They were professional responsive and timely in all communication. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Joel is a top notch expert that made the whole experience of having a workman come to the house painless and actually very enjoyable. I would recommend them highly. As an FYI I received the coating on my counters to protect from etching and when it scratch more to my liking in the first few months I called and within the week they were out to fix the issues. Local company that cares for its customers. read more

I had a great experience with Fox marble start to finish! When we had company visit, they splashed something on our Carrera marble bathroom counter tops & it left awful etching. After reading multiple places online that it couldn't be repaired or was very difficult to do so, I crossed my fingers & hoped Fox Marble could fix it. Julio came out to do my estimate. He was very professional & a really nice guy. He assured me they could repair the etch marks by refinishing the entire counter top...he said it would look like glass afterwards & it does. I was lucky, Julio was actually the person who came to do my job. I think he is the best. Not only is he extremely nice, he is an expert. He could tell I was nervous & told me several times "don't worry".... Based on my experience, I am confused by other reviews. I would definitely say, if you have a marble or tile need, then you should give them a call for an estimate. Talk to them & see for yourself. read more

My wife put a large chip into our new granite counter top so I called several places for estimates to repair. Fox marble was the first to get back to me They arrived when they said they would And Julio did an excellent repair for a reasonable price read more

We hired them to polish our old granite counters and fill the grout. Estimated 2-3 business days. They were the only company we could find that would do this work. Dan Lopez and Michael the polisher went the extra mile and we are happy with the result. read more

I called these guys with a weird request. I didn't need tile or a countertop. I'm a sculptor, not a homeowner. I was looking for a marble sphere to kick off a project and was at a loss as to where to find one. I spoke with Jeremiah who was super helpful and polite but explained how machining a sphere was a very difficult and expensive process. He asked for my email address though in case he thought of someone that could help. 20 minutes later he wrote and asked, "Did you try Ebay?" DOH! I hadn't even considered it. Now this guy didn't have to brainstorm a solution for me let alone email me his idea. He could've just gone about his business of dealing with _paying_ customers. Instead he helped out a hapless artist. When I finish this sculpture and it makes me rich and famous, I will surely remember his kind deed. Thanks for going above and beyond Jeremiah! I hope this review helps send lotsa business your way. read more

They are a joke and pure waste of time. I spoke to Jennifer, went to the warehouse, emailed them, gave them multiple calls and she never returned anything, VERY PROFESSIONAL!!!!! All this took me over 1 month of time wasted for for marble read more

I needed a vanity top cleaned and polished, and some exterior tiles replaced on the balcony of a high-rise project we'd gotten. I was perfectly clear about this and even sent photos. Dan, the sales rep responded to my initial email promptly. We set an appointment for the following Friday, a little over a week later because he said they were so busy that was the first opening he had. Not my preference, but we all get busy, so fine. He called the day before to confirm we were still on. Great. He arrived about 10 minutes early, and I explained I was on my way but caught in some traffic. So I suggested he go in and get started without me which he did. When I got there he had taken his own photos and was all finished. I explained my client was eager to get going and asked how long it would be before I had the quote. He said he'd have to have someone else do the quote for the exterior work, but he would get the quote for the vanity to me ASAP. Okay. Monday I sent a friendly reminder and he responded within the hour, with both quotes, copying Nick who had done the one for the exterior work. Up to that point, everyone had been the epitome of professionalism. An hour later I received an email from his superior Bill, saying they don't do exterior tile work on high-rises. That's it. No explanation why. No apology for the waste of time. No explanation for why they would send someone who doesn't know that or why the person who prepared the quote for that work doesn't know it. All I can think is maybe I dodged a bullet, because if that's the level of communication in this company I'm better off with another. read more

Fox Marble is an amazing service provider. They came highly recommended by our designer for stone care sealing. We were thoroughly impressed with the service we received from Fox Marble. Subsequent to our initial treatment, we encountered some chips in our stone. Miguel and Hector went above and beyond to restore our marble to almost-new condition. Highly recommend. read more

I'd give 6 stars if offered. Fox installed our counter top a few years ago. A dropped bottle chipped the edge of the granite top. Michael came out to repair it. Michael was amazing! Without wearing glasses you wouldn't know. Kudos to Michael and the Fox team. Thank you! read more

We had some marble that had some liquid spilled on it that caused some etching, and had Fox Marble restore it for us. They came out right away to give us an estimate. Once we agreed to the proposal, they set an appointment to do the work and showed up right on time. Now my floors look like new again. I would not hesitate to have them come back again if I ever need any additional work done. read more

OK this is my 3rd project using these guys... I'm running out of bathrooms! I love working with this company because their final product is just STUNNING! I went to a yoga retreat up North (I think in Sonoma or Mendicino) and saw this Verde borgonia (http://www.fox-marble.com/verdeborgonia.asp) in the main house and fell in love. Is it possible to fall in love with marble? I had to have it. So when I remodeled my kitchen, one of my 1st calls was to Fox. Charley said it was a premium stone and cost more than average. It was worth every penny! Plus every thing from start to finish was impeccable and professional. The seams are perfect. Janice helped me pick the actual slab from the warehouse / show room and she did a FANTASTIC job! I think she has 3D vission in her brain. All the slabs blend /merge perfectly and she added an extra stab to form a perfect match. This process is called templating and she spent extra time figuring out the best slabs that would fit together so it would look like one piece. read more

We have endured a messy, dispiriting construction project with dishonest, incompetent GCs and subs and very few bright spots. But, I am here to tell you that Fox Marble is a supernova in the endless darkness! From top to bottom, the staff at Fox are stellar. The sales rep - Bill - was patient and informative. He even sent a sweet handwritten note when all was said-and-done. Janice, our designer, is deeply experienced and masterfully diced and sliced our quartzite slab to perfection. Her suggestions were spot-on and creative. She even carved out a piece of leftover that we will make into a small working table/desk. Oh, and she, too, like Bill is patient and caring. Fernando came to create the template for the stone and was a pure pleasure with which to work. He, too, is vastly experienced and Sergio installed the quartzite masterfully. Finally, there is Nick who was incredibly flexible to our ever-changing needs. So, you can mess around with rookies and ne'er do wells, or you can save yourself time and grief by heading straight for the stars at Fox Marble. They are that good! read more

The team at Fox Marble are one of the most competent businesses in the building industry that I have worked with. We wanted a new, updated fireplace surround and hearth and visited several marble and granite purveyors and we were a bit put off since the people selling us the stone were not involved with the fabrication and installation of whatever we would buy. Fox Marble and Granite sells, fabricated and installs your chosen stone. Their system was seamless; you find the stone you like from their great selection, they help you with design and detailed measurement and follow thru to installation. After installation they cleaned up the room and departed, leaving us with a new fireplace that is more beautiful the we even imagined. read more

I had a leak around the base of a marble shower stall. three other companies(in addition to Fox) came out to give me an estimate. none of the other companies gave me the feeling that they really knew the source of the problem, nor did they seem that confident that they could fix the leak. Fox was more expensive, but had a better explanation of how they could make the repair. in addition, they cleaned & corrected substantial efflorescence (whitish discoloration) of grout, as well as matching & replacing broken grout in the leaking shower & another marble shower. all stone was cleaned & sealed. (they have a sealer product that has a 15-yr life.......most others say to re-seal every year). when they were finished, the showers looked brand new. the grout match was perfect. the job took several days, but the conduct of the crew was wonderful: everything explained, tools & materials completely cleared & the site cleaned up each day and very clear communication & accommodation of scheduling of the project to work for what I needed. AND, the shower no longer leaks!! in the end, I am very glad that I used a company that was so skilled & really understood how to solve my problem. getting a cheaper price is not always the best option......I"m glad that I used Fox! read more

I've never experienced such horrible customer service. The numerous attempts I've had to make to them to get in contact with me is ridiculous. Fox Marble & Granite is a fantastic company. We have done several projects with them and all have turned out great. Matt and his crew were a joy to work with. They have a huge selection of stone and they did a wonderful job of helping us select the stone that was just right for our projects. They showed us their vast array of machinery (they can do anything), how they were going to cut the stone, shape it and seam it so as to hide the seams. We would gladly work with them again and have recommended them to our friends. read more

Recently I had the opportunity to use Fox Marble for a second time. Last year we added granite counter tops to our kitchen and everyone who sees them gushes over how fantastic they look! The joins are so well done it looks like the slab is 3 inches thick. My dad was an old world craftsman so I can appreciate the high level Fox accomplishes when they fabricate their projects. This year I constluted Fox on a new front for my 1940's bedroom fireplace remodel. Once again they came up with a great looking product and were unbelievably helpful working with me to design the project. They are the best and I couldn't more pleased with them! read more

TERRIBLE- do not use Fox Marble! We were redoing our kitchen and we used Fox Marble for all our counters. The woman who helped us figure out how to allocate the slabs, Jeremiah, and the installers were all helpful, professional, and friendly, However, we found Bill Gamble the sales guy to be inflexible, unresponsive, and not customer oriented at all. We had a problem with our island which was cut too long to be an 11" overhand (and this was after Bill had sent us a paper detailing the maximum overhang of 8")- why would they cut a slab that they knew would be too long and would break off? This happened before the COVID shutdown so while we waited for them to correct the counter slab we had to eat off of a plywood center island for four months- not good. When we asked Bill Gamble to help resolve a pricing issue (they wanted to charge us another $1600 in labor just to come measure side splashes for the counters which, by the way, they had installed!) he was brusque and completely unhelpful. When we asked him to loop in the owner of Fox Marble we got ZERO RESPONSE- do these guys understand they are in a customer facing business? The tone of an organization is set by the leader and if the leader can't be bothered to even respond to a customer's request this isn't the type of business that you want to hire. Save yourself time, headaches, and money and hire another company. read more

We were looking for a new countertop and stopped by Fox several times. We had a tight schedule and limited budget. Fox completely stepped up and made both a very reasonable bid and promised to meet our schedule. So the service I received from Fox was great. We had our marble counters in our kitchen resurfaced and sealed by them and there was a issue with the product on the first round. When i called after a couple of days of drying time to make sure I followed directions and all it was explained that this happens once in a while and they would take care of it.And they did in a timely manner and everyone I worked with was great. Thanks, and just a note If you actually use your kitchen don't go with marble, came with the house, I miss my granite just works better in a kitchen. read more

Fabulous results! On time & on budget. Great customer service.

This is the first countertop sub I've worked with so far so It's hard to give 5 stars with a small frame of reference. However, they did a great job in all facets so I'm happy to. They worked with us on modifying our design to use some beautiful remaining scrap pieces of onyx. When Angel came out to make the template he caught an issue with two notches in the sink that the designers had missed and worked with us on adjusting the cut of the stone to accommodate the selected sink. When the stone came it fit the sink perfectly. His communication was great and catching that issue with the sink was huge for us. Our sales rep Peter provided well informed consultation on working around our cabinet install. The installers did a great job of making sure everything was perfectly level, hiding the joints as much as possible with well mixed color matched epoxy, and caulking the connections to the walls very accurately. read more

Superb product, excellent service. Yes, they're closed on the weekends. Many businesses are. Yes, it takes 2 weeks to get a templating appointment, but they tell you that at your first visit/phone call. And when you're doing a kitchen remodel that takes several weeks, you just have to plan ahead. Very nice people, from those in the office, to those who show you the stone, to the templater, and the installers...all very professional and really good at what they do. Yes, this place is expensive, but the mitered edges that come standard are flawless and beautiful. We love our new countertops. read more

i picked them because they were supposed to be high end and do a perfect job. their quote was certainly the highest. the guy who came to do the measurement was taking phone calls every 5 minutes. he was so distracted that the sink ended up off center. i requested flush sink cutout but in the end it was more than 1/8" reveal. the counter was going to be 1/8" overhang from drawer front but ended up flushed in some places. bathroom sink was to be minimum overhang but ended up being more than 1/4". engineered stone was supposed to be easy but seams were clearly visible. read more

These guys are wonderful. Yes, you have to plan ahead because they need a couple of weeks to come out, measure, cut etc. Yes, they aren't cheap. Yes, the neighborhood is scary. I got to move the template around until i found the exact layout that I wanted. read more

I'm afraid I will not be able to review Fox Marble's competence in refinishing my fiber cement countertop because I was unable to get them to respond to my amendment to their proposal (quote). The salesman was knowledgeable and represented the refinisher as experienced with this material and competent. But I had to contact them a couple of times to get them to send me a bid. I made some adjustments in the "contract" adding in some language recommended by the state contractors board, and revised the square footage. I never heard back from the office personnel. I then contacted the salesperson and asked if he could prompt the office staff to approve the revised bid. He emailed back asking that I call him, which I did. He couldn't talk to me at that time but said he would call back. He never did. I give up. They evidently have enough work that they can ignore potential customers. read more

Live in Marin. I tried to separate a frozen chicken leg pack from Cosco on our granite counter. It always breaks the chicken but this time, to my dismay the chicken didn't budge and a corner of the counter hit the floor. OMG, this is going to cost like $7K. I called the guys at Fox and they scheduled someone to check it out. I agreed to try a repair and two weeks later, someone obviously very skilled in the art of ubatuba surgery managed to glue it back together and hide the seams. I got left with a bill for $400 instead of needing a major kitchen redo. I'm quite grateful. read more

We moved into a completely renovated home a year and a half ago after moving from DC. As seems to be the standard in SF, the kitchen countertops were done in Carrera marble. From the beginning, it seemed to be a poor choice as its surface always felt "dusty" even as I was wiping it down, and it was stained by everything that dropped on it, including water condensation. . .ugly grey "ghosts" were popping up all over the place. I'm guessing it was never properly sealed after it was installed. I called Fox Marble after an unsatisfactory response from another company. From my first contact with Fox, I was impressed. They came out within days to assess the situation and give me estimates for two possible remedies. The estimates seemed most fair so I contracted for the work to be done. The first opening (holiday time) was in early January, 6 weeks away. They stayed in touch, requested a small deposit, showed up exactly on time on the day expected. The two workmen set about protecting the surrounding area from any pixie dust from smoothing the surface. They were very focused and conscientious in what they were doing and they cleaned up everything before leaving that day. They also had prepared the nicked edges around the sink so it would look like new again! The second day, Juan and Eduardo arrived to put the sealant on and finish the job. They were amazing. Our counters look fabulous now, no residual stains, and satiny smooth. Water drops and even coffee drops clean up without any reminder they were ever there. FYI, I chose the cheaper finishing (the other is a "life-time guarantee" and much more expensive; the lesser should last a long time, too, just not "totally impermeable"). I would highly recommend this company if you want quality work done in a timely fashion. If I ever need marble help again, I will not hesitate to pick up the phone and call Fox Marble. The people were GREAT!!! read more
