I contacted Burrard Vacuum last week to inquire about Dyson V15 Detect Absolute vacuums. My sister recently bought one and loves hers. Amin suggested I buy a refurbished unit. Amazing customer service! I was looking for a Sebo vacuum and inquired at Burrard Vacuums because of the good reviews. It wasn't in stock so they had to order it and the delivery was later than the tracking info stated so Amin offered me a loaner! Over the past 22 years, I have purchased my vacuum cleaners and had all maintenance and repairs done at Burrard Vacuums. Recently my daughter used our almost brand new vacuum cleaner as a carpet shampooer and burned out the motor. The owner was very sympathetic and sold me a new one for what I believe was substantially less than I would have normally been charged. The hose for our current vacuum failed just one week after the warranty expiration date but Amin called miele for us and managed to get us a free replacement nonetheless! This saved us over $200. How surprised I was when I've been asked to pay $10... I thought he is joking, but he wasnt at all. So I asked him how is it possible that store on Kingsway can provide exact the same wire just in a different color for over 50% less... I ended up here because the accessories door had fallen off my Miele vacuum and I needed more bags. It turned out I was missing a spring in the mechanism that keeps the door shut. Riki looked through all her supplies and couldn't find one. So in order to save me from having to buy the whole housing (and waiting two days for the technician to come in) she crafted one herself. This place has superb customer service that is almost impossible to find these days with all the big box shopping. I dropped by on two occasions and two different women helped me with my choice of the Miele vacuum - they both were patient and very knowledgeable. When I made my decision and mentioned that I was going to walk home (15 minutes), carrying my new vacuum, the owner insisted on walking with me and carrying it. He even carried it up three flights of stairs - talk about door to door service. It was a beautiful Vancouver sunny day and we had a very pleasant chat on the way. I am so happy with my purchase. I brought in my Miele vacuum to get it fixed. I was very concerned it may be a long and expensive fix, however the fantastic team at Burrard Vacuums fixed it on the spot immediately! Not only that, but they carefully explained what had occurred with my vacuum and how I can avoid the problem from happening again. And to top it all off, they didn't charge me for the service! Amin, owner of BVA, is an amazing man of high morals, knowledge, integrity, kindness, and performs high level of excellency in terms of tailoring to clients needs and price ranges as well as having an excellent reputation of making sure the clients are pleased with their purchases; he and his beautiful inside and out staff, namely Riki (Manager) and Ruzan (Assistant) willingly go beyond call of duty in terms of explaining in detail the pros of con of the different vacuums and appliances in tailoring the purchase to what each individual needs, keeping in mind price and workload requirements; the high end vacuums and appliances they carry (as well as some vacuums and appliances for the more price sensitive clients) giving considerable effort and time in explaining the details as well as sometimes helping to put together, install (some central vacs?), delivering (if needed), and putting together the items some persons may have difficulty with. Also, they kindly charge minimal labour cost for maintaing satisfied clients who return to have their vacuum maintained/repaired due to lack of time, improper use or lack of knowledge/time to properly regularly clean/maintain the high end products, as part of their team service and commitment to their clients. Extremely kind, considerate, hardworking, competent and caring staff and owner (friends to me too), Amin being a man of highest calibre, gentleman of high intelligence and wisdom and kindness is doing all he and his staff can to ensure all clients are satisfied with the high end (and some moderate end) products and the auxiliary accessories carried for all his products such that clients can also choose to attempt repair, if they so choose to. The more difficult repairs are sent to the head office of the respective products to make sure of the highest level of care for clients, while more manageable smaller repairs may be done at the owner's discretion for minimal labour cost at the store he deems it to be safe to do. In fact he and his staff and store have the highest rating given by BBB (A+++) for over more than a decade now with no complaints. I am a family friend and was guided in purchasing a very nice Dyson re-chargable cordless vacuum (at an incredible price, lower than any other retail or commercial store) that has made cleaning my apartment so much more pleasant, efficient and with ease of effort, specially reaching hard to reach places like under beds and other furniture items. Kudos to Amin, Riki and Ruzan for all the hard work they do daily, to make their store an amazingly organized, clean, pleasant on the eyes and friendly environment (feels like you are with family store, i assure you you will see when you visit there, even just to say a friendly hello) to be in and to shop in. In fact, top executives at Miele visited his store a little while ago, which is a trademark of how good a man and owner he is and how much he is committed to excellence of service, and kindness in presenting and operating an A+++ family-run store. The power-brush on my miele solaris electro plus, 13 yrs old, suddenly stopped working. Drove by Burrard Vac and Appl and met Amin. He was exceptional in his advise, and purchased a new one. That was just the beginning, as I discovered a loose resistor post on the small electronic board inside and after a quick solder, bingo I had two well functioning power heads. Thinking of another used miele for the upstairs, contacted Amin who had a used one with hose, wand, etc in good order and went ahead. The wand however appeared defective which Amin kindly replaced with a near new one without hesitation. A later hick up in functioning was quickly examined a month later and found caused by a blockage in the hose from suctioning a large piece of wood and was again impressed how Amin's service stood out from other experiences with retail follow up. In short very satisfied with his customer service and highly recommend Burrard Vac and Appl to anyone considering the purchase of an exceptional product. read more
