Was so frustrated after going to get a Maui Jim frame (with their prescription lenses in it) adjusted ($700 paid) They told me since they don't sell them any longer they can't work on them. I walked out of the store behind another customer. I mumbled "never again" which evidently, the other customer heard. She stopped and said to me, "me either"! Ever since the management change, this store has completely failed. After going to Pearl Vision for years, it was very upsetting for me to have to deal with an immature, and obnoxious, new manager, who did nothing but agree with me, and acting very unprofessional manner, then upon coming home, got a voicemail, by him, that was rude and unprofessional, and told me, that I was no longer allowed back, so after dealing with this, I am glad to leave, after the harassment I had gotten by Bryon, the manager, and hope others will follow my path. read more

I will definitely use a different location. 20 days, glasses arrive in wrong frames. additional family member w/ urgent need for new script also not handled properly. visit 3/9, voicemail lenses in on 3/17, arrive there 3/27 told they weren't cut. why on earth there from 17th and not ready for pick up w/ pt who is in need of them. I've been going to Pearle Vision for years and have learned the hard way that they are not all alike. Very expensive, which most are, however, don't stand behind your purchase if something isn't right. I think the staff is wonderful, however, I've also noticed some of my favorite people are gone. The overall feeling from the owner is not one of strong customer service, even if you have been a patron for years. It's difficult to believe this is a successful office. Claudette has helped me with my contacts tremendously and is an extremely kind human. I've had 4 different optometrists with them and they've all been the most friendly, genuine, and thoughtful humans. Very poor customer service. Owner is horrible to work with. Realized I was given the wrong prescription after seeing an eye doctor for another issue, brought the glasses back to be fixed and was refused. I waited two weeks for a return call only to hear that Pearl Vision will not make good on the glasses. Now I own glasses that I can not wear. Please, do your self a favor and see a real eye physician for your eye exam. I wasted my time and money only to wind up with glasses I can not wear. Dr. Hampton is the best! He is so patient, knowledgeable, kind, and honest. I totally trust him and he makes eye exams so pleasant. He and his staff let you try contacts for a week to insure they work for you. He spent lots of time with me going over my options. I've always had a good time picking out glasses, too. I will never revisit this place ever again. I went for a contact lenses exam and I got through the whole thing. The lady took my money and then told me that I only have 3 sessions to get the contacts in and then if I don't... 3 sessions is not enough time for someone who is new to contacts and has problems touching their eye to learn how to put contacts in. If anything the pressure of 3 sessions makes it that much harder to get the contacts in. So now I'm out over $100. The only good thing about this place is that the optometrist is very friendly and very nice. read more

I highly recommend, very satisfied. From the time you walk in you are greated by friendly staff. The receptionist Wonda is very professional and greats you as soon as you arrive. Megan is very professional with measuring and fitting your glasses and so friendly and takes the time to make sure you are satisfied. Dr. Fehey is a super doctor. I highly recommend. The first thing see is a sign that says "be nice or leave". I guess people get irritated here. I know why. Never saw that in a business before. This place just gets worse. Dr seems nice but the women that work there leave a lot to be desired. Look there are dozen eye places around if the people that work there are terrible go somewhere else. Great place! My dad and I went in for new prescriptions and frames. The entire staff was very friendly, there was almost no wait, and the selection of frames and style choices was really good. The optometrist was fun and knowledgeable and the exam itself was much less annoying than any other place I've ever been. Their prices are awesome too! read more

I've had contacts and glasses for 13 years. I've never came across any eye doctor I had issues with. Just switch to Pearls Vision to get a new pair of glasses and my $450 glasses are NOT even close to my prescription? Don't waste your time or money!!! read more

I live in CA and lost my glasses in PA. I called 5 places and no one was able able to help me get a pair of glasses in a day so that I could fly back to CA for chemotherapy the next day Until I walked in to this Pearle Vision. Amanda and Steve decided they could go above and beyond and make this work for me. They had a can do attitude and were helpful and pleasant. I am quite impressed with my visit to Pearle Vision. I have needed glasses since I was in elementary school and started wearing contacts once I got to college. in all of the yearly exams i have needed, I have never once had a doctor fit me and then require that I come back after wearing the lenses for a week (no additional charge) to be sure that the lenses were okay before I had the option to purchase them. I appreciate this because I had once before gotten lenses and those were the most uncomfortable contacts I had ever worn and i was not able to return the 6mos supply I had purchased. The staff here was very friendly and inviting and it appeared that they all could help any customer/patient at any point during their visit. The doctor came out and he was so casual That i didn't realize he was the doctor. He was personable and that's what I look for when choosing any of my doctors. Although this store opened fairly recently, I wish I had used Pearle Vision much sooner. Check out this place if you are in need of lenses or eye exams. I had a great experience. read more

The exam was ok. However, they have a limited eyewear selection. What many, this place included, doesn't tell you is that they always keep discounted lenses. When asked to show us these, they said we could buy them but they wouldn't run them through insurance; we would have to pay for them, lenses and frames. That was the store's policy. Why would we pay for something insurance covers. Then we asked if they could run the numbers to tell us how much insurance covers or how much we might be looking at if webought lenses and frames. We were then told no...we had to pick something out for them to do so. We could look up the insurance info online if we wanted to know what they covered. Great customer service. Most optical places have a huge mark-up but will negotiate and work with you so they keep you as a customer and your insurance covers most of it, this location was not interested in making things work for either of us. I'll be going to an independent place and not another franchise business that only cares about the bottom line. You make your own mind up as to whether or not you want to go, but I'll steer clear. read more

This is the worst and most unprofessional place I have ever been to in my life. I will never step foot in this place again and I will make sure I make everyone aware of my horrible experience. So, after waiting 3 weeks for an appointment I finally go in today just to be told "sorry we are not participating with that insurance" I asked why wasn't I told this when I made the appointment and provided my insurance info then or when I filled out the insurance papers online OR when they called me yesterday to once again confirm my insurance info? The lady that works there "Robin" (was her name so she said) says oh it happens we have no way of knowing. I'm like "unbelievable" and she goes "yeah unbelievable just get out". My jaw dropped I could not believe that this lady that works there could speak to anyone like this and as I'm walking out the door she continues to yell and scream things at me at this point I don't even hear what she is saying bc I was in complete disbelief and still am. I will make sure I blast this place everywhere I possibly can. SHAME ON YOU PEARL VISION for allowing your employees to treat customers in this manner. read more

Glad I'm not the other one who thought the customer service was bad. We were in the market for safety glasses and thought we'd stop in to see how much they'd be. A rude lady "greeted" (for lack of better words) as we walked in. I asked to see their selection of safety glasses. She literally huffed a sigh of annoyance and walked us over to a drawer of a few pairs of glasses then walked away. The selection was lacking which is what we are finding at most places. My husband had a few questions and walked up to the front desk. It was obvious he had questions and the lady just stood their not even looking busy just stood there. So he asked if he could ask her a few questions and she simply looked at him . He was at a loss for words asking if the exam would be included in the cost of the glasses, we've found most places offer that. It was obvious what he was trying to ask and instead of just helping him finish his thought she played dumb like she didn't know what he was asking. He didn't even bother asking any other questions. SO rude! We will definitely not be returning there when we are ready to buy! read more

Eye doctor on site was great. Staff are very nice and professional. Lenses are junk. Had issues with the lenses constantly being foggy and smudged. Within minutes after being cleaned they looked smudged and dirty even right out of the case. I sent them back to the store and was told that the lenses would be changed. When I got them back, immediately had the same problem. No explanation was given as to why it happens but from what I have read it is the anti glare or anti scratch process that causes it. Not worth it. My previous glasses and lenses never had these issues. read more

I used their online program to schedule my appointment, DON'T! This program doesn't work properly and when you get there, the nasty woman behind the counter will be condescending and not help at all. The staff at this Pearle Vision is so knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Ivanco immediately put my daughter at ease with his friendly and engaging manner. He explained every test to her and made sure she was comfortable throughout the exam. Our eye care consultant, Melanie, helped us pick out the perfect pair of glasses for my daughter. Melanie gave her honest opinion with every frame my daughter tried on and gave great advice as to how to pick the perfect frame and color to best suit my daughters features. Upon arrival, the staff seemed friendly. I stated I wanted to order contacts. But with help from the staff, come to understand that they were not able to fill my request due to my script being another "store specific" brand. OK, no problem. Then I ask if they will accept a faxed script, of a common brand to fill my request. I was told yes and I informed them that I had a gift card. So I called the former doctor and he faxed the script. The physician at Pearle said no problem, they have it and can complete my order. They sat me down with another employee to place the order. This is where they weren't so nice. Well, before they even saw my gift card, they told me gift cards cannot be used for contacts or anything BUT the purchase of GLASSES. This is a gift card I won off of a local radio station, I have the promotional letter, gift card and reciept and NO WHERE does it state what it can or can't be used for. And was told it was the managers decision. They would NOT honor the gift card they gave the radio station to promote them. So not only, am I unsatisfied, but I lost 2 hours of my time between driving (as I don't live close) and spending time there. So they don't lose their $50 on the cards, BUT they didn't make a sale or earn a customer either. I wonder how many customers they did gain with these gift cards. BTW- the frames start around $260 to start. read more
