Wow, this place is a GEM! I'm an avid remote worker, and I'm constantly on the hunt for the perfect coffee shop to fuel my productivity. Fourth Wall Coffee is hands-down one of the best I've found in New Orleans. It's got this chill, artsy vibe with a bit of an old-world feel and quiet comfort, that makes it super easy to focus and get shit done. Plus, the coffee is seriously delicious. I'm a big fan of their cappuccinos, but they also have a great selection of other coffee. The front of the coffee shop has a book nook with a couple of seats up there that make it feel very cozy. As you walk back you are introduced to a cool bar with plenty of seating and a few tables that are perfect for posting up at with your computer. There is an amazing courtyard in the back that is well worth sitting out there when it's nice. This is also an event space so there is extra seating in the back through a set of doors so there's no lack of space. I was there on a Friday morning and it got pretty busy. Wow, this place was great. I went after seeing locals post about it on Reddit saying it had one of the best Chai latte's they've had. That is my favorite drink so I had to try. I can attest that this is the best iced chai latte I've had in the city. It is so well balanced. I also tried one of their season drinks. An iced brown sugar oat milk latte. It was also so good. As someone who works from home and lives in the neighborhood this is one of my favorite places to do work as long as no one is smoking in the courtyard which can be an issue. Otherwise it's a quiet little oasis from the chaos of the city with delicious matcha, chai and coffee some pastries and light food and overall a great vibe. The inside space is also very cozy but the courtyard is my favorite. The staff is always friendly and they offer a here option which as someone who drives to be environmentally friendly I really appreciate. I was so excited to come to this place - I have heard really good things & it was so cute & service was super good - everything was pretty clean & coffee + food was delicious , but after sitting in one of the study areas I noticed a rat speeding around from the holes in the floor - I'm not sure if it was just one mouse/rat moving super fast through all of the floor holes or if it was multiple - another person working close by me also noticed the rat/mouse. After , I noticed all of the holes in the carpet and the rat running around I had to immediately leave. Hopefully this gets resolved asap! read more

When I think of coffee shops in it's entirety Fourth Wall Coffee is the prototype. When you're dining in, no 2 cups are the same. (Literally because they don't have the standard cup like most coffee shops/big name coffee shops do). I had ordered the vanilla latte and you know, it's a vanilla latte.. can't really mess that up (I'M LOOKING AT YOU ST*RBUCKS) Vanilla Latte - 5/5 very well balanced, if not, they had simple syrup in the front if you prefer it to be sweeter. The baristas? were very nice and sweet to my girlfriend when she had asked for her drink to be sweeter These New Orleans buildings can either be really small or big, Fourth Wall Coffee is huge! We didnt check out the entire establishment but they have this courtyard where you can sit and enjoy your coffee surrounded by "suburban nature". JAW-DROPPING. I didn't know what to expect when walking into Fourth Wall Coffee, but pictures don't do it justice. This is one of the most memorable places I visited on my NOLA trip, and all I had was a latte and blueberry muffin. I ordered from the wonderful barista up front (talking to them was very calming) and wandered around the different spaces to scope out where I wanted to chill. I settled on the back outdoor patio. I wish I could have spent a few hours here reading a book, but I had to catch a flight back home. There were several people on their laptop, working away. It really did seem like they were in parallel universes, being in such differently-decorated rooms. One visit and Fourth Wall is officially one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. It's such a vibe. It manages to feel extremely cozy and inviting while being incredibly spacious. There are several little nooks and rooms in addition to a really peaceful court yard with a pond. There's also a full bar, but I don't think they serve drinks during regular business hours; only for special events (I discovered that it used to be a theatre as well!). The barista, Kevin, was super friendly and helpful and his playlist was fire! It's a perfect spot to take a meeting, have coffee with a friend, or settle in with a good book. This was a hidden gem in the CBD. Fourth Wall Coffee is such a nice place to go study and hangout. There is both an in door area with tons of seating and also a nice patio area if you are looking somewhere nice to sit outside. There are also numerous books available there that you could pick up and read. I tried the Peaflower Blossom Iced Tea and it was super refreshing especially during the recent heat wave in NOLA. This place seems to be a hidden gem. It's GORGEOUS. The vibe in here is unmatched. There are plants everywhere, there are books and beautiful art. When I walked in, I didn't expect it to be so big! It definitely transported you to a different place & you didn't feel like you were in the city. I loved that! My latte was weak & was very milk forward. It didn't have much coffee flavor. The cups were different sizes as well. My husband got the same drink as me, but his cup was larger & mine was smaller. Next time, I would add an extra shot of espresso. My new favorite coffee place! They are sort of hidden on Gravier between St. Charles and Camp. They don't have an actual sign on the building, so look for their address instead. Most times they put out a small sandwich board with their name on it in front of the door. My go to drink there is an iced latte, and every time I've gotten it, it has been perfect. They have really good Spinach Quiche and Blueberry Muffins, too. I love to sit in the courtyard in back. It's very peaceful and you forget you are in the middle of the CBD. Their 2 other rooms have plenty of tables and free wi-fi if you need it, too. They also have a full bar in back. I only come in the mornings, so I have not tried their bar drinks yet. This place rocks! Looks small from the outside but has many rooms and a garden area. The coffee was outstanding. We both enjoyed it and the ambiance was excellent. Baked goods were yummy. We had a cornbread jalapeño cookie and loved it. Wanted to bring home with us. They had local bagged coffee so I got a bag and local pickled products and Jams. I wanted to give this place 5 stars for the ambiance alone. It feels like a cozy stylish parlor in a private home, and I could comfortably spend several hours here at a time in one of the many nooks for reading. There's a lovely courtyard too which seems protected from the day's heat. It's much bigger than it appears from the entrance--lots more rooms in the back and plenty of wholesome diversions like supplies for art and writing and even a chess set. My only gripe, and this is kind of a big one when you have certain sensitivities, is that they only serve fully caffeinated coffee. The iced vanilla latte I ordered was good quality, but please, for the love of God, get some decaf! I would be a regular here and would bring literally every out-of-town friend who passes through NOLA. They offer herbal teas but I have those at home and would much prefer to be able to order a nice cold latte without ending up with heart palpitations and a migraine. Some splenda or sweet and low would be amazing too as I'm not much of a stevia person.... or I might just bring along my own packets. Worth it to hang out in this gorgeous space. read more

Head to the back for an oasis of seating - there's a huge art gallery space with big tables and giant jenga, a small leafy patio, a mix of tables and couches and even a fully stocked bar. It's the kind of coffee shop with boozy coffee cocktails, so it's a good idea any time of day. Their special is a shot and a beer, that's espresso with a stout. Super cool. If you want a place to sit awhile and study or work, this is number one. So many seats, plus it's super close to the action but far enough away from the touristy center that it isn't crazy. read more
