The other companies were smooth talkers but it was The Brick that really came through for us. We saw their "comfort guarantee " on TV and they were true to their word. We exchanged our first mattress that didn't meet our needs for one that worked for us, and they even up-graded us to the new model at no extra charge. Good folks! Fair prices (if not better better than fair), great service and a very competent and friendly delivery crew. Spent $6800.00 on new bed, side tables, mattress, pillow, and coffee table Sales people over sell products or lack of knowledge. Takes too long to resolve issues. Limited time frame (7 days) to return items over sold. The bed I looked at in the showroom had only one wooden centre support. Next to it was a metal centre support that was extra. When the bed came it had four wooden centre supports, and the metal one purchased recommended by the sales person was not needed. Apparently you have 7 days to return items, in small print. I am now stuck with a metal centre support costing $ 109.00. Question the sales people thoroughly, too much fine print. Sold me the wrong size Cosmos pillow. a 3 instead of a 2. The Brick does not sell the correct size for me. The sales person still sold me a size 3 for a large person. When I received the pillow it states on the box the right size pillow for the person. Which in my case is a 2. A lack of sales knowledge. Bed foot damaged. Complained, will get back to you in three days, fill out a warranty form. New bed delivered in pieces. I had to fix the foot problem myself before assembling. White dent in a grey coloured coffee table Table care kit had the wrong colour touch up. Had to spend $22.00 for a touch up kit from Home Depot. Same follow up, wait three days and fill out a warranty form. I bought 2 bed side tables They come in Ikea format. I am familiar with Ikea. Still took me two hours to assemble one. I was expecting them to come as one piece. Lack of sales knowledge again. After sales service and a lack of sales knowledge stinks. We purchased a washer and dryer several years ago but paid for extended warranty but now after only 4 years the dryer needs repair! They sent a repair person to the house and they said they needed parts and left! We have emailed and 3 times visited the store and was assured they would contact their repair guy and still we haven't heard from the repair persons nor the store with a date of when they expect the parts and when the repair will happen! I went to purchase an LG Oled 65 inch tv from this store and spoke with both a sales person and his manager about it. In answer to my question, I was assured that I did not need to purchase a stand as it was included. In fact, I asked that twice, even showing a picture of what I had now and why I needed to be able to put it on a stand. The tv was delivered and when The Geek Squad finally arrived to set everything up, they advised me that a stand for that model is sold separately. This came as a surprise when I advised the people at the Brick of this, but a gentleman named Amit assured me they would order one from LG right away. Over the next three weeks or so it still hadn't arrived. I had spoken with Amit once, who was going to confirm it was ordered and I left messages for him on two occasions that were not returned. I finally went back to the store and ended up speaking with a person named Lisa who said she had spoken with LG that morning (quite a coincidence!) and was told they would not have any stands available until December. No explanation was given why it took three weeks and my appearing in person to be given that news.. Lisa said to order a generic stand from Amazon and let her know when the tv was finally set up, maybe they could do something for me in compensation. After another two weeks and another visit from The Geek Squad, I did go back to advise Lisa everything was now completed but she wasn't there. My customer service experience with the Brick started off well - they offered me the sale price on the item (ahead of actual rent sale start date) and gave me the discounted delivery fee ($50 vs $100). But that's when all the issues began. Despite correcting the sales rep multiple times on the spelling of my name and contact info, it was transcribed incorrectly into their system. I only learned of this when they failed to deliver during the 3 hr window I was given to be home; they said they couldn't reach me (phone no. on file was incorrect, but they didn't try the buzzer no. provided nor follow up by email which is how I was alerted to my time slot). The Brick staff I spoke to did not offer anything for the inconvenience and poor customer service experience. The email I sent to the address listed on the business card went unanswered. Finally after much back and forth, I decided to reschedule the delivery when they agreed to waive the delivery fee. The experience was poor to say the least; you are assigned a time slot and are only made aware of what it is the day before, making it impossible to work around any kind of work schedules; they did not offer to put on shoe covers when coming into my home; and they scraped the paint in my hallway as they were turning the corner (and didn't acknowledge or apologize). I recently purchased a sectional with an ottoman. The ottoman came cracked and broken. I was contacted by customer service via email for a review. I gave them a poor review and stated why. I heard back from customer service, again via email and was asked for a review of their customer service. Again, I gave a poor review as I have not yet heard from anyone about replacing the broken ottoman I received from them. Judging from the reviews I've read, I doubt that my comments will do anything to improve the service at this store. We purchased an Ingrid Washer and Dryer on Oct. 10, 2020. Today is Dec. 30, 2020 and the items still haven't been delivered. Upon opening the comments for this review the overused excuse for Covid 19 being the problem did not make me feel any more empathetic to their cause. I question whether The Bricks problem with suppliers is due to the same lengthy delays they suffer awaiting payment as the customers do waiting for proper service. About 4 years ago I purchased a sectional leather sofa and a 5 year warranty from the brick. Recently, the sofa started to peal. I notified "The Brick", and after sending an inspector, they refused my warranty, claiming the damage to be "Normal wear and tear" I informed them that the warranty states that it covers "Surface failure from cracking, peeling, failed stitching or seam separation". Than, "The Brick" came up with another reason to refuse warranty - they claimed that I failed to report the damage in time. I sent them a detailed email proving that I reported within the required time frames(14 days). Also, the warranty states that it demands to report within that time frame only if the damage is accidental, which does not apply in my case. "The Brick" sent me a final letter, stating they deny me of warranty due to "Normal wear and tear" and "Failure to report" I feel that "The Brick" is being dishonest and manipulative, and i wish that the store would take responsibility for what happened, and stand behind the warranty it sold me. read more

I recently went to this location to look at a few Items I was interested in purchasing. Service was mediocre but we needed the items so we purchased anyways. I was on the fence about adding an additional piece and was told the sale would continue until a specific date so I had time to think it over and come back. One day before the sale ended I called in to place the order and was quoted a higher price and even after speaking to the manager, they would not honour the sale. Well, IDK if my review should be about the Brick in general or this particular location. This was the first furniture store that I walked into and was NOT hounded by furniture salesmen. It was like pulling teeth trying to get someone to help us. Then, when I get the furniture dropped off there is a problem with the dust cover on the chaise, so they bring over delivery #2 and guess what SAME PROBLEM. So delivery #3 came today along with a dresser and you will never believe, the dresser has a dent, right in the front! And it stinks!! Stunk up my whole bedroom. I refuse to deal with them anymore and have handed this issue over to my bf because I have been way too nice. Delivery #4 will be happening on Tuesday they are going to come and pick up the dresser. I do not want anything more to do with them. The complete lack of respect they have shown for my time is enough not to make me deal wiht them ever again. Waited all day for delivery #4 until 3:30 then called their customer service line. I was politely informed that there was no delivery scheduled for today. Huh? But I got her name, it was Susan. We will never purchase anything from the brick again! We moved into a new house in the spring and a new whirlpool range was purchased from the Brick. We had issues with it right from the beginning and we contacted them and they sent out a repair man. He assured us that it worked fine. We continued to have issues and we called the brick again. They told us that we had to go through whirlpool, which we did. They sent a repair man out again and determined that it had a mother board issue and they ordered the required part. We waited almost 2 months, still no part. We called back and found that they had closed our file. We called the brick back and asked to return the stove and we would even purchase a more expensive stove but they refused. They made some calls and assured us that the part was reordered. That was 2 months ago and it is apparently "back ordered". We call and they tell us that they need to speak to a supervisor and that they will get back to us, which they never do. We are so frustrated at this point. Christmas is coming and we don't have a working stove. So now we are faced with having to purchase a whole new stove! This is unacceptable from a company the size of the brick. To do this to people with no remorse is shameful in my opinion. Hey guys, never buy anything from The Brick...I raised an insurance claim related to an accidental damage on my dinning table, and they told me that they have declined my claim because there were multiple damages on the table. It took almost 2 months to an inspector to get to my place and check the table after my claim, in the meantime what they were expecting ?!?!? keeping my table on a vault to avoid usage ?!?!? The person that spoke to me was extremely rude saying that it doesn't cover multiple damages and I should understand that. I just wanna 1 damage fixed, which was raised before the other damages happened. The insurance they sell is a lie, because in case you wanna use it they will promptly deny your claim. I bought a dryer on July 20 from The Brick in Richmond, BC. Mikail was a good salesman and he talked me easily into buying. To my dismay, I checked that the price at Home Depot for exactly the same brand and model was lower and with free shipping and installation up to July 28. Lesson learned: do your research first before going to the Brick. Anyways, my problem is the delivery and installation, which I paid for because it was not free at the Brick. First off, the delivery guys were not wearing masks and protective plastic shoe covers. Then, they didn't install the dryer vent properly. They left it twisted and dented because it was too long. It surely is a fire hazard. So I called the salesman that dealt with me and I was told it's out of his hands because he's in sales. Of course, he doesn't care anymore. I was referred to their office which told me that deliveries and installation are handled by a different company so they cannot do anything about it and that i can fix it myself. What??? That's "customer service" for you. They cannot even coordinate with their delivery/installation service to address my concern? I was so pissed. Last month we bought couple of furniture from "The Brick". One of them needed to be picked up a few days later. So I borrowed a truck, brought it home, opened the box and found it's a black chest instead of the white one we ordered. I called them up and the customer service was quite impatient and questioned me to prove it. Fortunately I took picture on the one I ordered, and I had to email them the pictures of all faces of the box as well as the black chest. Had a horrible experience at The Brick in Richmond today, if I could give ZERO Stars I would, as 1 is even too high of a rating. As this was the worst level of Customer Service experience. Bought a new Furniture item, and was told that once the item was picked up, as per company policy we will only have 48 hours to return/exchange the item. I advised the Sales Person, that this item is for a new place that we move into on April 3rd, therefore we were not planning on opening these packages until then. Sales Person advised, that OK, let me check with the Manager if we can make any exceptions. Came back and advised that the Manager is OK to start the 48 hours as of April 4th. We agreed on that, and I then asked if they could please put that in writing in the Special Notes on the Invoice. To which I was advised they could not as then Head Office would question them on it and they did not want that. I said I would still like that agreement in writing. Then finally, not on the actual official invoice but on a photo copy of it they hand wrote "April 4th to April 6th" for customer opening packaging. I asked if the Manager can at least sign it and can I please also get his Full Name & Business Card to staple with the Invoice, so we don't have any issues if there is any damage to the product. The Sales Person was very uncomfortable in giving the Manager's Name and unwilling to provide his Business Card. Then the Sales Person proceeded and ripped up the Photo Copy of the Invoice that they Manager had signed (which I grabbed from the Trash before leaving as I advised I am keeping that to address issue with Head Office), which had the date notation hand written on it. I then asked to talk to the Manager. The Manager finally very reluctantly came out and was extremely arrogant in his mannerism, with zero customer service in mind. Stated that he was giving the exception as only a verbal agreement refused to have it put in writing, and further refused to tell me his name or provide his business card. When I was leaving, the Manager states very arrogantly, rudely and unprofessionally that don't forget your 48 hours starts on Wednesday when you pick-up your furniture, as he was now revoking the verbal agreement. This Manager instead of trying too work something out for the Customer, he was doing the opposite by instigating and provoking the matter to make the situation worse. Come April, once moved into our new Home, we were planning on buying a number of new additional furniture items from The Brick, however, not doing that now. We purchased a patio set here that was on sale. However once we got home with it, we realized it was the wrong set! We brought it back and were told that the set we wanted was tagged incorrectly and if we wanted the set we initially thought we were getting we'd have to pay $150 more! I was so disappointed and upset. The salesman was polite and patient in listening to me complain about the situation but he said he couldn't do anything because the set we wanted is actually $250 more but was tagged incorrectly in the store.. I wanted the store to honor the price that they were advertising and give me the correct set for what I had already paid. After a night of being frustrated with the situation, we returned the next day and spoke with the sales manager. After I explained that I felt this was a company mistake and that we should get what we paid for - the manager said yes (he was also very nice during our conversation and understood where we were coming from). They did an even exchange and I got the set I wanted for the incorrectly advertised price. I bought 3 appliances about 2 weeks ago from "The Brick" in Richmond. The big dishwasher which occupied my kitchen half-space is right here sitting in the middle. I have to cook every day during the pandemic. Very disappointed and annoying!! The delivery and installation are not on the same day! What da hell! No one tells me that kind of stupid thing! The salesperson didn't care and told me to make an appointment myself at the service department because it's none of his business to do things in a different department. Now I have to wait for a whole week for the installed dishwasher! The service staff is only for appointments and nothing can help! Also, he told me one of the appliances will arrive next year in middle January and the other one will be at the end of February! What! The support springs in it broke and punctured the bottom felt. We reported it and they had to send an insurance adjuster to inspect it. That was 3 weeks after we initially called. After he checked it out and approved the repair we still waited another 3 weeks to actually have someone pick it up to get repaired!!!???!!! The day of the pickup; the truck didn't even arrive! I purchased a marble table at the Brick. We paid for the delivery. When the first table arrived, there was a 3ft crack on the table. We contacted them and scheduled another delivery for exchange. When the second table arrived, the driver accidentally dropped the table and damaged it. For the third and forth delivery, both tables arrived with cracks on them. For the fifth table, there were holes on the table filled with filler. When we contacted them for exchange, they said there is a 5 time delivery limit. Since we reach the limit, no refund or exchange or anything can be done. It is a total waste of money and time. Can you imagine that I have to wait at home 5 times for delivery of damaged tables? They wouldn't budge on the price and the salesperson brought us to speak to one of the managers, Philip N. He told us we couldn't get any discount unless we bought their 5 year extended warranty for $270. We weren't going to accept the offer until he assured us that the warranty was refundable for store credit if no claim was made during the 5 year period. We accepted and bought the warranty. After 5 years we went back to claim our store credit, and low and behold they denied ever having such a policy and said it only ever applied to electronics and appliances. The claimed the policy was only extended to furniture in the past year. No acknowledgement that what this all means is the manager lied to us to make a sale. No resolution of any kind was offered. I tried contacting customer support from the main website and it just routed me to the same people in the store, who then proceeded to try and explain I had a warranty claim already anyway; they were referring to the fact that the delivery drivers used an impact gun to screw in the legs and damaged them. How is a delivery damage claim related to my extended warranty? These people are liars and have no problem stealing from you. Shop elsewhere. read more

We dealt with George and we are glad that we went to see him. He approached us in a very polite way and he offered to help us. He introduced us to some Abbyson's sofa and we liked it very much!! His took the time to understand what we need and offered the right product. We were also impressed by how much he knows about fabric and leather material, what's good and what's not good, and how to take better care of them so the product can last longer. He also explained thoroughly about their warranty, what's covered, what's not covered and he gave us real examples as well so we understood fully and we are really confident about our purchase. My Landlord bought a dishwasher from this location. Installation was scheduled for today but no one showed up. They obviously use a third party to do the installation. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Installation phone number now goes to a full messge box. Been waiting around all day and no reply from the Brick. I called the Richmond location directly. I explain the situation and they said they would look into it and call me back. 30 minutes later, I call them. They put me on hold and then the call is cut off. I call back the Richmond store and now get an automated message that says the store is closed. I call two more times and the same store is closed message. So I drive down to the store right away and obviously the store is open. Speak to the customer care person that I spoketo on the phone. She tried her best buts installation was closed. No one could be reached. Dishwasher has been sitting in my place for over 2 weeks waiting for installation. Installation was supposed to be between 10 am and 1 pm today. Then I finally got a call at 3 pm by the technician saying the it was scheduled after 3 pm and that he'd be at my place by 7 pm. So obiviously someone is lying or plain got it wrong. Technician called again and said he's stuck at another job. Now it's almsot 10 pm and no sign of the technician. I will NEVER buy from the Brick again and I will tell anlyone who cares to listen my experience and tell them to NEVER buy from the Brick. And yet I still have the dishwasher in my living room with no installation. This place is brutal. What a joke. Will my dishwasher ever get installed? They seem to be good at taking your money but there is no follow through or customer service to speak about whatsoever. And now I get a text a few minutes ago from the technician saying he might not be able to come. And now he won't take my calls. So I waited 12 hours today since 10 am to 10 pm with the promise of an installation and then no one shows. I don't know how the people who work at the Brick and Trans Global Service (installation) can sleep at night screwing people over like this. read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THE RICHMOND BRICK !!!! The Richmond Brick is the worst furniture store I have every dealt with. We bought 2 new sofa's within 6 months 2 out of 3 cushions start to sink, they sent out someone to assess the sofa we were told " it was normal wear/tear" no offer to fix the sofa. We were told they would re-assess in June. Their salespeople make all sorts of claims/promises which sound great but sadly we found out they have no intention of honouring. We had a sectional couch delivered on March 26 2019 along with a dining room table and chairs. We are very discontent with their services, In a matter of a months there is already unstitching and pulling in a few areas of the couch. we called immediately to try and get it repaired and replaced, they were suppose to contact us in 7 days after the inspection of the couch; we never received a call. As a matter of fact we had to reach out to them because a month had gone by and no call had been made to us to solve this matter. We are very unsatisfied of how they are dealing with the matter as they delay the repairs the couch is getting worse and there will be more to fix and yet wed have to file another repair inspection only to have us wait for month on end. Recently I went shopping for a queen bed for my twin daughters. I have dealt with Brick in the past with mixed results. This was my final attempt at dealing with this company. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the sales representative Karan Nahal. I must say what an asset he is to the Brick organization and an employee for others to emulate. He took the time to recommend different options within our price range and was never pushy. He definitely won me over and I look forward to dealing with him again! read more

Horrible experience on my last shopping at this branch.they had sent me the wrong and cheaper unit (bedroom set)and after we complain to the manager then he wanted us to pay for delivery to return the items and pay an extra for the units we use to receive in first place.manager was rude and did not wanted to accept their own mistake and clearly could have seen that he got confused about Canada customer protection act.DO NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. read more
