Had an appointment for 11:20 via VisionLink, their telehealth system. Came in 20 minutes before the appointment and was told I'd be called soon. Only until almost 11:50 was I informed that they were having technical difficulties and would need to reschedule. Soonest date they could do was five days ahead, which didn't work, so had to reschedule for next week. There was also a massive queue of people. It seemed reliance on remote appointments using technology made them unable to handle the volume of clients. Should've been told there were difficulties at time of appointment at the latest. EDIT: An appointment opened up next day, and I took it. Despite the difficulties from the day before, the staff, specifically the Optometrist Dr Saveri and the Optical Specialist Lead Tiana made this experience worthwhile. Dr Saveri was efficient in determining my new prescription and recommended a welcome change to my contacts, and Tiana provided excellent insight and advice with picking new frames. Visionworks should definitely focus more on the in person experience perhaps with hiring one more Optometrist or two to handle more volume since that is where this location shines. read more

I walked in last Monday with my daughter that was picking up here contacts and I had the pleasure of speaking with the Supervisor Vanessa that was so professional and sympathetic regarding my story about having a concussion and needing to have an eye exam, and she was able to get me in that Wednesday. I had the pleasure to have my exam by Dr. Bharti Sethi Optometrist, she was very patient with me and answered all my questions when my exam was finished. Then I checked out with Vanessa who was so sweet just like the day she made my appointment. One of the greatest impacting factors of vision loss is Quality of Life. Not only does a vision loss affect our ability to enjoy the beauty around us, but it can also cause physical and emotional distress and even impact us economically. Showed up for my daughters exam 10 minutes early, one person before us. They took us back to start exam and then said wait one is before you. So we waited as 3 more patients went before us who showed up after our scheduled time. No doctor on site and it's virtual exam which they don't tell you when you schedule it. After 20 minutes past our exam time the tell us "we are 20 minutes behind." I learned a lot about employees personal lives waiting. One lives in Weisport and other in Jim Thorpe and it's going to be cold, I think and auctioneer is quiterOne bought their friend a present and one didn't buy their boyfriend anything because they just spent $5000 on them. Unless you buy the extra warranty there isn't even 30 days warranty on glasses. got a $360 pair and 2 weeks in the solder joint separated resulting in the glass not being held in on one side. They said too bad buy another pair you didnt buy the warranty. i went for my appointment that was scheduled several days in advance. when i got their they told me the dr went home and i had a virtual visit. Nowhere did it say visit is virtual exam .no where on my email does it say it and never said it when i made the appointment worst customer service. I was told my reimbursement would take a week then the automated receptionist told me a month. I get the run around when I phone .. it has been a month and 7 days since I cancelled my order I want my money back NOW! The people seem nice. The Dr was good. Just a lot of opportunity with the customer service portion. My prescription changed and I ordered contacts and new glasses. I also wanted to update my current pair to my new prescription. I asked and it was "okayed" to drop off my old glasses when I pick up my new ones. When I did this they tried to double charge me even though I had my receipt with me showing I paid. After 2 more weeks I went in to check on the glasses and after 20 minutes of being in the back "checking" was told it would be another week. I'm guessing they forgot to put the order in? ‍ Oh do not... I repeat do not order contacts with them. I ordered Dec 1st and didn't get them till Jan 24th. Again, no communication for almost 2 months so I stopped in and they are somehow there sitting in the back. So I checked the tracking on the box and they arrived 12/9/23. So I had to go almost 2 months without contacts when they are sitting there this entire time. I will probably go back for check up because the dr was very good. Will probably take contacts and frames business elsewhere. read more

Made an appointment almost 3 weeks ago for them to call today to tell me my sons appointment was made with a tele-health dr so "that won't work". Horrible customer service, I had an exam 4 weeks ago, they never told me when I booked my appointment that they are out of network, so after the exam they wanted to charge me for contacts fitting. After arguing with them, they didn't charge me for fitting, they told me they don't have my contacts but they will order them and I should get a call in 2 weeks to pick them up. It's been 4 weeks and no one called me. So I decided to call them today, I was on hold for 15 minutes and no one came back on the phone, that was 10:55 am. So I called the second time, and I was told after 5 more minutes of wait that the trial is not in yet and they are on backorder. Worst glasses ever!! Nearly $1,000.00 for progressive glasses that force me to lift my head 45 degrees to read or even see my computer screen and drop my chin to my chest to see at a distance. Went back 3 times to have the glasses adjusted or to have the lenses replaced. The clerk stated that if I wanted the lenses replaced, first I would have to give them the glasses back and walk around blind for 2 weeks or more, and second, the replacement lenses would likely come out identical to the ones I was sending back. The gentleman who works there has always been great help in finding the perfect frames for me and the Doctor also is great. The staff has always been welcoming and friendly. My 91 yr old mom got her glasses here at Visionworks 2 yrs ago. She is now in a nursing home and can't walk or get up. I cannot transport her. She lost her glasses and I went to Visionworks to see if they can replace her glasses with her old script. They refused. Not a good way to do business. I give them a zero out if 10 rating. I scheduled an appointment on line, confirmed the appointment via text and email. I filled out the form prior to my appointment. I show up to scheduled appointment and I'm told that because I didn't call the office to confirm my appointment, the canceled the appointment. They also claimed to have called and left voicemails, which I never received and showed my call history and VM history. Apparently the corporate office doesn't connect to the local branch due to a glitch or some bologna. I had text messages stating I had my appointment. Nope doesn't matter they canceled my appointment because I didn't call them. No where in the emails or texts that I received said I needed to call the store. Don't bother using them, clearly they are unorganized and need better communication from their corporate office vs local office, or provide all the information needed in the email. read more

I had a scheduled eye appointment on 1/22/22 at this location. The customer service agent who waited on me was totally unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful to me. She had a lousy disposition and was very abrupt with me. Visionworks has lost a customer in me for life. I do not tolerate disrespect nor is disrespect worthy of a second chance. Visionworks does not give personal service or go the extra mile for their customers. I have been going to this store for the past few years with my family every year for both eye exams and new frames. The staff is always pleasant, exams are on time (which is a big +) and they help explain any questions. They look up the insurance information and give you the estimated price based on the true costs with insurance. I would recommend to family and friends. read more

They were booked out about 5 weeks when I made my eye appointment. My daughter got her glasses from there as well. Unfortunately 2 days after she had them they got walked on by my 2 year old son. I went in and Rebekah helped my daughter with the first pair so she recognized us as soon as we walked in. I explained the situation to her and she was super eager to help get another pair of glasses do my daughter. She went above and beyond he call of duty to help me. Fast forward a few weeks and I went in for my appointment. She again assisted getting me checked in and ready for my exam. I believe Britney was the tech who did a portion of the exam until a dr came on remotely to get my prescription. The process was pretty streamlined and straightforward. The dr on the other hand was super slow. The total time spent for the exam was a little over an hour. Once done with the exam, Rebekah gave me my prescription since I didn't find any frames I liked there. Every time I've went there Rebekah was GREAT, not only with myself but everyone who she helped. Rebekah consistently went above and beyond he call of duty. I hope Visionworks corporate knows how valuable she is to the location she works at. This location has a lot of rude and non helpful associates, I rather go to the one in Walmart if my insurance just cover my eye exam there.

Almost 1 yr into Covid-19. Terrible experience. Poor customer service from sales people, technicians and terrible sanitation. I asked what my insurance covered and was given and broad overview and the price tag and description was NOT easily labeled and I explained I needed further explanation and was talked down to. I even asked for them to write it down since I couldn't even have at MY benefits page to walk around with. HIPPA laws were at best used since they asked me medical questions in front of other customers and only hand me come speak to them closely when asked my last 4 of social #. Only 6 glasses at a time and they didn't sanitize trays when I asked for another until I started sanitizing things they touched. Tele health dr couldn't log into system so I got to see a real dr. Same person Antwan was rude again going over pricing and kept dragging out the sale when I said I have to go and can come back for prescription since I didn't want to buy Glasses, contacts and safety work glasses that day. I tried to explain I didn't have a good experience and he said neither did he. I've only wrote maybe 1 other review ever that's how bad this service was. read more

The customer service and person who completes the preliminary eye tests(possibly an assistant) was awful & rude to myself and my two young children! I scheduled an appointment for my son over a month in advance. When I got there the woman at the counter asked if my son knew his alphabet to which I said I think he knows almost all of his letters. She then rudely told me that if he didn't know them all then they would cancel his eye exam. I told her my vision insurance ended within a few days, why wasn't I told this ahead of time when I booked the appt. a month before, and could we please at least try to do the exam. She then said she wouldn't cancel it but that we would have to wait after all the other appts. scheduled after ours. I put my foot down and told her that was completely unacceptable to make a 5 yr. old wait for a long time. She then argued with me for a while until I asked to speak to her superior and then she finally took my son back with me for his preliminary eye tests. She was very impatient with him and the tests had nothing to do with knowing his letters. We then saw the eye doctor who was a very nice woman and she completed the eye exam on my son no problem. I mentioned to her about the nasty assistant and the eye doctor said she had no idea why the assistant said my son needed to know every single letter of the alphabet for the exam, because for young children they can do the eye test with shapes or images. It was all made up B.S. the customer service/assistant said because she didn't want to work with a young child. It was a frustrating experience and I will Never go there again! read more

Not the store I would visit again. Staff for eyewear is rude and what little staff they do have do 3 things at once so bring a book or lunch when you go. Asked for Manager and she does not care and sees nothing wrong. Had spouse stop to order glasses and they had 10 excuses why they could not help get her started in ordering glasses. Left and went to another eyewear store and bought 3 pair of glasses and felt good about dealing with them and had no issues placing the order. Last trip to this place for me. When management sees no issues and lose business it shows how much they care about me. Lots of places to buy glasses around. Go where you get treated as a valued customer. Eye exam was okay at best. Ordered glasses - first they tried to talk me into ordering contacts with my insurance benefit and then there "special" of glasses for 50% off. Was much cheaper to order glasses with the insurance benefit and pay full price for contacts. Glasses came in in 10 days as promised, except they broke them while putting together, so I had to wait another 10 days. When I got the glasses, I was unhappy with the fit and the prescription, so I took them back 2 days later. When I entered the store to return the glasses, a woman rudely said she would be with me in a minute, never asked why I was there. Over an hour later, I was still waiting and the other associate working took a customer who had just walked in 5 minutes before. At that point, I got a bit loud about the fact that I had been waiting an hour and he just walked in and got help. So the lady walked over, asked my name, and started going all over the store "looking for my glasses that I was there to pick up". Never did she ask me why I was there, what the problem was, anything, until I finally said "are you going to come over and help me or not?". The entire process was rude and unprofessional. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible! The worst service and experience imaginable. Still have my husbands glasses after dropping off ten days ago. Was told they would be repaired in a day or two. Called them after six days and no one could help lab person was out. Called back ne xt day and spoke with the manager and she was with a customer and calling back as soon as she was finished. Never heard from her so I called back in two days. Guess what she was out and no one knew anything about his glasses. Now am waiting to hear from her. Worst place to buy glasses. Went in with a 4:00 pm appointment and finally left at 6:30pm. 2.5 hours to purchase glasses and get an eye exam. That was to long to begin with. I had my glasses picked out even before I was taken back for my eye exam. After the exam I waited till someone could help me purchase the glasses. There were only 2 customers in the store and 3 people working. I asked to have transition lenses and progressive lenses. The gentleman range me up. $260.00 and 2.5 hours later I left the store. Went back a week later to pick up my glasses and they were not made correctly. Like I stated earlier I asked for progressive (no line bifocal lenses) and transition lenses. l got polycarbonate lenses that were not asked for and also got an anti glare that was not asked for. I walked back into the store after the lenses never got dark. The girl was rude and said I never ordered that and that there would be an extra charge . REALLY!!! You are the ones that made them wrong. Why should I be inconvenienced to pay more for something that I was supposed to have from the beginning? Like I said, they charged me for stuff I did not want and never gave me what I actually wanted. They are scammers. Even their corporate office wouldn't help me out after their mistake.
