lisa was performing soon. Hoping to be able to attend another event here!

I've never been more frustrated by something as basic as parking. At Frontwave Arena, it took over an hour just to get into Lot B, which is a dirt lot, only to then be told parking was $25 instead of the clearly posted $20. That alone felt like a bait-and-switch. But somehow, getting out was even worse. Another hour just to leave. One driveway in, one driveway out, and absolutely no visible coordination or traffic management. No signage, very few staff directing flow effectively, no communication ahead of time about what to expect. Just a slow-moving mess with hundreds of cars stuck and no clear plan. And honestly, if you live anywhere near this venue, I genuinely feel for you. The way access roads are handled during events completely clogs the area. It's not just inconvenient for attendees, it seems like it would be a nightmare for residents trying to get in or out of their own neighborhood. The most shocking part? This wasn't even a full event. I was there for Michael McIntyre, and the arena was only half utilized. If this is how operations run at partial capacity, I genuinely can't imagine the chaos of a sold-out show. The venue itself may be new, but the parking and traffic experience feels like it was never thought through. For something so fundamental to the guest experience, this was a complete miss. Until this is fixed, I'd strongly reconsider attending another event here--or at the very least, plan for a very long and frustrating start and end to your night.

Last night I went and saw the "I want my 80's tour" featuring Paul Young, Wang Chung, John Waite and Rick Springfield. A friend had a ticket and invited me last minute. It was the first time I've been to an event here since the grand opening. To start, I still do not like the parking situation here at all. It's too expensive and it sells out. I watched numerous people parking with barely enough room to get out of their cars, and these weren't heavy people. We were there early and we saw the line to get in so we waited in the car for a little while. The rules of what you can bring and can't bring inside are pretty strict so read them carefully. I saw several people having to return to their cars to put items in that were not allowed. Once we got to the front and were scanned through it was pretty empty inside. The restroom was clean and well stocked on the first visit. The food and beverage prices were very expensive (I know it's pricy at all the venues) for food that's sitting under a heat lamp but I knew that going in and didn't plan to order anything. We got to our seats and watched people file in at a slow trickle. Even at the end of the night, there were lots of empty seats, not sure if it's the venue or the musicians. It was quite a mixed crowd. Most of the bands were good. I appreciated the sound for the most part. I could mostly understand what the musicians were playing, singing, and saying. There was a short break between each of the bands, which I also appreciated. My second bathroom visit wasn't as good as the first, there was no toilet paper in some of the stalls and there was toilet paper all over the floor. There was a nice cooling breeze during the concert which was great and I've never found that at any other venue. Living in north county it's nice to have a venue close by. Hopefully, the longer it's open the better the bands will become and it will become a more desired place to go.

Check out their season tickets packages!

Not a bad seat in this whole arena. It's small, think just the lower half of Sports Arena. I've attended several concerts and basketball games here now, and no matter where I sit, I still have a stellar view. Food sounded exciting with Cardiff Crack and Tanners in the house, but it is basically a premade version that's kept under heat lamps, so not nearly the same as the original. Drinks are good and strong. However, the lines to get drinks is super long even with multiple bars throughout. Athletic beers available for a nonalcoholic option.

The results of overcharging for parking and concessions

This place is visually stunning - sleek modern design, great sightlines from every seat, and that fresh venue smell that screams "multi-million dollar investment." The acoustics are solid, and the lighting setup makes it feel like a premium spot for events. If you're into architecture or just appreciate a well-built arena, it's a beauty. That said, my experience watching a G-League basketball game here on a Friday night was a total mixed bag, and not in a good way. First off, the $25 parking fee hit like a sucker punch - we're talking G-League hoops, not courtside at the Staples Center! And don't get me started on the $15 beers; that's highway robbery for a domestic draft in an empty stadium. It completely kills the casual, fun vibe you want for minor league sports. The place was eerily sparse, maybe 20% full at tip-off, which made the whole evening feel underwhelming and echoey. Oceanside folks, I get it - this pricing screams "tourist trap" rather than community hub, and the empty seats are screaming back that the market isn't biting. Pro tip: If they dial back the gouging and focus on affordable family nights or local promotions, this could be a gem. For now, I'd recommend it for bigger events like concerts where the splurge feels justified, but skip the G-League unless you're ballin' on a budget that includes overpriced suds. Oceanside deserves better - fingers crossed they listen to the feedback!
