Very easy and short nine-hole course that is one of the Montgomery Country golf courses. Longest hole is 414 yds from the back tees (#9). The last four holes are trick holes. 6 and 9 have a creek across the fairway about 210-220 yds out, however if you lay up with more than a 7 or 8 iron, the extremely down sloping fairway will still put you in the creek. 7 and 9 are doglegs such that unless you drive at least 250 yds, you can't get around the heavily wooded bend and reach the green in two. Rest are straightforward and very easy. Course is in very good condition, has friendly staff in clubhouse, and is inexpensive. It was uncrowded (played by myself) on midweek afternoon. Great little warm-up course.

Nice finish to a kick of that soccer ball for footgolf!

BTW, this course is closed until 1 March 2019. Not sure why MCGGolf doesn't post that on their website.

Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful family memory was completely ruined by the behavior of one of their course marshals, older black gentlemen, he said his name was Mr. Smith. When we arrived, we were upfront and told Mr. Smith that we had only played on a golf course a few times. Instead of using that information to be helpful or patient, he used it as a reason to single us out and hover over our group for the entire round. We understood the pace of play expectations and made every effort to keep up, but the constant monitoring felt more like harassment than course management. When I accidentally drove onto the green, instead of calmly explaining the mistake, Mr. Smith became hostile and condescending. He spoke down to me and my son, refused to let me speak, and physically snatched the key out of our cart. There was no professionalism, no patience, and no basic human respect. We were paying customers on a family outing, not children being disciplined. We did not finish our round. We gathered our belongings and left. We drove up the road to the University of Maryland Golf Course, where we were greeted warmly and treated with complete professionalism by Director Jeff Maynor. That experience reminded us what a welcoming golf environment actually looks like, and it is a standard Paint Branch clearly needs to work toward. I am a federal employee at NASA Headquarters, and many of my colleagues frequent this course. I will be sharing this experience with them. I will also be reporting this matter to the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation. Golf should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, including families and newer players. The way we were treated does not reflect that value at all.

East Potomac has a course for everyone no matter their skill level or time commitment. They offer a 9-hole Par 3 (Red course), 9-hole (White course), and a 18-hole (Blue course) course that are all enjoyable to play and are manageable for even beginners to play. The pace of play is usually good, but on a nice day you might run into a bit of a delay (worst I've seen is about 10-15min behind). The greens and tee boxes aren't always in the best condition, but they're maintained fairly well on all three courses that it won't throw off your game. For the cost of play, it's hard to beat the value you get from playing at East Potomac. ALSO, I always forgot that they have a newly renovated mini golf course if you're looking for something a little more lighthearted to play.

Our company completed the work as agreed and invoiced the business, but the invoice was never paid. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly, we ultimately had to take additional measures to collect payment. For small services businesses, situations like this are extremely damaging. Contractors invest time, labor, equipment and materials with the expectations that the businesses will operate respectfully and honor their agreements. Laurel Golf Center is not one of those businesses. We strongly encourage other vendors and contractors to steer clear of doing business with Laurel Golf Center.

In April 2019, it was with a couple of friends, and I was relatively impressed with the course. While it's a fairly simple looking mini golf course, there are some challenges. The course is nicely maintained and better than a couple of other area courses I've been to. It's above average for the area, but not the best I've been to around here. I do consider myself lucky to have only 2.5 miles from home since 2020. In April 2023, there was a Meetup group meeting here. However, there was a transformer power outage in the area, and they had to close the course before we started. He rescheduled the Meetup for another Monday 5 weeks later in May 2023. The Meetup organizer is great at mini golf, but he was having an off day explaining all the various challenges this course has, and he says it always throws him off some. I enjoyed hearing his stories, but for me, I enjoyed the course and its challenges (well until I saw my high score...haha). Overall, this is a nice course and will return in the future.

My boys were excited to step up to the plate and hit some balls. When we got to the location, it was later in the evening so we couldn't really see much of what the outside of the facility looked like. This location is a bit dated and in need of some TLC. You walk in there isn't alot to see. Several old video games like Pac-Man, many old bubble gum machines and a soda machine. The batting cage machine use tokens and not quarters. For $1 you get 2 tokens, each worth 1 game of 9 pitched balls a piece. You can either choose to play softball or baseball. Select your bat and helmet and head outside to the batting cage. To the right you will find about 4 cages for softball & to the left you will find the baseball cages: a couple slow pitches, a couple medium pitches 1 curve ball pitch and 2 fast ball pitches. It was pretty chilly outside but we ended spending about an hour there and we had blast. This place is not glitzy or appealing to the eye but it worked in a jiffy when I needed to get the boys out of the house.

Affordable memberships considering the area. I have friends who have been members for years and still enjoy it. The golf course is really solid. They have a great mixture of holes. A couple of drivable par 4s and all the par 5s are reachable from certain tees. Two tough par 3s on the back that can make or break a round. Green surrounds are tough if you're in the wrong spot. The greens themselves are always in fantastic shape. They are severely sloped at times, so you must be accurate with your approach shots. I couldn't find the golf course architect on their website, but they did a good job considering the hilly topography and small footprint of the property. But I can also see one hitting pretty much the exact same shots every time no matter what tee box you're playing. Favorite hole: Par 5 12th, except for the yellow range balls that litter the left side. Downhill the entire way. Range on the left, trees and then the 18th hole on the right. Reachable for many with usually a blind-ish to a peninsula green with water right and long. The very tall red stake frames the front right of the green. Very cool hole before the brutally tough par 3 13th. The driving range is good and they have really nice Titleist practice balls to hit. The short game area is outstanding. I could spend hours out there with a few wedges. They have two small-ish putting greens on either side of the clubhouse. The restaurant is a great space and they have an area for bigger events. The food and service are both good too. Sadly, I have not enjoyed the pool area. Just a solid club overall. The members I have interacted with have all been great. I have had and heard somewhat mixed interactions with the people that run the place, but nothing bad enough to write about here.
