Super fun experience! We enjoyed dining in a small, intimate setting. As others have mentioned, it is a four-course fixed menu. The menu changes monthly. At the last minute, my guest was not able to join me at Fourk due to becoming ill. Another friend accepted my last minute, like one hour before seating time, invitation. When you make your reservations online, you are asked if there are any food preferences or allergies. My original guest had no food allergies. However my last minute guest cannot eat diary. The staff and chef were extremely accommodating and even though they had no prior notice, they creating or modified entrees meeting my guest's food restrictions. All of the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The four staff were all friendly, personable, attentive, and professional. I will definitely be back! read more

Was very excited to try, but unfortunately the experience was extremely sub par. - on arrival, we opened the menu and a spider jumped out - they were short staffed - I did not receive my cocktail until 20 minutes after the rest of my party was served and they did not have anyone behind the bar that knew how to make cocktails - food portions were small and we left hungry - food was all right, but for $54 per person was extremely underwhelming - will not be returning based on the slow service, sub par food and ambience, and expensive price. read more

Keep an eye out for the menu monthly. My wife and I enjoyed our first experience here in July and look forward to another menu where we can attend a dinner. Good wine pairings and a couple of appetizer options available. Happy hours gives you a chance to try some of their wines and beers at a lower price point. read more

Wonder food at a reasonable price for the quality. It was a casual ambiance with great stories from the staff. The food very high quality and delicious. we we're vegetarian and our friends were not and we all agreed it was wonderful. It is not cheap but I thought the cost was worth it read more

We came here on a Thursday night with a reservation. Reservations are required. We enjoyed the intimate ambience and the service of the restaurant. The restaurant has a prix fixe 4-course menu with optional wine pairing. The menu changes monthly. I found the food to be good, but not great. The dishes that we had were not that creative. We have been to other restaurants with prix fixe menus, and found that the dishes at these other restaurants to be more creative and unique. Our main entrée was steak. The steak was slightly underdone for my taste. I also did not like that the steak and other dishes were served at room temperature - even the dessert, which was a strawberry shortcake was not served warmed. It is obvious the food was all prepared in advance and have been sitting out for some time. The staff were all very attentive and we enjoyed the stories they shared about the restaurant. read more

Went here last night. There is only one seating that starts at 6:30 but you want to get there at least by 6. Everyone receives a 4 course prix fix menu that is delicious, but portions are small and of course you only get what they offer. The atmosphere is casual. The hosts do their best to interact with everyone in the room. The chef was nice but failed to embellish the flavors of his creation. He simply read the menu. An area of growth for them. The menu changes monthly. This month was Cesar salad, lamb lollipops, chicken and sausage dish and sweet potato pie. My favorites were the lollipops and pie and I rarely eat dessert! Finally with 2 glasses of wine and 2 beers, our bill was $200. For this price point I would expect to be a nicer venue, like Ella Dining or even Scott's Seafood. Even so, I give it 4 stars for being different and the creative menu. read more

This was our 4th time to visit. Unfortunately it was not as enjoyable as other visits, mostly with the execution of the meal. Here is what went wrong in my opinion. 1. Food was warm at best, but tasty. The asparagus was over cooked. 2. Our last glass of wine with dessert had soap residue left in it. In fact my glass still had water drops in it before the wine was poured in. The Chef replaced our glass , and apologized, but the second glass for my wife still had soap residue in it. When we asked for a new glass again I felt like the host thought we were being to picky about it. More glasses would have helped. Bottom line at $125 person, I expect better. read more

Great atmosphere, intimate, excellent food and FUN. We did the reserve wine pairing and thought it was excellent. They accommodated my husband being gluten free. Although I'd challenge you to do a gluten free pasta instead of rice but overall it was fine. For the money, it was definitely worth it! We will be back! Thank you for an awesome time with our friends! read more

Love the idea. Ambiance was inviting classy and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Food... When serving wings they should either be deep fried or baked on racks and turned once. In general flavor was lacking. Favorite things were some quick pickled cherry/onions that went with the appetizer and the peach spiced honey caprese. Wine flight was pleasant. Overall the food was disappointing. read more

Our first visit to Fourk and a fixe plate style of dining. What a wonderful experience. Our server, Natalie, was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, the chef, the owner and the wine. The food prepared by chef, Jesse, was AMAZING!! Such an incredible way to celebrate our 37th anniversary. We have already made a reservation to return to Fourk next month. Do we recommend? FOURK YEAH!!! read more

For a 68th birthday celebration we chose to go to Fourk Kitchen in Folsom. Got there at 5:30 for happy hour and ordered flatbread appetizers with goat cheese, fig chili and prosciutto and the second with brie, prosciutto and pear. Appetizers were exquisite. We chose wine pairings with our meal and so pleased we did. Chef Todd prepared each of the four courses exquisitely. Shelby and staff were engaging, informative and accommodating. I drove up from the central coast to celebrate my dear friend's birthday. We had a joyful experience and recommend this veteran owned business to all who enjoy good food. This is a treasure. read more

We went to the grand opening last night and it was such a fun experience. The food was phenomenal. The staff was fun and friendly, loved that the Chef aka Food Slut came out and chatted with us all after the last course. Everything thing seemed to run smooth, you would have never known it was opening night. We will definitely be back. read more

We have been to Fourk Folsom 3 times and could not be more pleased! This place is amazing. The perfect date night, great food and atmosphere AND it's affordable!!!! Will be returning! read more

I absolutely love this place. I loved each of the four courses, loved how it was interactive in that we got to learn about the history behind the restaurant and the meaning behind everything. It made me really enjoy our dinner. If you're looking for a DELICIOUS date night spot that's unlike a typical restaurant... this is the spot. I really don't think you can go wrong. I loved the staff, they did such a great job. The service was top notch. It felt like such a special meal. Nothing but good things to say. Will be back for sure. read more

Have been wanting to try since they opened the Folsom location and so we finally made a reservation for the week of valentines because the menu matched our style best. The food was good, nothing super creative or mind blowing but everything was solid. The service was excellent. The whole place has a nice casual vibe. For the price it was a good value. Especially the wine pairing. read more

Food, service and ambiance were terrific. Only one seating per night and it takes the entire three hours. This is a dining experience, not a quick dinner or a restaurant that just turns over 5-6 tables per night. Show up at 5:30, sit and relax, enjoy some beverages and an awesome four course meal to top it off. Very engaging staff and the fork theme is used as a way to interact with everyone. You need to experience this place at least once. Will visit again!! read more

Absolutely perfect dinner experience!!! Shelby and the staff were so gracious, warm and accommodating. The food was fantastic beyond description. So well done Todd. I hate to recommend it because I don't want you to take my spot. But don't miss this opportunity. Support this vet owned business. You will not be sorry!!!! read more

This place is an experience. Almost exclusive like. Remember to make online reservations which can fill up and be a couple months before you can get a seat. So check their website. Everyone will get dinner at the same time and usually the four course meal is done around 830 pm. They offer wine and appetizers at an additional cost. The wine pairings to the food are amazing. I enjoyed all the food and different flavors, I didn't drink, but wine would have paired nicely and enhanced all the flavors. The staff introduces themselves which is nice and interacts with customers. It's a different experience, but I think it's a great date for couples and friends. I think I would like to see maybe a side of bread (pieces of baguette?) to go with the meal and maybe some salt and pepper. Other than that I definitely think everyone should have an experience like this. read more

Came here their first official open weekend and we had a great time. The food and hospitality was great! Our only feedback was that the steak needed a bit more salt, other than that we enjoyed everything and they were open to the feedback. I thought it was neat that the forks they have on the tables date back to the early 1900's some or one from the 1800's. Such a cool concept and I love the intimacy of it, great date night addition to Folsom read more

My husband and I love this place! The food is delicious and a great value! The service is wonderful. Can't wait to go back!

I highly recommend this restaurant. This was part of my Anniversary present and it did not disappoint. The food was great. The intimate setting was just what I craved for a Friday evening. Amazing. We were so excited to hear of this concept in folsom and couldn't be happier with our experience. Food was delicious, well seasoned, unique, and did I say delicious?! Wine selection was great, we went at 5:30 and had 24% off for happy hour ("4"is a theme here) had a glass at happy hour price and a bottle with dinner. They do offer wine pairing as well. The staff was wonderful (Shelby and Tony to name a few) the restaurant has a feel of upscale yet laid back at the same time, you almost feel like part of the crew. 100% will be back. read more

Great meal. Love the prix fixe menu and wine pairings. Very friendly service.

This was our first time at Fourk. The food was outstanding, wine pairing was spot on, service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was comfortable. The noise level was low enough that we could have a conversation at the table. I can't wait to come back and bring a group of friends. read more

I have dined at the Fourk in Lincoln and it was always a great experience. I had a reservation for tonight in Folsom and was looking forward to dining there. Unfortunately, I had a family emergency that precludes me from attending. Shelbie was more than helpful and understanding and essentially, she rescheduled my reservation to another day without penalty. I am so appreciative of everything Shelbie did and I look forward to finally eating there. read more

I absolutely love the Prix Fixe concept as a monthly date night. My husband and I will definitely be back. Fourk is new and I think there are kinks to be worked out. I'm sure they will nail it in a few months. We tasted the first night of their newest offering. The salad was tasty but unoriginal. I would have liked to see some greens (besides micro). The second course was a soup that just needed something. Maybe a crispy wonton on the side. The third, beef course was fantastic. Perfectly cooked. Dessert was good but it was clear that it came right out of the freezer. My husband and I's strawberries were still frozen. We did the wine pairing, and were pleased with each one. I'm looking forward to giving them another try. read more

Love the concept, but we left feeling overcharged and hungry! The 4 course meal serves up small portions, more of a "sample" of each course. 2 bites of salad, 3 bites of soup, a small portion of boiled meat with nothing on the side, and for our menu the dessert was whipped cream on top of a very salty biscuit (Think KFC). I have never spent $200 on a meal and then had to drive straight to a different restaurant because we we left hungry (and we did exactly that after leaving there). The staff was very nice, but the service was lacking. Wine spilling during the pour, water from the tap with no ice, dishes needing to be handed to the server, drinks being removed before being finished.... we would have expected a little more from an "upscale" restaurant , the price for food, and mandatory 20%"fourking fee". If you are looking to spend a few hundred dollars on dinner and want a flavorful culinary experience, I would try Echo & Rig , Q1227, or Siennas. If you want to spend a few hundred dollars on sampling an "experience" like you would see on " The Lost Kitchen" then try this place, but don't come for the food, and don't come when you are hungry. read more

This place was Fourking Awesome! Great menu and a lot of fun for date night. The staff made sure our glasses never got empty.

A fun evening with good food and friendly staff. We'll definitely be going back again.

My husband and I were very excited to try this place and booked the reservation with a deposit. Overall, the food was good, service was good, but it didn't justify the expense of it. We're not big drinkers (or picky eaters), but even with the "discount" of placing the deposit, the bill was much more than either one of us expected. For 2 people, all told it was around $250. We definitely feel like we got "fourk'ed". The soup was good, the appetizer was so so, the main course was good, but I found more fat on my "meat" than actual meat. I liked the dessert, but my husband didn't care for it at all. If you're going, it's for the experience... and now that we've experienced it, we probably won't be going again because the value just isn't there for us. read more
