The TWO teams, from our club, that were forced to book this hotel LEFT (8 families before even spending the night there and the REST left the next morning.) EVERY. SINGLE. Family that left provided REASONS to the front desk staff of one of the following issues: pests, bed bugs, urine stains, smells of marijuana/smoke. So don't tell me that "at the time of your stay, no confirmed safety, pest, or sanitation concerns were reported to management or documented on-site". Management "wasn't available or onsite to meet or talk. We had 5 people BIT by BUGS!! They charged us ALL for the 3 days - they are CROOKS. We are fighting for a refund! You just earned yourself a visit from the Lancaster County Health Department!!!!! We will NOT let this go. We WILL get a refund and you WILL be reported!!!

I appreciate it, Tyler! They price gouged terribly because it was an event weekend at Spooky Nook. For the lack of cleanliness and the state of the rooms, it's not worth $200+ per night. (Was charged $300 for Saturday night and $200 for Sunday). The only positive is that it's very close to the event space so it's convenient for early call times. But next year, we'll find somewhere else unless they get their pricing under control.

We stayed in the Courtney Room which was on the second floor. It was a small room but it was perfect for us! It was right off a shared living room but lucky for us, no one was in that room! The B&B was within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants downtown. We ended up walking to dinner and then did a mini-pub crawl! When we arrived "home" later in the evening, there were some fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies waiting for us! We really enjoyed them and even took some up to the room for later! The next morning we woke to find coffee in the living room at 7am. The coffee from Whiff Roasters was to die for! Breakfast was served later in the dining room and it was delicious! Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend the Lititz House Bed & Breakfast!!

There's nothing that annoys me more than B&B operators who feel they have to be so nice and helpful that they smother you. The Lititz House wasn't like this at all. John and Heidi, the owners, made us feel like we were visiting friends, but were very professional and competent at the same time. Not an easy trick to pull off. The rooms were cozy, with bathrooms for all. Keeping in mind this is a 100 year old house, the retrofitting is mostly seamless. A couple of the bathrooms were on the small side, but no smaller than your own house. Breakfast was excellent, and the coffee and juices are a standout. (I know that sounds silly, but they were fantastic)

I would like to preface this review with the fact that I have been in service my entire life,…read moreincluding managing a hotel myself. I currently work for American Airlines at the Charlotte Douglas Airport. The front desk agent Matt - caused me to walk away from a prepaid reservation and pay to stay at the Hilton Hershey property instead. Which was amazing, by the way! I had a reservation for 6/15, and had called the week before to reconfirm an early check in. After working my 8-9-hour shift, I drove over 7 hours straight to Hershey PA to take my elderly mother to a concert at Hershey Stadium. Once arriving at the Fairfield, Matt brusquely replied that I did not have a reservation. I explained to him that a Marriott Vacation Club Member had gifted me the room and it was registered in my name as well as theirs. He then "found it" and told me there would be no early check in although I had confirmed, and I would have to wait until after 4pm. Mind you it is 11am, and at this point I have been awake well over 24 hours and am feeling faint. He was so nasty, I took a step back to take a calming breath. He was then so rude to the next lady (in front of her children as well) that she exclaimed "is this how you treat Marriott Bonvoy Members? WOW!" I knew I was unable to reason with this individual, and I was too exhausted to escalate the issue. So, I simply left and took my business elsewhere. I called today after some thought on the matter, hoping to give grace, and it was Matt who answered the phone. He was disdainful, snide, would not provide me with the GM's name or email and disconnected the call. I called Marriott Bonvoy myself and got the information I needed. Matt is ABSOLUTELY NOT the person Guests should EVER see and interact with upon entering a Marriott property. A welcoming smile and spirit of kindness is necessary in our industry. Matt has none of these qualities. Like I relayed to Corporate, Matt is most definitely a cause of loss of revenue for this location. On a more positive note, Zira and Melisa at The Hampton Inn Hershey saved the day! Highly recommend!!!
