For most of the DART's 25 year history, the Bray station was the end of the line for south-side commuters. This made Bray feel pretty special until Greystones usurped the title a few years ago, much enraging Bray and thus beginning a terrible and bitter battle between the two stations... Nah, that's not true - DART stations are actually incapable of feeling emotions such as rage...
Bray is one heck of a station though. Apart from anything else, it's surely the artiest! It has some eye-catching murals of the station through the years that are currently being beautifully preserved as mosaics. Bray is also one of the few stops along the Rosslare-Europort route so ferry-bound commuters can jump on here and those in need of a quick (almost) non-stop diesel to town can also hop on.
There's a taxi-rank, bus stop and two chippers right outside the door so you're transportation and dining needs are catered for. Ok, in fairness Bray is not the most aesthetically pleasing DART station on the line (damn you, Greystones) and the staff have been known to prioritise chatting and tea over customer inquiries but it's still great! read more
