My wife and I are what people would call "old folks" ( With a few health problems.) We needed a new…read moremattress to meet our current needs and decided to give The Brick a try. The other companies were smooth talkers but it was The Brick that really came through for us. We saw their "comfort guarantee " on TV and they were true to their word. We exchanged our first mattress that didn't meet our needs for one that worked for us, and they even up-graded us to the new model at no extra charge. Good folks! Fair prices (if not better better than fair), great service and a very competent and friendly delivery crew. If you need a little extra help and are in the Richmond store, ask for one of the managers, Ram. A good guy who knows his products.

"FAKE Invoice" & "FAKE Tent Sale" Concerns -- The "Greatest FAKE Brick"(Richmond, BC)…read more I'm sharing a friend's experience so other customers can be cautious. During a recent purchase, my friend learned that the extended warranty is optional, yet the sales consultant (Alia) presented it as though it were required and "FREE". In negotiations, my friend felt pressured to add the warranty with a promise it would be "cashed back" after three years. This felt misleading and not transparent. Invoice accuracy: the delivery fee appeared as $89 when the correct amount should have been $44.50. Careful review caught the discrepancy and prevented overpayment. Other concerns: my friend was told to cancel a so-called "fake invoice" (an unusual term we haven't encountered elsewhere) and was urged to leave a 10% hold-back/deposit. There was also a "FAKE tent sale" promotion that, in my friend's view, didn't align with the pricing discussed. Tips for customers: ***Be cautious of sales tricks designed to pressure you -- remember, the money is in your control ***The warranty is optional not "FREE". If you consider it, get all promises (e.g., "cash back in 3 years") in writing. ***Verify every line of the invoice (prices, fees, delivery) before paying. ***Avoid any deposit/10%hold-back until the invoice exactly matches the agreed terms. ***If unusual terms like "fake invoice" are mentioned, ask for a written explanation and keep copies of all documents. Overall: Shop at "The FAKE Brick (Richmond, BC)" carefully, take your time go to other Furniture Stores and be alert if they put pressure into extras. Always double-check the paperwork before you leave.

I first started shopping at Utsuwa-No-Yakata when they had a store in Kent, WA. When that closed,…read moreI was in such dismay missing the quality Japanese-ware at very reasonable costs. I was very delighted when I discovered the shop at Aberdeen Centre, with the same spread and even some high end items in the back. Awesome! I have quite a collection from this store. Mostly bowls of all sorts, different diameters, depths, and slope of walls that I use for salads, ramen, pasta, and serving bowls. I also have (too many) of their boxed small condiment bowls that I use for the dining table and for soaps and trinkets. They are so pretty with high quality glazes. I have an affinity for girly colors, which unfortunately, that selection is limited. The normal colors are blue with whites and dark shades, according to the sales lady. If they have a wider color palate, this would be a 5 stars experience for sure. They do have a couple that have pink cherry blossoms and/or bunnies. There's nothing like eating your meal from dishes that make you smile. I highly recommend this store. :) Check out the pieces in the back wall behind glass. They are for sale with prices to match the behind glass status. An exception is a few piggy-banks that are not piggy shape. Those would make nice gifts.
