There aren't too many holes that really stand out, but I find myself admiring the serene beauty of a course nestled within the middle of nowhere. What the course lacks in imagination, it certainly makes up for with distance. Most of the holes are pretty straight, but if you miss the fairway, you'll probably find yourself playing for bogey (or worse :( ) due to its sheer length and difficulty working yourself out of the rough. The course doesn't experience as much foot traffic as some of the other MCG courses closer to DC, so my rounds have usually been less than 4.5 hours (thank god!) and therefore the course conditions are also slightly better than most public courses. The tee time prices are pretty inexpensive and I've always found the staff to be super-friendly; there usually is a cart-girl on the weekends. It's a longer drive to get here for me compared to other courses, i.e. Needwood, Laytonsville, or Northwest, but the green pastures and wide open views of the land make the drive a pleasant trip. Overall, I would say I don't come up here that often, but every now and then, playing here is a worthwhile experience for me.

When I requested to cancel due to their false representations, I was told there were no refunds simply because I had already signed--despite the agreement being based on misleading information. The walking trails are well maintained and both bikers and walkers are friendly! This is an amazing park. With indoor tennis, indoor pool as well as outdoor tennis, and outdoor pool. A water recreation area. Soccer fields and baseball/softball diamonds as well as a huge picnic area. This part has something from everyone! Owned by a South Asian it does cater to a lot of South Asian weddings but also other denominations. Pretty and large open space. However you have to park at the bottom of the Hill and walk up. If its cold or in heels, good luck. There is a small shuttle that will take 4-7 folks up but be careful getting in and out. If its early April and its cold, wear warm clothes like a overcoat. The bar and place for food buffets is outside...great for warm weather but not cold. The outdoor toilets flood so be aware. Nice large tent for guests but in cold weather don't depend on warmth from the heater as the door outside stays open a lot. Seems like a nice place to hold weddings with space but caveats beware.

He took a bunch of pictures and videos and sent them to everyone in the group. I'm thankful to have such awesome pictures that didn't cost us extra. I'm giving 4 stars despite the filth because Steven was friendly, welcoming, and I enjoyed the experience. My advice: TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY for your business instead of accusing people of posting fake reviews or saying "it must've been another place". This is the ONLY time where an owner has not only not apologized but tried to say I'm posting for the wrong Castle Strasburg. How many Castle Strasburg horseriding places are there in Midland, VA?
