Beds are a steel platform single mattress with shower curtains as bed sheets. The miniature bar of soap reflected the value for the money in this motel. The air conditioning is difficult to understand and control. There is no in-room coffee dripper. The wifi password does not have an associated wifi address, so the visitor must use a link to a cell phone to get internet. This motel is perfect for a thick-skinned weary motorist passing through with nowhere else to sleep for the night. The worst feature of a stay here is the coffee shop. The 2025 economy hit this town hard. The motel advertises a "full breakfast included" which is totally untrue. A coupon caps the breakfast to $12.00, and items on the menu, like coffee and a plate of food, add up to more than $12.00. The guest must go along with the ruse. Coffee at $2.50 per cup is watery at best. Muffins at $4.50 are days old reheated in a microwave. Hash brown potatoes, toast, and eggs at $9.50 are unevenly heated and taste stale. The motorist gets a $12 voucher from Country Squire and must sit and calculate how to fit in a cup of coffee and a breakfast for under $12. It's a mental exercise for food that is mediocre. One must eat here as an emergency rather than as a pleasure. An incident occurred where a desk keeper asked about our stay as we checked out. We responded by asking why did our bed have a polyester shower curtain instead of a cotton bed sheet. The desk keeper heard our accent and said, "Go back to Russia." This means if the weary motorist wants to be personally insulted and ethnically abused, this is the right motel for the motorist. However, at the check in at the start of the stay, another desk keeper chatted with another patron, likely a close friend, and ignored us until she was done chatting. All told, this are not an 'Inn and Suites' and its ratings are likely fakes. At $135 plus tax per night, this motel is worth $30 per night as it is nothing more than a hole in the wall to sleep off a long drive. This dive provides little to nothing for an elevated price in 2025. Perhaps a motorist had better plan a trip away from New Holland to get far better road side accommodations and save himself the ethnic insults.

I found the Adamstown Inn online, and it was reasonably priced, the photos didn't look like Great Aunt Gertrude's parlor, and every room had an en-suite fireplace (my one stipulation). We stayed 2 nights in the Topaz room at the Amethyst Inn. It was amazing. The Amethyst Inn is a big, old (but beautifully maintained) Victorian home, converted into the Inn. Our room was equal parts Victoriana (joie de vie wallpaper and a very ornate cast iron fireplace) and Country - beautiful antique oak furniture. The queen sized featherbed was luxurious and we slept like babies. The bathroom was updated, immaculate and the jacuzzi was amazing. Breakfast was to die for. Four courses each morning of fantastic, unique home cooked goodness. Everything was so fresh and amazing. Their coffee was great (and endless) as well! The staff was wonderful and warm, but not intrusive. They were incredibly thoughtful. Every day there was a small gift waiting for us on the bed, and when we left they gave us snacks for the road! It snowed overnight the 2nd night, and they even cleaned our car off for us before we woke up. This place is first rate, gourmet, beautifully decorated and it is a wonderful respite away from Philadelphia. We, much like The Terminator, will be back.

We spent a weekend at this lovely BNB, in July. We had not heard from the establishment before we…read morearrived but it turned out that it was the fault of the group we booked it through. We called the number on the door and the call was immediately answered by Brian, one of the owners. He was very kind and walked us through the process of checking in, which was very easy. The other guests that we encountered were also very pleasant. The BNB is located on Main Street with many option within walking distant for dinner. I had worried that there might be a lot of street noise from traffic - nothing to worry about because most of the businesses are not opened late. The breakfast was made each morning by a wonderfully helpful woman, Cindy. She answered questions about the area and where to visit. The room was pleasant and most importantly the bed was comfortable. We would definitely return here again and recommend it to friends.

I'm also in the hospitality business, so when I found out Hersheypark was adding a brand new hotel to its portfolio, I knew exactly where I planned on staying. Although it has a little bit of kinks it needs to work out, it was a very good stay. Hershey Inn and Suites isn't as fancy as its older siblings, the Hershey Hotel and the Hershey Lodge, and that's perfectly okay. When I stay at a hotel for a theme park (with the exception of a Disney property) I don't intend to spend much time at the hotel. So give me a good bed, fresh towels, and be nice. This place checks all the boxes. It's going to feel like a Hampton Inn or along those lines, but with a couple extra bonuses. They offer free shuttles to the park, as well as complimentary tickets to the Hershey Museum and Hershey Gardens. We actually used those tickets to see the Hershey Museum, and that was pretty interesting. Everything about the stay was simple and nice, and for my first real vacation in quite some time, that was what I was looking for. There were a couple of oopsiedoodles, which is to be expected for a brand new property. One of our towels had a stain on it, and since it was a reddish color there was a chance it was blood. No big deal, I let the front desk know, and they said to put it in a bag and leave it for housekeeping to pick up. It was still there when we returned, even though the room had been refreshed. Also, the complimentary breakfast was really tasty on Friday but really not on Saturday. Maybe there were different people involved? But in all fairness, that was the only inconveniences we ran into. Everything else was great. The people there are incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. Shout out to Kimmie at the Front Desk - she just started and was totally rocking it! And although the food wasn't so great on Saturday, the F&B crew working the breakfast were really nice and got the day of traveling back home off to a wonderful start. I opened up a brand new property on the Las Vegas Strip before back in 2010, so I know new hotels can have some very unique challenges, but I have no doubt that the Hershey Inn and Suites will be able to fix these fairly quickly and become a great destination.
