Flooded Shower

The property is nice, especially if you get a villa on the golf course. Full size kitchens, living room, restrooms with jet tubs, his&hers sinks and great size rooms with views to the golf course. Nothing but peace and quiet. Now, the TV's didn't work, couches had tons of stains, shower was backed up, lines are very long when checking in and no one answers the front desk phones. I reported the backed up shower the morning after my first night and front desk stated they would send someone out but they never came. Called to check out of my room and the phone rang for over 5 mins, someone picked up the call and slammed the headset to end the call; called again and this time it rang for almost ten minutes and finally a max answered. Told Max I wanted to check out and explained to him of all the issues we had in our room, he pretty much didn't care. Max's responses were short and dismissive. Definitely will not come back again. Like I said at the beginning, property is nice and their newer villas and remodeled ones are better but I have stayed in other resorts that are better. The only great customer service I experienced at this location was at the time share session, everyone was very friendly. The Welk resort has a pizza hut, grill restaurant, dentist office, a spa, small market and a convenience store. A theatre for live performances, a very equipped gym, tons of pools and a rec center for kids.

It was great to use my ownership to have a pool day! The adult pool was quiet and nice, I definitely like the Mountain pool better because they have the activities and snackbar, it was being worked on while we were there so we couldnt go in, but still a great restful day at the Melody Pool. Staff was nice and they offered can margaritas if you want a cocktail. Plenty of umbrellas and loungers too.

First time trying out an executive course and this one pretty good. Nice course and everything looked well maintained. The food shack was also pretty chill , the had great hotdogs and drinks . Will definitely will be coming back here again.

Nathan, Kyle, Steve, Wilson and others have been AWESOME to me, my dogs and beer tenders. While sipping a beer I saw the funniest woodpeckers.

Pro tip- this is a random alone jacuzzi next to the golf course. Hidden gem go find it

First time on this property and definitely can't express how impressed I am with the location & layout. Me and my girlfriend came here for her bday and couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and beautiful place to enjoy ourselves. The room is incredibly spacious and our view from our balcony during sunset overlooking the mountain side was amazing. We were very lucky to be greeted and checked in by Luciano at the front desk! Can't say enough of his good energy and amazing recommendations. He really went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome and excited about our stay. Was a great start that kicked off a very memorable trip. Highly recommend.

This was my first time visiting The Welk Resort. It was a very nice experience over all. The room that we stayed it was a split wing with a full kitchen and dining area in the middle. There was also plenty of seating area plus outdoor seating. It is a little tricky to navigate around. I can easily see how some people may get turned around or lost trying to find their room. The pool areas were nice and not super crowded. The down sides were the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Starbucks that is on the premises does not accept Starbucks cards and lastly this resort is about 40+ miles from San Diego or Oceanside. So you definitely have to plan ahead when making your trips.

You knew this was coming...don't act surprised! Lol

I'm still very far from Tiger Woods status, but I am proud to say my golf skills have improved tremendously! Maybe it was this particular golf course, maybe it was the weather, whatever it was, I was absolutely thrilled with my game here!! My first time playing here at Welk Resorts Golf Course, and it couldn't have been better! To get here, exit Gopher Canyon Road in Escondido and follow it to Champagne Blvd. Then turn onto Lawrence Welk Drive. Pass the Resort Check-In on the right, and keep going until you see The Pro Shop on the right side. There is a limited parking lot, but you can park on the street, too. Golf carts were clean and ready for us when we arrived. The grounds are very well kept up and the property itself is gorgeous! This is an 18-hole course and we enJOYed every minute. They do have a drink cart and snack cart that drive around, so if you didn't bring snacks, you're good to go. You may need to flag them down, but they'll get to you eventually. There was also a call box at hole #9 I believe. You could call your order in that way. My crew always comes prepared so we were golden. The staff here is very friendly. The girl on the drink cart was really nice when I asked her about their available cocktails. I didn't end up getting one but I might next time around. Fun place to play and the weather was perfect as usual! I shocked myself when I got a few bogeys in!! There is always room for improvement, but I was happy with what I did here. Also getting better at picking the right club to use...PUTTER when on the green!! LoL Crew was proud of me for that one, haha! We started at about 2pm and ended around 6pm so it did start to get a bit cold, and dark. Bring a jacket if you get cold easily! This is a great course all around, and I highly recommend it for everyone, pros and beginners alike. The red, white and blue markers at the start of the holes was a cute touch! Definitely will be coming back here again! Maybe I'll see you there! ;)

Such a beautiful view that even teenage boys will stop and appreciate it!…read more I found a great deal on Groupon that included four glasses of wine and a charcuterie board, enough for four people. It was the perfect way to sample their wines while enjoying the scenery. We also ordered two pizzas: the Sunshine Cheese Delight and the Sunshine Meat Lover. Both were good and hit the spot. We added a large bag of Stellar Pretzel to share, and for dessert (because I absolutely have a sweet tooth), we tried the Sunshine Double Chocolate Cake and Tiramisu. I prefer sweeter wines and ordered the Rosa and Riesling , both were great and exactly what I was hoping for. A couple things to note: I had read in other reviews that there were servers, but when we visited, we ordered inside, were given a buzzer, and picked up our food ourselves. It was also pretty cold outside, and it took some time for the staff to turn on the warmers. We came on a Sunday and learned that live music starts at 3 PM. My husband and I definitely plan to come back for a date when there's live music playing. We were able to park near the top by the tasting room, which was convenient. There's also seating below near a beautiful waterfall and koi pond , it's a bit of a walk down (and back up). Overall, such a scenic spot with good food, sweet wine options, and a relaxing atmosphere. We'll be back!

We drove out for breakfast & dinner which took about 20-30 minutes getting through the winding hills. Yes, we had an option to cook because of the kitchen and bbq available but that wasn't happening. Checking in can be confusing so pay attention to the signs. Staff are lacking communication and need training what visitors need when after checking in. We weren't given a parking pass and had to return to the office to retrieve one. The room or condo because that's what it is was very clean. Although it was on the bottom floor which seemed like a basement and was right next to an electrical box. The electrical box was constantly beeping and we called up front to have it checked and turned off. It had a living room, dining room, and full kitchen. There was even a washer and dryer for use. It was fairly quiet & family oriented. The best part was being directly across the pool, splash pad, activity center, and playground. Easy access to and from our unit. You need to use your room key to enters You can expect the usual simple foods at the pool area such as chicken strips, fries, burgers, etc. This place needs to have more restaurant options, a cafe, breakfast spot, and retail stores at their main entrance if they want to keep attracting visitors. I wouldn't return until then.

I stayed at the Hyatt Vacation Club at the Welk for three nights. I'll preface this review by…read moresaying that I don't own a timeshare. So I can't comment on that experience. What I can share is how the experience was for me as essentially a hotel experience. Located in Escondido, this Hyatt Vacation Club is located right in the middle of wine country. Right off of Champagne Dr. I kid you not. Not a bad place to be at all. My stay was a bit of a mixed bag. On a good note, the units are quite large. It's essentially like having an apartment. There's a full kitchen, full dining room, and full living room. Pretty awesome. Staying somewhere spacious and having the convenience of a full-size fridge and being able to cook (if you'd like to) is always nice. One weird thing though is that the bathroom doesn't have any doors. It's right there in the open right by the hallway and the bedroom. So, if you're on the toilet, and you're not comfortable like that with the person you're sharing the space with, it's a kid awkward. No privacy at all. The rooms aren't luxury or anything, but they're pretty nice. The property itself is nice. The mountains are in the background, the grounds are well kept, and there are multiple pools. I didn't get to check out all of the amenities but I did enjoy the large circular fire pit surrounded by rocking chairs. Awesome spot to relax in the evening. They also have various events going on daily. Some are free and some you have to pay for. I didn't partake in any of them, but we're talking things like movie nights, pickleball, margarita making classes, etc. My only other gripe? Checkout is 10 a.m. Which should be illegal in my opinion. I requested a late checkout and they gave me 11 a.m. 11 a.m. or 12 p.m. is standard. So it wasn't a real late checkout. Just a late checkout at their property. And I almost forgot. Their WiFi basically doesn't work at all. I was told that they're working on getting a cell tower put up to solve the problem, but alas, it's 2026. No WiFi at a hotel is not good. Despite some hiccups, it was a decent stay.

Upon checking in, I think the manager was there helping us, and she was super welcoming. We had a king sized bed suite that had a lot of open space and a pretty large bathtub, which was nice to sink into after sitting in the hot tubs. In my opinion, the room could have had a little more decor or upgrade in furniture. The room was a little bare and felt far from being "romantic" as Groupon had described it. What stood out to me the most was that the chair at the desk had a few stains on the seat cushion. Other than that, the room was well kept. Because the hotel was a little further from the city, it had a great view of the sky at night! Not used to seeing the sky so clear without all the light and smog pollution.

What I loved I chose this hotel for its unique style it is a hidden jewel 20 minutes outside of town in the foothills. Beautiful view beautiful landscape beautiful Mediterranean style hotel. Wilderness dont be surprised if you see a few creatures after all you are in the mountains. The rooms are beautifully decorated spacious clean vaulted ceilings. Fridge TV microwave patios and balconies. Did I mention the landscape again I must reiterate the grounds are absolutely beautiful for walking for hiking for little adventures for a romantic get away says it's quiet you hear the birds chipping and the running water around you. My favorite part I must say is that the pool and the cascading Jacuzzi's are open 24/7 which is a wonderful feature. Sometimes I have a late check in and I I'm looking forward to getting in that pool no matter what time it is to wind down so that is very very important to me. It's right next to golf course in there is a restaurant and bar in the golf course or clubhouse so that is convenient. Last but not least the owners were very sweet they were there as I was checking out making sure that we had a great stay staff was polite available and met all our needs Can't wait to come back for Thanksgiving and possibly for my anniversary in February with my husband it will be 25 years. Thank you for an enjoyable state and can't wait to come back again soon. Sincerely Darlene esquivias

We easily found parking in their complimentary lot. Ambiance (4.5/5): This is one of the things that make wineries great... the scenic views. While they have a tasting room inside, your best option is to sit outside on the small yet charming patio. The best part is that you'll enjoy the mountains in the background as you sip on your vino. Service (4.5/5): We ordered a bottle of wine about 10 minutes before close. One of the owners was nice enough to allow us to stay outside on the patio way past closing time. He said we could stay as long as we wanted. That's the type of service you rarely see at drinking holes these days. Food (N/A): They had various snacks to purchase and you can also add chocolates with wine flights but we were on a liquid diet. Drinks (4/5): If you're interested in doing a wine tasting, they have both a red and white option. The prices are affordable (especially by California standards) for both flights and if you'd like to purchase bottles of wine for enjoying there or to take home. I did the red flight. They serve it to you on a cutting board of sorts with a piece of paper giving you a short description of each wine. From there, we had a bottle of sauvignon blanc. I didn't take any wine home, but you can get a discount if you buy in bulk. One last thing that made Belle Marie an awesome winery is that it was one of the few open on a Tuesday in the area. A lot of them are open on the weekends only or Wednesday-Sunday or Thursday-Sunday. Belle Marie delivered on the only day we could stop by. For that, I'm grateful!
