The location is very nicely lit and the design of it is very easy to navigate and figure out, even if it is your first time here. There is security all around so I felt safe while I was here, waiting for my tour to begin. I will say I do wish there was more seating because as soon as I got up to grab a coffee, people were trying to swoop in and take my spot. I also wish there was heating here, I felt like an ice cube while I was waiting around in the seating area. There is a handful of places to grab some food and drinks and the coffee stands had some reasonably priced coffee that I decided to get while waiting. The flavor was nice and helped keep me warm while I sat and waited! Bathrooms were also very clean but got busy very quick when the station started getting more and more people in as the morning was progressing.

She was short, blonde hair, blue eyes, and looked really distressed so I felt bad. She asked me to buy her food and cigarettes. I said I'd help with food but not cigarettes, but she kept pushing. We went into a shop and something just felt off, but I still felt guilty so I ended up getting her a cheap meal after. Afterwards, security told me she's known for doing this all the time and it's basically a scam. Just putting it out there so people are aware. Better to be safe than sorry.

Even returning to a red sunset and stopping off anywhere for a stroll along the coast(especially between Dun Laoghaire and Booterstown). Keep an eye out for the odd bit of poetry printed around the inside walls of your carriage, and more recently, the occasional massive billboard with prints from Rasher. The DART supports art, apparently. Don't forget though, no matter how much more comfortable it is, ní do chosa suíochán!

Pearse station is probably my main DART station as it is only a short distance from where I live…read moreand somewhat close to where I work. As others have noted, it does have a few key features which differentiate it from other stations such as a roof, making it much more enclosed and somewhat more guarded from the elements, a cafe, restrooms (be warned and use sparingly if possible) and lifts on both sides of the tracks. They also have quite a few automated machines, top-ups and someone selling tickets and answering questions. I am not sure why the picture which looks like a library is included on this review, but hopefully that gets updated at some point. One day I noticed that they have a really grand entrance actually on Pearse street. One day the doors were opened (probably construction crew left it open) and I stumbled in. They should really open this side up as it was an impressive entrance although perhaps more people would just enter from the Westland Row area anyway. It certainly is more convenient for me. Overall, it is my main station I use to get everywhere I need to go on the DART. It is probably better than most stations (hence the 4 star ranking).

Pearse Station (not Pearse Street Station, as it is on Westland Row and not on Pearse st, though…read morePearse St is very close by so it's confusing) is not exactly a marvel of design like St Pancras, but it does have the distinct advantage over a lot of railway stations of having a roof. And it has a cobblers, and the snappily titled coffee shop, "Southbound" or something. And yes, the toilets are quite unpleasant, what with the UV lights to stop junkies shooting up and all, but a set of toilets is more than can said for most Dart stations. Not saying I'm in love with Pearse St or anything, just putting things in perspective.

The train operator for the Republic of Ireland with its main hub in Dublin but spokes leading out to much of the Republic. I did not take any of the long distance trains, just commuter hops on the line between Connolly Station and Maynooth (Maigh Nuad in Gaelic). Most of the time, the trains were on time. Smooth running, clean, efficient, with wifi on board. Never completely crowded except the rush hour schedule which is understandable. I did once almost miss a train because it's nearly time to depart but the track is empty. I learned from one of the staff in Connolly Station that the app might indicate one track number (in this case, Track 4) but the displays in the station show a different track number (Track 7). And it's the ones in the station that you should believe. Thankfully, I rushed over to Track 7 and boarded with a minute to spare. [Review 1813 of 2024 - 74 in Republic of Ireland - 22835 overall]

It was also the 2nd station that I actually used and not simply looked at. You can take a DART from here and go north towards Howth/Malahide or south towards Greystones. There's a parking lot on the premises as well as connecting buses around the corner on the main road. P.S. You can't even top-op your LEAP transit card here ... wtf?!?!? ( -1 )

So much faster than the bus to get to Castleknock (for my AirBNB), this is a pretty standard…read morestation on the Maynooth line that follows the Royal Canal. The station has an above ground passenger footbridge to transfer to the other side. There are ticket vending machines, a turnstile to scan your ticket and some vending machines. I was here the day of a big concert at the nearby Croke Park. Lots of crowds arriving and I do not envy their departure. Mind the gap.

This stations isn't pretty, but it handles its commuter traffic very well. Unfortunately, the station is only a stone's throw from Croke Park and was clearly not built with GAA crowds in mind. Extra trains are added after games, but the station just cannot move such a tremendous number of people. The result is a dangerously dense crowd on the stairwell and the platform, with thousands of people pushing from behind. It is a wonder that the crowd doesn't surge like lemmings into the tracks.

Great and very helpful service provided to my group when we wandered in of the street and requested…read morehelp getting to the Temple Bar Area by the staff of the Dart station. 1-way tickets cost us €2.60 and the staff member actually came out of the ticket office and told us when station platform nos to go to, and then checked we were crossing the bridge to get to the correct platform. Appreciated his solicitousness! The train itself was very quick-got us to Temple Bar within 10 mins and much cheaper than a cab. I'll be using the DART heaps more on my next visit!
