More than a year later, I received a call from their office saying I suddenly owed an additional $2,000. My account had shown a $0 balance the entire time, so this came as a complete surprise. When I contacted my insurance company, I was told that Bethlehem Eye Associates had not submitted the required documentation to support the medical necessity of the procedure. According to my insurer, they were given a second opportunity to submit the necessary test results, but the required documentation still was not provided. I even informed the office what documentation the insurance company said was needed. This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Instead of standing behind the approval they told me they had obtained, I was left with a significant unexpected bill more than a year after my surgery. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Bethlehem Eye Associates.

I always laugh when their recorded message says my message will be recorded for quality control. they can not spell Quality. Trying to talk to a person is impossible.
