Seriously such a great activity for both kids and adults. It's located on the 1st floor of the North County mall next to See's Candy and Old Navy and right below the Cheesecake Factory. It's a VR play store where they have individual stalls (about 8) each equipped with a screen, one VR headset, and hand remotes. You can play by yourself or join someone else's game in the other stalls. There's a 100 different games to choose from. There are also 2 virtual driving stations. Due to the complexity of using the remotes, I'd say these activities are best suited for 7-8 year olds and above. They also do birthday packages which I'm sure are popular among the kids. The owner Jordan is awesome. He is super friendly and helpful. I don't know how he does it but he is able to manage all 8 individual stalls and troubleshoot for each person right away. You pay every 30 min. They offer happy hour which is half off Monday-Thursday from 5pm to close. So we paid $10 for 30 mins for each stall which was a good deal. They also have a punch card so the more you play, the more free play time you can earn. My kids are already asking to go back lol :p we shall return soon for more fun! read more

We've been to 2 birthday parties here. The kids had fun. Located at the entrance near Target and immediately on the left when you first walk in. The meeting area is in front but there's only 1 small couch, a coffee table, and maybe 2 folding chairs. There was a party ahead of ours so they were finishing up cake/food on the couch/table while we stood around after our start time and also ate a bit. The host was able to put their food in the ledge but could be improved by separating the areas or having more tables/seating (that aren't counter height off to the side). I imagine they were cleaning off the equipment/controllers after the previous party, as they had cake, and before our party. There are plenty of different games to enjoy and switch off even for numerous kids. The staff were friendly and helpful. Another option for kids' birthday parties these days :) read more

I took my kids to Let's Play VR and we had such a great experience thanks to the incredible staff, especially Jourdie and Andrew. One of my sons were unfairly banned from a VR game (Amongus), and they handled the situation with so much kindness and professionalism. Instead of just brushing it off, they paused his game and moved him to another server so he could keep playing. Their empathy and quick action truly made our visit special. Beyond the staff, the VR setup is fantastic with 8 stations, and we'll definitely be coming back--even if a certain server is banned for now! VR is something you MUST try - the experience is incredible and so much fun - it's a bucket list item for sure! Before ever doing VR, I didn't appreciate how immersive it would be - everywhere you look is a simulated world - up, down, left, right, forwards, backwards - totally surrounding you. And there's so many different games and fantasy experiences you can try. My favorite game of the several I tried was a boxing simulation - Thrill of the Fight - and it was a great workout! A problem I encountered with Let's Play VR at this Escondido location is that sometimes the vision through the headset was blurry, despite trying multiple adjustments to reposition the headset for a clearer view. Let's Play VR really ought to try as hard as possible to get headsets / goggles where the vision is always clear. Despite my criticism of the sometimes blurry vision through the goggles, the VR experience is so amazing that my rating is still five stars. read more

Amazing shop with great prices and super accommodating staff. Came without reservation and the owner managed to squeeze my 4 kids into two booths for an hour each. he paused our time whenever they switched players and when my littlest had to use the potty. Great selection with well maintained equipment. We have a PlayStation vr at home and will still continue to come here because of the selection and the overwhelming kindness of the staff. I've been wanting to play VR games with my kid, so I did an online search & found this place. I called asking if they have a game that doesn't include guns and that's appropriate for a ten-year-old. Also, I threw in a mention that I like fantasy characters like dragons, elves, trolls, and other L.O.T.R. -type characters. As luck would have it, they have a game called Elven Assassin where you use a bow & arrow to shoot orcs & dragons in a Medieval setting... a style that is EXACTLY in my wheelhouse, and suitable for me to play with my kid. We paid for 1/2 hour of play. The folks there then walked us each to our own little booth (the technology needs each person in their own designated space), and then showed us how to use the hand sets to "shoot" the arrows in VR, and they got the headsets fitted on us. It was so much fun that (after taking a short bathroom break) we paid for another 1/2 hour! We had so much fun!!! We've ended up going back a couple of times since then, and we've found that we don't enjoy it unless we play for at least 1 hour... but 1.5 hours is borderline too much for my kiddo (I think that I could probably last for 2 hours). Point being, it's tons of fun, the employees are super helpful when we have questions (or the occasional technical glitch), and I highly recommend! read more

This was our second time here-both times we had very good staff support, they were quick to help when any problem or need arose. I highly recommend upgrading to use the index controllers as it made my time much more enjoyable (being able to open the doors as opposed to being stuck and unable to open doors. They offer punch cards, so don't forget to get yours punched. I hope they buy more index controllers so everyone can have use of one, and not just the lucky 4 or 5. read more

I brought my two of my nephews, two daughters, and myself to this establishment. When I had called to make an appointment, they were accommodating on a time change. However, shortly after my second phone call to change the reservation, I received one asking if I could push back my arrival time. Sure why not? Once we arrived and were given instruction, it took us awhile to get used to the devices, that's all part of the fun. But I may have failed to hear the gentlemen tell us that if we step out of our area; it'll go offline. At that point, the attendant will need to go back and put it back online. Well, this happen a few times and then one of our controllers died. The controller dying, is out of our control. But instead of compensating my nephew for the time that the controller was dead, he had to just stand there until we were all done. It's small details like those that impact your view of a place specially when you are paying for time of usage. Had we been compensated more playtime or rather given a coupon to go back... literally anything, we would have left happy. read more

This place was great! Three of us went to check out the VR here, and we all had a blast. The employees here are SUPER helpful with navigating through games, setting up group chat, and helping people join each other's games. When we ran into technical difficulties, like one of the controllers dying, the staff was on top of it and generous with adding time to our reservation while it was being resolved. I highly recommend reserving at least an hour - it goes by fast. The one thing I wish was different was some of their group pricing. There are deals for groups of increments of 2, but if there's an odd number of people, that odd person doesn't qualify for the group discount. We're looking forward to going back! read more

Highly recommend if you've been shopping all day with the family and need a break to relax while the kids play. Visited this past weekend and my son had a great time. Their internet connection was down but since he played alone, it didn't affect his enjoyment. Their pay system was also impacted but they more than made up for the inconvenience of having to pay cash. The facility had several play stations, and it was clean and inviting. I was able to sit right next to where my son was playing, and there was a nice waiting area as well. Jourdan and Savana helped us out, and they were very friendly and knowledgeable.
