Total scam. Sent a trailer to move 3 bedroom apartment. Only half of trailer was loaded. Damage and mishandling of property. Stay away.

Let me start this off with some very simple advice: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If you care about your belongings and well-being, you will run far away from these absolute scammers and liars. Unless, of course, you would like to use a company that steals your belongings; then by all means, please use Fox Moving and Storage, as stealing and lying are their specialties. My family used this storage company to store what was our family piano, more specifically, the piano I played regularly in my childhood and teenage piano career. Long story short, this piano had value to my family. My father listened to me play, my sisters and I practiced songs, and my dogs would sit under the piano as we played. Overall, a meaningful piece for my family. When we moved from our home, we had to store the piano for a while because of other moves. We had the trust that our piano was safely in storage, waiting to be reunited with my family. Fox Moving and Storage made sure this would not be a possibility. After our piano was stored with them, my mother was in contact with DIANA BURDICK regarding the maintenance and storage of our piano. For MONTHS, she collected payments for our piano while it was in storage. When it was time for us to have our piano returned, Diana informed my mom that it was no longer there?!? We paid to have this piano stored for TWO YEARS, only to find it is not there anymore. But the cherry on top of our piano being STOLEN by this company and us being fraudulently charged for a storage unit for a piano that wasn't even there is that Diana claimed my father had the piano released to my mother's home. My father, who passed away several years ago, allegedly had our piano released to a home that my mother has been living in, where we know the piano is not, and has never been there. If I weren't so disappointed, I would feel deep-rooted second-hand embarrassment at the absolute disrespect and lies spewed by this company, and more specifically, by Diana Burdick. If I could rate them 0 stars, I would. If I could rate them with negative stars, I would. This company took payments for a piano that they weren't even actually storing, and believe me, they knew. They stole our piano and did god knows what with it (probably sold it), and worst of all... they lied to my mother and tried to cover their own ass instead of taking responsibility. Booking was easy and everyone involved was polite/friendly. Expect however to pay at minimum for four hours (not including the deposit), regardless of the small size of your home, amount of furniture (or lack thereof in my case) and short distance to new home. The start of the move was VERY slow- where in past cases movers have emptied my apt in just under one hour with same stuff, it took this team well over two. Hired and paid $169.00 deposit for Fox moving and storage to move items from my storage unit into a new condo. Day of move, 3 men crew had a truck with bed, mattress furniture occupying truck. I asked for them to empty truck prior to adding my items/furniture to a truck that already had someone else's furniture. The owner Eric did not want to accommodate request but required me to pay deposit for a truck and crew that had others things and never discussed I would have to share moving truck with no discount rate. Then Fox movers refused move after I refused to sign a paper contract sent from Eric by the driver. The movers loaded four to five items on the truck then claimed of seeing what they believed to be rat pop on a rug which in fact was cat feces from stray cats. I do not own pets nor do I store pets in a storage unit. Animals must have been strays from storage unit property and my move got refused and cancelled via company for pet waste yet it was ok to originally move my things with a strangers bed and mattress that could have bed bugs. I was told by manager Eric I would receive my deposit back due to them cancelling the move. I have yet to receive my refund and when I call their office I continue to get excuse from Eric out in the field and away from his PC. I'm due a refund for them not completing the service they were hired for. This should have been issued the very next day 10/28/2024. If I could give Fox moving and storage zero starts I would give them zero stars. The absolute worse moving experience. I have moved around the country and internationally and this is the worse moving experience. Totally unprofessional management, calling for payment before job is complete, not wrapping and protecting furniture. Several broken items and items just tossed in boxes. The crews were even complaining about their management and threatening to quit on the job. Do yourself a favor and avoid this cast of characters, they are not worth your time. Fox Moving and Storage My whole experience working with this moving company was horrible! I have moved multiple times in my life and this is hands-down. The worst move I have ever made and by coincidence it's a local move. First, I was supposed to move on a Sunday but it was raining, so I got a call from the moving company asking if it's OK if we switch the date to Monday because of the rain. I also didn't want to move in the rain so I said it was OK. Monday comes I get a call at 2 PM stating that my move at 5 PM is scheduled. Then at 5:01 PM I get a call from the moving company stating that they are on the way, but they only have two men and if that was OK. I told them it was not OK because I have a lot of stuff, I requested three men, and I need three men. They called back saying that they will schedule my move to Tuesday. Tuesday comes I don't get a call from them so I called at 5:30 asking if they are coming. I'm told that they lost a man (I guess he just left because he didn't want to work that late) and that they won't be able to come. By now this is the third time they had to reschedule me and I am very, very upset. I had to reschedule worktime, I had no clothes packed because I plan to move and unpack the next day. And also, I was very inconvenient because I already had my apartment scheduled to move out. But I had no other choice, but to schedule with them for Wednesday. The only thing that was good about this move were the movers. When I got home at 5 PM on Wednesday, they were there and ready to move. They were professional, efficient, and listen to how I want everything moved and packed. If it wasn't for the movers then I would've given this company a one star rating. This move was the most stressful move of my life and this was a local move. I'm used to moving across the country and across state lines, and this has been the worst move ever. This company is unreliable, they don't seem to care because every time I called Heath (the one who who originally scheduled my appointment initially) he said he would send emails, but he never even tried to follow up with me. and Eric, I suppose the dispatcher?, Although he tried to make amends by offering me only a 10% discount for my inconvenience, he, too, was not very reliable and didn't even try to follow up with me after my move to see how things went. It is all about expectations... As we prepared to renovate the second floor of our house, we needed help with packing our belongings and furniture and bringing them from the second floor to our garage for storage during the renovation. When we hired Fox Moving and Storage Co., we were told we were getting people experienced in packing and moving our clothes, household items, and memorabilia carefully and safely. Unfortunately, it seemed like we just hired muscle with not much packing or storing experience, if any. Yes, at the beginning they were courteous and polite, but packing and storing ... was something else. There was no thought or care involved in packing various items. We are extremely glad that we packed and moved at least some of picture frames and fragile souvenirs ourselves, before Fox Movers came in, because they used tall wardrobe boxes to throw in - not pack, but literally throw - archive photos, frames, and other memorabilia together with shoe boxes. Only a small portion of our hanging clothes were properly hung in wardrobe boxes, but then they seemingly got tired (or ran out of time) and just threw most of my wife's summer dresses, my dress shirts, pants, and suits into those wardrobe boxes instead of hanging them. Even worse, they piled books, tapes and memorabilia on top. The result - most of that clothing is unwearable. My wife's T-shirts and summer dresses, and pants ended up thrown in another box and piled on top with old paper files and boxes. They threw toiletries (toothpastes, brushes, combs, soaps, shampoos, ...) in the same box with gallon bottles of Clorox and Liquid Plumber not even bothering to place those gallon bottles upright. Of course, one of the Liquid Plumber bottles leaked and the toiletries had to be thrown away. While moving furniture, Fox Movers damaged walls in the stairwell, as well as knocked the base off one of the wardrobe cabinets. The way they stacked boxes in the garage for storage, they piled the heavy boxes on top of light ones. Likewise, they placed wooden nightstands on top of boxes containing clothes, which began collapsing shortly after the "movers" left. Luckily, I noticed this and rearranged the stacks myself just in time, before those nightstands crashed to the concrete floor. Seeing this, I was very happy that we did not let Fox Movers transport our belongings to their own storage facility, out of my sight, as I am sure that would have been a complete disaster. In summary, if you need some big muscle to carry heavy items from one place to another under your very close supervision and care, Fox Movers might be an option. In fact, when my wife tried to supervise where things were to be moved back to, one of the movers told her to "...let me do my job - I've been doing this for over 20 years!" So, if you want to be able to use your clothes and other belongings after unpacking, you should either pack them yourself or hire actual professionals. read more

Do not use this company for your move! They broke my $1500 dining room table and offered me $150 to replace it! The table was upside down in the truck and the entire stone top cracked all the way down the middle. I've been going back and forth for weeks with them constantly getting a "we will get right back to you" response. Finally they came back and offered me $150. This is insulting! I expect my items to arrive the exact way they left my home. They also "lost" an 8x10 rug which was worth over $300 (they offered me $18 and they "lost" all of my curtain rods, worth around $100 and offered me $3!!!!! read more

I used Fox two years ago and they did a fabulous job.... but not this time. Their movers (3) complained non-stop about the hill in front of my home. They made it very clear they expected a good time for dealing with it. I ordered them subs from Publix for lunch and they told me they wanted fried chicken. They threw almost all of my boxes in my garage to get done with the move quickly despite the fact they were labled with particular rooms. They also forgot to put a bed together and when I asked them to do so, they put it together and it colapsed the first time someone slept in it. I'm so disappointed. read more

No, no, and no!!! I hope after reading this review you can make a good decision and don't waste your money. I found this company thru home advisor (think a referral service). Home advisor is another review at another time. After several emails from fox moving, I decided to give them a try. Initially, you speak to a coordinator, tells you about the services, cost and gets you scheduled. Simple enough!!! I spoke with the coordinator, she said it's a minimum 2 hours, $195 an hour, $195 deposit in addition to the two hours. I was so confused, Bc that's not a deposit to me. Anyway!!! My time block was wonderful. I go to the storage unit awaiting the guys, it's 1:30 nobody. I then make two more phone calls before someone responds at almost 2. Let me just say the movers showed up, and didn't smell professional. They seemed as if they were smoking for 3 days straight. I had a 10 x 20 unit. It took them 3 hours to load. And they still left items in the unit. They threw items in other containers, spilled and didn't secure everything. Now they are supposed to secure everything, tape you name it. They should up at my home at approximately 8:30. Turns out the deposit was correct. They didn't finish until 10:30. Dropped furniture in front of me, and other pieces were damaged. So I booked 2 hours and ended up w 5 hours. Beds, couches, dresser and boxes and bags, 5 hours. Also, they say they will assemble things too, don't count on it. I went back to the storage unit to find things still there. So you add in all of that, they are not a convenient company. Buyer beware!!! read more

We just moved from Portland, Oregon. We rented 3 PODS storage containers. We had to hire Fox Moving twice as our 3rd container arrived 4 days later then our first two containers. The entire experience with Fox was great! From the staff who provides customer service when you call. I spoke to Ty a couple of times she is super nice. To the team of movers on both Saturday and earlier today, everyone was a pleasure to be around! Both team of movers were careful, unwrapped what we needed, just perfect really. Never again! Reshard is awesome though; he needs to work for another company or just start his own. My move time was scheduled for 9am, but the movers arrived around 11:30. Reshard did call to let me know he'd be late (truck issues) and kept in contact, which was pretty professional. I called Marisa, the rep who I scheduled with, to see if discounts were given when arrival times were delayed. She said she'd check and get back to me in 20-30 min. By 11, I still had not heard from her, and the movers were still not there. I called back and got some guy, let's call him Rude Boy, who insisted that, "Nobody told me 9:00." That's right...I had a 9am appt that I made up. He then proceeded to talk over me every chance he got and tell me the movers were only an hour late because move times are scheduled within the hour due to Atlanta traffic. After a couple of minutes of his foolishness, I was transferred back to Marisa. Ummmm...Marisa must have been trained by someone different because she was not on the same page with Rude Boy. She said my time was 9am and acknowledged that the movers were late AT 9am. Anyway, she told me again that she'd call me back about a discount because the guy she needed to get permission from was dispatching or some other nonsense that apparently had him cut off from the world. I'm still waiting. We spoke at around 11am, and it's now 12:55am. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Never again! read more

These guys are far from anything near a logistics company. I had originally called the schedule a move for a Saturday at 1:00. I notified their office that I only needed heavy furniture move, and I would only need movers for approximately 2 hours. I was given a bunch of different time frames I could choose from. I chose from 1:00 to 3:00 . Well 1:00 came around and apparently the 1:00 to 3:00 was a arrival window... So 3:00 comes around and no movers. When I called the main office nobody knew where they were. They told me they would get ahold of the movers and have them call me... A while goes by and still no phone call from them... About 3:30ish I can get a phone call saying they were only 15-20 minutes away... 4:15 comes around and they're still not here so I called to cancel the move and request an immediate refund. Apparently the only person who can do it is not in at the moment and they'll be in on Monday. The next day I call the main number for the whole company which is based out of Tennessee. This was our second time using Fox Movers as we used them 18 months ago to move my business to a storage location. That first experience was outstanding, but this second experience was disappointing and even more so after visiting our storage unit today. The job was two-fold. Move approx. half of our belongings from our house in Buford to a new apartment in Buckhead and take the other 50% of the belongings to a climate controlled storage unit. These items would be picked up in a year after we purchased our new home. On the plus side, the crew was extremely friendly and respectful even all the way through to the finish of the job at 1am. That's pretty much all I can say positive. Beyond that, it looks like our stuff was manhandled with little care or regard for protecting it. First off, we were promised a crew of six, 3 men per truck for two trucks. But about 1 hour into the move, one crewman said the owner of the company was coming to pull him onto another job. The loss of that crew man extended our job by two hours at least. There's no excuse for removing a crewman for a job that was going to be this large and involved two stops. We have now moved four times with professional movers and have never experienced so many crushed boxes. It's clear they were piling heavy boxes on top of lighter boxes throughout the day. I estimate over 30 - 40% of the boxes are crushed in some way. These were predominately brand new Home Depot moving boxes. I thought putting the Fragile Stickers on the boxes would help to make the crew more careful but the most damaged box was a one-of-a-kind Christmas dish from my mother. Luckily the cookie dish was not damaged as it was packed well. We experienced more damage on this move than any other, including drawers broken off both of our solid wood desks. The foreman insisted he didn't break the drawer on my wife's desk that came to our new apartment, but the drawer was broken when it arrived. Upon inspecting our storage unit today, we found another broken drawer so both desks are now damaged. There are other damaged items that just look like they were carelessly handled either on the truck or on the way here. Items that were supposed to come to the apartment were left in storage even though everything was clearly labeled and marked. Upon visiting the storage unit today we found a disaster. It literally looks like everything was haphazardly thrown in with no regard to the items and space. When we worked with the first crew 18 months ago, the crew foreman packed the storage unit like a truck. Boxes stacked first, then the furniture stacked, using all available space and taking care to ensure nothing was being damaged or would be damaged by storage. Today we found broken containers, items that had fallen out of containers, items falling on top of each other. Nothing stacked like it would be on a truck. I have a custom Christmas Display that i've been adding on to since 1993. It's all flat plywood. It should simply be stacked along the wall. Instead pieces are laying across multiple boxes with other boxes piled on top. I am literally going to hire another crew to come to the storage unit next week to empty it out so we can inspect everything for damage and then have them re-pack the unit correctly so nothing will get further damaged. This morning I realized the crew foreman overcharged me. He only removed 30 minutes for lunch. Lunch was 60 minutes and I know because I drove the foreman to get the lunch and it took us 30 minutes just to go out and get it. Then the foreman was supposed to remove another 30 minutes because there was something wrong with the Penske truck when they were headed to Buckhead, so 90 minutes total should have be removed from my time. We also discovered the six foot desktop to a specialized workstation is missing. A $1500 desk now missing the top. We hope it's in storage but first we'll have to clear it out to find it. Overall a very disappointing experience and night and day treatment from what we got from the first crew. This crew was very nice but really didn't seem to care how they were handling our materials. I've recommend Fox Movers to everyone I know for the past 18 months but no more. Definitely consider another company for your next move. read more

the actual movers were wonderful men. The bid with the list of items was never sent to me , only a price. Helarhnleft of major items and disnt take two large appliances. we needed two trucks and would have gladly paid for two . we moved a three story house and they had not listed a handful of boxes . I asked for a table to be lived and they left off dining room and kitchen chairs. we are having to pay for another mover to get the stuff they refused to lift. they almost left my grand piano because they were understaffed and my husband had to act as the forth man . we hired them to move two pieces specifically the grand piano and a large armoire. We disclosed that the armoire had been attempted to be moved by a junk removal and some handy men but we were instructed that only professional movers could do It , like we used before. They left it upstairs and said they didn't have the equipment to move it. do jot hire. I have been accommodative and the owner will not communicate with me . I tipped the movers very well and the owner has no time to work this out with me. I am giving him 24 hours and then I am disputing the bill on the credit card. read more

This was the worst moving experience. The company didn't bid the move correctly and left two items Behind. They also needed my labor to love the piano. It appears they are severely understaffed. We needed four men and two trucks and th we showed up with three men and one. I had to take off three days of work and finish the move. Movers beware! I can set aside the dinged and broken portions and pieces of furniture due to the unfortunate day of sexual advances these men had on my under age daughters. Their constant comments throughout the day pertaining to "where my man was" and "why are my daughters single" as well as asking my 14 year old how old she was was over the top inappropriate. When I addressed the situation with Fox Moving the HR director was extremely kind and apologetic but when the owner called that was a bit of a different tune. He did apologize and offer half of my money returned but that didn't even cover my cost for the new movers I had to get to help correct what Fox's movers did wrong. As my smith machine is in the garage half put together (the movers claimed we were responsible to have brought the rest of the pieces to put it together). After I told the owner I felt their offer to put my smith machine together was definitely a step in the right direction and suggested they make up the cost of the rest of what had to be done to correct the move the owner became agitated, told me to call the police to deal with my insecurity of the movers and the issue and hung up the phone. A police report is being filed based solely on the sexual advances towards my daughters and Fox gets away without paying back a dime... read more

I used fox moving once before and LOVED the service. But Saturday I used them again to move a baby grand piano, an upright, a china cabinet, grill, fridge, two small couches, and bar. I let them know that there were many stairs in the house, and stairs to get in, but the destination was a flat one floor load in. The person I scheduled the move with said that 3 guys would be perfectly fine and I even got a discount for being a repeat customer. With that, we left it and I eagerly awaited my move. Saturday arrives and my movers call an hour and a half before they arrive to let me know they were on route. I really appreciated this. They pull into our driveway, get out of the truck, and the leader of the move is smoking a cigarette. He looks at my mom and I and says "oh wait, I should probably kill this". They walk up and introduce themselves and I bring them into the house. Immediately upon seeing the furniture the leader complains "I had plans to go look at houses, I thought this was going to be an easy job. I guess I won't be doing that". He looks at the upright piano and because it is dusty begins telling us that it was going to fall apart if he tried to move it. We assured him that we took care of the piano and after ACTUALLY LOOKING AT IT tells us how well made it is. He looks at the baby grand piano and tells us that it is MUCH bigger than a baby grand piano and they might not be able to lift it because it is too big. He then looks at the grill and complains that he is going to have to use a dolly. (It is bolted to a furniture dolly already) and we had moved it through the grass so it was able to roll. After assessing the furniture, he began discussing the insurance that I would have to sign up for and repeatedly tells me that he's "trying to save me money" talking so fast I can barely understand him. He ends up convincing me to completely wave my rights to insurance because his estimators didn't give him a weight and in order to process that insurance, he would have to drive 45 minutes away to the weigh station. After "saving me money" he flat out tells me "now for gratuity, we accept cashapp, venmo, zelle, and just plain cash. It is expected to be $100/man". So, I prepare the cash, assuming they would do a good job. In the process of moving, they noticed a punching bag and asked if anyone did MMA in the house. When I mentioned I used to do martial arts, I was asked if I was single? And when I told them I wasn't, the compliments about my appearance, interests, and personality began. They weren't vulgar, but they were persistent throughout the rest of the move. All of the furniture in the basement and the fridge are moved without issue, but when it comes to the china cabinet and baby grand, that is where we run into problems. Once they wrapped the glass shelves for the china cabinet, they had me transport it in my car. Now the baby grand. While assessing how they would move it, they kept complaining that it was a six man job. If you google "how many people to move a baby grand" every result says 3-4 if they have the correct equipment. Constant complaining, claiming it wasn't a true baby grand, and MULTIPLE times where I walked over to check and they were just sitting on the floor. While they are working on this, I was sitting in the next room discussing a friend's decision to come out as nonbinary. Well. This snapped something for the leader of the crew because he came in and started discussing the topic with us. First it seemed like a true conversation where he wanted to understand a basic definition of nonbinary. Well, it quickly evolved into him going on a full rant about genetics, people doing it for attention, comparing trans people to those who claim to be trans-racial and those who "identify as a lizard". I was completely aghast and had no idea how to respond. This rant went on for at least 10 minutes while his crew was just sitting waiting for him. Once he is finished, they move back to the piano, still complaining that they won't be able to lift it and they are telling us that they may have to call someone else in. They finally get it up but they did not get it high enough and in the process of tilting it on the board, I hear one of the legs crack. After removing the legs and beginning to take it down the stairs, they tell me "you better play this once it gets to your house". They then take out outside and down the stairs, taking one of my mom's bushes out. Once everything is in the truck, we move to the next destination where they drop the upright piano off. This went so smoothly I took it as a good omen that the rest of the move would go smoothly. Boy was I wrong. When they arrived at the house, the leader exited the truck smoking again. Several attempts were made to compromise both before and after going to court without success. Fox totally bailed us out. All My Sons movers simply did not show up on the agreed date of moving and when called they said we had been rescheduled to two weeks later (only 10 days after our close and requirement to be out of the house - Thanks! :( ) Fox rearranged their scheduling to get us moved on the same day, albeit later in the afternoon. More importantly, from a customer service perspective, Tammy (the customer service rep) really TRIED to find a solution to our problem vs. All My Sons who basically could've cared less. Also, movers were professional and good to be around. Were extremely flexible with asks and took great care of our belongings. Will use Fox for future moves for sure! read more

Using Fox Moving and Storage has not only been the worst experience but a total nightmare. I hired them to pack, move and put the contents of my home in their storage facility. It started out bad the very first day when the men came and were not aware they had to do the packing and did not have the boxes and packing materials. When I got my belongings back, it came back damaged, broken and chipped. They also lost my fine art. They did not compensate me fully for my loss. ***Check the truck before they pull away*** We were so busy with unpacking and the move in general that we didn't check the truck. The door was closed and we assumed everything was off of it, but there was still a portable a/c unit that they never brought in. The movers were very nice and arrived on time. I appreciated when they called when they couldn't find the address on the invoice. So technically they were late, but they called prior to arrival time which I was happy about. We hired a team of 3 at $129 an hour. They took 45 minutes to move 3 pieces on to the truck, basic furniture, nothing unwieldy. At the second stop, the main home to be moved, I didn't think they were slow per se, but the 3 of them were not always moving at the same time so I felt the 3rd person was a waste of money to hire. One additional note is that it was hot out for sure; it's summer after all. The guys were sweating all over the place including my floors and furniture. I offered ice water and paper towels to clean up and they refused both. So I was a bit grossed out by having to clean up sweat on all of my stuff. In the end, it was a total of about $750 with deposits and all for roughly 6 1/2 hours of work. Also, as time was carrying on, we asked them to just put the boxes in the garage to save time/money. I may or may not hire them again in the future, but I would move in the cooler temperatures (since I have a choice now) and also CHECK THE TRUCK before it leaves. P.s. Literally the WORST experience when using Fox Moving and Storage. If I could give zero stars, I would. Where do I start? Firstly, the movers were extremely careless and unprofessional when handling my furniture. Two of our dressers are badly damaged, as well as my wooden bed frame and a priceless antique chair losing a leg. Although we paid for three movers, only two were willing to actually do their job - one sat in the truck nearly the entire time. This, even though we were still billed for the full service. Lastly, we were missing cash and a necklace after the movers left. We tried to call the front office, but were met with major attitude and lip by Ron and the supervisor. Somehow, they tried to blame my family for having expensive items in the open, rather than the crew for theft? Entirely unprofessional. We filed a police report, but more than likely, no action will be taken. The management was so unhelpful and rude. I will NEVER suggest this company to anyone. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY. With their outrageous rates, unprofessional service, and and questionable employees, you'd be better off with literally anyone else. Too funny! I am currently researching moving companies in Atlanta, GA. Google search brought up Fox Moving & Storage and clearly states $89 per hr. I email them for a quote. I get a call from a guy, who seemed to me to be a bit slow, asking me the dumbest questions about bdrms and the rest of my space. He was annoying from the beginning. He says that the $89 is for a POV move (people who do not need a truck, just bodies) and it's $119 per hour. I told him that that's not what is advertised and he had the nerve to say "I have no idea what's on our website, I've only been here a yr and a 1/2" No excuse! He is a poor representation of the company by not knowing the product. I told him because the advertising does not match up, I do not deal with companies who say one thing and do another...he tried to loud with me and made a smart remark...I hung up the phone. WARNING DO NOT USE Worst moving company I ever used. I even called the national office and they stated they are not affiliated with this location. On a local move I paid this horrible company $874 to move a 3 bd apartment for 3 movers. One was drunk, one fell off the truck so he couldn't work. That left two men. They took an hour break from my apartment to my new residence. When they finally arrive they said the couldn't continue to work until they were paid. Then the placed all of my items in the garage saying they ran out of time. I called management to request a partial refund, and he lied and said he would send someone out to complete the job. Why didn't I read these reviews before booking? We had a very similar experience as all these other reviewers who used FOX Moving. They showed up hours late, brought a truck WAY too small for our move even though we had an in-home estimate, and we were promised 3 movers and only 2 showed up. A very simple move that should have been 4-5 hours tops, took 10 hours due to having to make 2 trips!!! Just Terrible! Horrible. Horrible company. It's the front office staff that I blame -not the hard working movers. They do not deliver the final product, but will hound you with emails, texts, and phone calls prior to the move then "BOOM!" If you call with dissatisfaction or complaints, the owner and sales rep will hang up on you! Do your self a favor, pay more for a reputable company. It will save you stress and anxiety in the long haul! (pun intended). read more

The contractors they use are not the problem. I don't think Fox is charging the customer Somethings in excess. I don't understand how I had to pay the same price for moving from an upstairs three-bedroom apartment and having them pack up everything for storage and then I'm dropping it off in an hour at all walkway entrance home when I called back to complain. I never got a response. It was I once they got their money they're done with me, I just want them to be fair because it doesn't take the same amount of time to do both moves even with the two hour minimum my first move they say took three hours. My second move only took an hour why was my cost the same and why didn't they refund me, the sales team doesn't really want to deal with you. Once they get the move booked they pass you off to the dispatch and the movers which is not right. Moving is an expensive task but as a consumer, every little bit counts, and the extra money they charged e was it right. They are not worth it. The movers were friendly and fast. However, I made the mistake of tipping them first. I should have waited; that was on me. the other extenuating circumstance was their second truck broke down; not anyones fault. The real issue was accuracy. I do not recall getting a contact number from the new driver Wes. He also did not perform an inventory assessment. there were boxes not taken, including the 2 large TV's and the rocking chairs. Eric did offer us a discounted refund and an apology. Advice: keep on the movers and dont let them leave until your inventory is confirmed. read more

First of all the actual movers were AWSOME, but me MINDFUL if not have your phone recording these folks, because there is a reason the choose "FOX" as their business name. I called on a Friday to book 3 men to move a king size bed out of my bedroom and assemble a adjustable base and put a mattress on top of it. Base and mattress were in a box, easy peasey right, one man I paid for was too busy secretly calling back and forth to the office, I say secretly because he had to go to the truck to call the first time about putting the base together, even though I was VERY SPECIFIC in what I needed done when I called them Friday. I had to pay an extra hour for one hour worth of work for 2 men, I guess the actual time was not enough for them. But the kick in the ass was this morning when I went to my bank account and saw an extra charge for them just to drive here to my home? WTF?? Now I drive a truck for a living, have been for 26 yrs., and it doesn't cost $139. to drive an hour. BE CAREFUL WITH THESE PEOPLE, THEY LIE AND TRY TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE YOU ARE CRAZY WITH DEMENTIA. My fault, I did not read the contract more carefully before I signed it, I had 3 men in my home, I care for my 89 year old Mother and have 3 cats I had secured in another bedroom. All in all, I paid $517 to move a king size bed out, another one brought into my home up one flight of stairs and then it disposed of. That took an hours worth of time, and I paid for one man to keep me distracted.a I will contact the Attorney Generals office and BBB to file a complaint, I don't intend to win anything as I said it was my fault not being more attentive and reading, but they will lie to you here and have no qualm bout it. This company is fantastic!! The day of my move, my movers didnt show up (All My Sons Movers), so I googled movers and Fox was the first to pop up. I called immediately and explained my emergency situation and they were out at my apartment within an hour!! They came to my rescue!! They moved me from 1 apartment to the other in an hour and a half and didnt break anything!! Patrick and his crew are very highly recommend!! If you are thinking about booking with Fox, I would recommend that you continue to look elsewhere. Fox clearly only cares about the money they receive and lack care for the customers experience and follow through. First, I will start with saying that I was quoted a 6-men crew. However, the actual men sent to assist with the move were less than half of what the job required (on both the move out and move in). Somehow the full crew never showed up (other either day), which led to our family having to work, even though we were clearly the customer. Secondly, I was overcharged for items that were not moved, and also had to spend additional money beyond the move to return to my home with a U-Haul and complete the move on my own. There was supposed to have been a final "Walk-Thru", which I pointed out items to be placed on the truck. Only later to find that all the items were still left behind (again causing additional expense for me and having to rent a U-Haul to complete the job that should have been done right the first time). I was told prior to the move that there would be adjustments made for what was not moved.... FALSE! Emails and phone calls were made to the office, with no response (at all). You would assume that someone/anyone in management would care enough to return a call or reply. However, they responded to inquires for a quote to move- which supports that Fox clearly received my emails and phone call/messages, however decided to "bury their heads in the sand". Also, there were damages to some of my personal items, along with items that I have yet to locate that should have made it back on the relocate. Sold some pallets to them. Price was 280. He only Gave me 250 so shorted me 30 bucks. That's after having me move them all to my home and having them sit in the driveway for two weeks waiting to be picked up. Well I can honestly say this is one of the better moving companies I've dealt with in the past few years and I have moved 5 times. The Rashad team was AMAZING!!! They only thing that concerns me is I ask for 3 men and got two and with the two guys it took them 7 hours and cost me $1039 dollars oh and buyer beware your $139 "first hour deposit" is your "transportation" fee that was very shady. read more
