We had the whole place to ourselves so didn't have to worry about the boys getting split up, or random people being around. We were able to bring in our own food and drinks, and the kids came and ate as they pleased. If I throw my son a party next year, we will likely come back here. It's a 20 min drive from Solana Beach, but well worth it.

It's a VR play store where they have individual stalls (about 8) each equipped with a screen, one VR headset, and hand remotes. You can play by yourself or join someone else's game in the other stalls. There's a 100 different games to choose from. There are also 2 virtual driving stations. Due to the complexity of using the remotes, I'd say these activities are best suited for 7-8 year olds and above. They also do birthday packages which I'm sure are popular among the kids. The owner Jordan is awesome. He is super friendly and helpful. I don't know how he does it but he is able to manage all 8 individual stalls and troubleshoot for each person right away. You pay every 30 min. They offer happy hour which is half off Monday-Thursday from 5pm to close. So we paid $10 for 30 mins for each stall which was a good deal. They also have a punch card so the more you play, the more free play time you can earn. My kids are already asking to go back lol :p we shall return soon for more fun!

The spacing and detection software was less accurate and the shooting game was almost unrealistic in terms of our ability to keep up with storyline and not die.

It's very easy to mess but if you drive slowly, it is literally right next to the building. You turn in and there should be a wellness center on your left. Continue to go forward and turn left and the parking garage is there. It has multiple levels going down. It's typically about $1 for an hour and no they do not validate. There is free parking nearby in another garage but for a dollar to be able to walk up and be right there is much better in my opinion. When you arrive, you call the phone number on the front door and they come unlock the door to let you in the inside. Has multiple VR experiences aside from VR room itself. There are multiple spaces so more than one group could have an experience at the same time. Once you sign the waivers, they take you back to your space that is reserved and put the headsets on for you. After putting on the headset to your timer starts and you start your gaming experience. Pretty easy to understand instructions from the game guide. Just try your best not to walk into any walls and respect the boundaries. It's a lot of fun. Sometimes the airflow is not great so you definitely feel sweaty on your face but other times they'll turn on the fans and it feels good the whole time you're there. Definitely great for less active activity but still very engaging. They don't really explain the game to you and kind of leave you to figure it out on your own, but the games are not super complicated to understand. The game guides are pretty nice and quick to help out with technical issues. You cannot hear other games that are happening at the same time as you. They are there and the space is open, but VR headset quickly muffles out any other sound so it's very easy to focus on your own game. Great place if you don't have anything to do for an hour in the afternoon. And it's so close to the 3rd St Promenade that you can walk over and experience that when you're done. Had a relaxing time on the green practicing and watching my boys practice. Friendly folks all around. Wish they had more options for drinks at the vending machine.
