Actually our food was tasted good...we had chow mein, Mongolian beef, mixed veggies, and fried wontons ...only problem was that both of us who ate had our stomach turning all afternoon and night after this meal :$ ...fortunately it didn't pass that but still felt sick from it :/ read more

Forgot to check Yelp before going to this place...however, reviews are correct. The food is not good, although I have had worse. Chicken chow mein was all noodles, about 10 bamboo shoots, and pieces of old leftover dried up chicken. Pork fried rice was good, except for pork, which was old, leftover, and dried up. Even the pre-wrapped fortune cookie was only mediocre! read more

They only get one star because I can't give them zero stars. Absolutely the worst service I have ever received. I walked in with a party of four and host only gave us one menu to share so I had to go get the menu's my self. The host then took our drink order and it took 15 minutes to get our drinks but right as they arrived we walked out. read more

There is a saying the says, 1st time shame on them, 2nd time shame on me, please beware check your take out food before you pay! We had eaten at this place 4 years ago but were disappointed because they had run out of BBQ pork but didn't tell us until after we had placed our order so we had not returned. Due to the Covid 19 our regular Chinese food restaurant was closed so we thought we would give it a try again. Disappointed again as we ordered several items which were semi okay but they failed to put any sauce on the Orange Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Chicken, of course we didn't realize it till we got home. When the girl charged me she told me she had given me some extra sauce for the chicken plates little did I know that the actual plates with the chicken were totally dry. The sauce was only enough to dip a couple of pieces, bottom line they ran out of sauce and instead of being upfront about it they would rather deceive the customer & make money, so sad. Never going back to this place again. read more

Good food, although greasy. Get it go and avoid the crowds. Don't miss the iced oolong tea.

Hard to get anything ordered with a special request (IE: extra spicey) since everything seems to be already made and waiting in the kitchen. The food does have excellent flavor to it, but isn't always served hot. read more

Soooo gross. We came from Los Angeles to visit family and went to eat here. I have seriously NEVER had worse Chinese food in my life. The service was really bad too. It started from when walked in and asked by 3 different people how big our party was. Each time I'd tell one they'd walk away without a word then a new person would come and it just kept repeating itself. The waitress was short tempered and seemed bothered to be working. You couldn't ask questions without pretty much getting an eye roll. Now the food: NASTY!! I love love love chinese food and can eat it 7 days a week. This stuff would make me give it up for life. The noodles had NO flavor except for oil. You can tell that nothing was cooked fresh and that it had been sitting for some time. The bbq pork was a joke. It was like trying to eat pork jerky but even more dry and tasteless. All around bad experience. Will NEVER come back again. read more

I had to put soy sauce on the fried rice....really. The chicken Chop Suey was horribly greasy and tasteless. Have had much better Chinese in Mexicali read more

This chineese restaurant has the worst servers anywhere, rude, lazy, and when something is wrong with the food, they treat customers even worst, it all reflects on managemant. read more

Good food, really bad customer service. Waited 20 minutes before the server came to take the order. Were it not because I was in a party of six, I would've ripped him a new one and walked out. The owner(s)/employees should take note of how good customer service is done....just go to In & Out Burger. Best customer service ever...at least in the Imperial Valley. read more

This is the worst "chinese" retaurant that we have every eaten at..period!!! We ordered a combo of shrimp, fried rice and chow mein. the shrimp and rice were okay but the chow mein consisted of a huge gob of what looked like a red colored spagheti it had no vegetables or meat in it and it tasted terrible. We will never go back again!! BAD...BAD...BAD read more

Food wasn't cooked well. Noodles were hard and rice had no taste. Service was terrible. Our waitress dropped my food off and NEVER came back so another rude waiter refilled my drinks. I had no drink for 15 minutes until someone came over. My boyfriend said thank you and the waiter walked away without even saying anything back or even nodding his head. I had to get up for to-go boxes, bag, and pay the bill. When I told the cashier that my waitress disappeared she said "oh I think she went to lunch" without an apology. Never will be back again. read more

I still think the food is the best "Chinese" you'll find in the Valley, but my family ate there again the other day and had crappy iced tea and crappier service. In fact, our server decided to eat lunch with her friend in the booth behind us, and we actually heard another server asking her if we were okay, because he noticed that we got left hanging. Our glasses were empty, and we never got our check. Good thing for them we're honest people. Do yourself a favor and use the call-in/pick-up option if you have to have Chinese tonight. read more

Cold food, horrible service waiters simply kept walking by never refilling drinks. Hair in rice. And mediocre food all the way around.

I would rate this place better if the 2 girls at the register werent so dumb. My sister and I came in to place a to go order. I asked if they had mock chicken or duck and they both just stood there staring at me confused and then one of them says "uh...no" and gives me a -why in the world would we have that- look. Then I asked them what was in a certain tofu dish. The girl thought I asked what tofu was....she didnt even know. She told me she thought it was a type of bread. Wow. They both kept speaking to us in spanish even though we were asking everything in english. They didnt know what was in any of the dishes. They are basically just there to ring you up. And they even had problems doing that. When our food was ready they let it just sit there until we asked if that was our order sitting at the counter. The food was okay. We ordered the family meal #1, egg flower soup, and potstickers. It was enough to feed 6 of us with plenty of left overs. read more

Fresh food! Rice doesn't taste like it's been under a heat lamp all day. Orange chicken is great. This place has been packed every time I've come and still the service is quick and available. Fortune Garden is my new favorite Chinese restaurant in the Valley. read more

This was one of the most awful dining experiences I've had in a long time. I should have left as soon as I noticed how filthy the floor under my table was. The waitress was not fazed by the filth. They served my soup two minutes before my meal, so the food sat there getting cold. Then the busboy (or bus-man) started cleaning up the table behind me and was engaged in a conversation with a waiter using all kind of Spanish cuss words. I turned around and asked him to please stop. Then I asked for a knife because my broccoli was huge, and the waitress took 5-10 minutes bringing me a knife. By the time she got to me, I mentioned that it didn't matter anymore because my food was cold already. She offered to heat it up for me. . . me thinks not!! (Oh, did I mention the wailing children all over the place. . . or was it just one?) read more

oh-hell-to-da-naw!!! i've never had such bad food in my life! they gave me lots of food, but i didn't eat any of it. never going back. i'm leery of chinese food in the ie read more

The worst service from the owner himself. I didn't realize he was the owner until the waitress apologized for his rudeness. Who in the heck does that? Will never go back!!!! read more

Pretty good food, I would have gave it more stars but the portions have shrunk like mad over the last year. Awesome special eggfoo young and great fish! read more

Food was great! But the customer service from our waiter and cashier on the other hand was quite horrible!! Our waiter only took our order and never came around. I wanted to ask for another item so I had to ask the waiter attending the next table- and HE was very helpful. At the end of our meal our waiter came to a table next to ours, which was a bigger party, and at that point my husband asked him for a refill on his tea and the tab. He never came back!! My husband had to go to the cashier to pay and he asked her for a tea to go since our waiter never brought it or hardly came around. She very rudely asked if he wanted to add another tea to his order. My husband told her to just forget it. Like I said- food was great- but the customer service from specific employees needs to be addressed. read more

For El Centro Chinese food, the selection is good and the food is actually yummy. So, grading on an Imperial Valley curve, they get 5 stars for their dishes. However, their service blows. So they get 1 star for that. You have to wave the wait staff down for a refill, napkins, and even your check (and their not exactly understaffed, its more like the waiters just kind of wander around aimlessly). I would recommend them to a friend based on the menu, but definetly warn them ahead of time not to expect any kind of mediocre customer service. read more

This is the best Chinese food you will ever taste this is a very quick and clean restaurant. I recommend this for people that don't even like Chinese food. read more

Tried this place last night and was very disappointed. We ordered take out and the service was quick and the prices OK. But the food - yuck. Pork fried rice with chunks of tough grizzly pork and little else. Cashew chicken. - bland, too much tasteless sauce and mostly celery. read more

The food is fantastic, the decorations is very oriental chinese inspired.. the place is quite small but it seems they is a construction to make it a little big.. the first time I went we waited for alsmot 15 mins.. and it is always full, because the food is wonderful.. read more

I love Chinese food, they have excellent service, affordable prices, a very nice place to go with friends or family, highly recommended.

i loved the Chinese food at this restaurant's sometimes the service is not too good, the employees net to put more attention on the orders, but still liked it, maybe need more training how to be more attentive to customers. read more

Cheap prices for CHEAP FOOD!!!! This place was absolutely disgusting. My boyfriend and I were on our way back to Arizona and were in need of something to eat. We saw a Chilis and an Olive Garden, but being the adventurous people we are we thought we'd try something new. Boy, was that a mistake. First off, I had to use the restroom since we had been in the car for a while so we asked for two glasses of water and then I immediately walked to the bathroom. Terrible! The bathroom was gross and the stall didn't lock. I would've been better off stopping a few miles back at a rest area, or better yet off to the side of the road. Anyway, when I arrived back at my table I found to my surprise that we had been given Iced Tea instead of water.. At this point we should have just walked out, but instead decided to give the food a shot. Wrong choice again. We ordered sesame chicken, orange chicken and steamed rice. About 5 minutes after placing our order our food arrived. Rather fast for a place that I'm assuming is made to order. Upon arrival I grabbed a small piece of orange chicken to try. I had a hard time swallowing it was so gross. The sauce tasted like something you'd get out of a jar from a supermarket and the chicken was as if it had been cooked weeks ago and then warmed to serve. That was my first and last bite of the chicken. We then asked to get our check. To touch on service, it was.. Well.. We didn't have service. We were given dirty menus, brought the wrong drinks, and only spoken to in Spanish (I do not speak any Spanish.). Overall, we should not have had to pay to eat there, instead they should be paying people to eat here. That being said though, you could not pay me enough to eat here again. Nicely put, the only way this place may get better is to lock the doors and burn the building down. read more
