For a local Japanese eatery, it's decent. But the chicken katsu was chewy and rubbery. Like as in overcooked. You guys should either cut at equal lengths or use the tenderizer to even out the size so you guys can cook without the fear of overshoot or undercook. Or use chicken thigh instead of breast, cuz thigh is more difficult to cook too much than the breast. And chicken thigh katsu taste real good. The rice... Was crunchy. At least some parts of it. Which happens when you leave the rice in the rice cooker for long time. But you can avoid the crunchy area when serving it to your customers. The restaurant smelled a tad bit moldy. I am pretty sure it's the AC filter that needs cleaning. A lot of things were easy fix stuff. But there were too many of those. read more

Excellent service, was greet as soon as we walked in. The chef was extremely nice. Fast service and excellent food. I order the beef teriyaki plate, it was the perfect amount of spicy and sweetness. Ordered off the happy hour menu and was overcharged (by $4, not a big deal, but they didn't change the price after I called about it) for the tuna rolls. They weren't anything special. Not good, not bad. Gyoza and the tempura veg were actually good. The spicy garlic edamame was in some goopy sauce that wasn't really spicy or garlicky. Service was really lacking. My first visit and it did not disappoint! I came into town for work and wanted some Asian food and this place had the highest stars out of all the Asian restaurants so I had to try it. I got the Kung Pao shrimp, lightly breaded, fried and served with crunchy cabbage. Great taste, huge portions served with sticky Japanese rice! Huge plus, way better than Chinese rice. The sauce a little different from the traditional brown sauce that comes with Kung Pao, it's the thai sweet chili sauce, but overall really good. This place is SO good! I highly recommend it. I ordered the crunch roll, salmon roll, and seaweed salad. The crunch roll is huge and will leave you stuffed. The salmon roll was my favorite! What I really loved about the seaweed salad is that it had lettuce mixed in, too. It was more fulfilling than I expected and the dressing it comes with is creamy and delicious! Hidden gem! We love this restaurant! Service is always great and if they are busy they give you complimentary gyoza for waiting, which is so good! The portions are huge! We have had sushi rolls, soup, orange chicken, beef and broccoli, edamame, shrimp fried rice. I wouldn't order the beef and broccoli again it was just not as yummy as everything else we have had here. Going to have to go 3 stars on this place. Definitely a little disappointed from the takeout experience. We got 3 items - the teriyaki chicken plate, the spicy chicken plate, and the tuna sushi roll. The teriyaki chicken was fine, but the plate consisted of about 80% rice and the chicken could have used a little more sauce. Tastes like teriyaki chicken I make at home by soaking Kroger chicken thighs in Soyaki marinade for a day. Not bad, but really nothing special and a small amount of food for the price. The spicy chicken was a little better and had some extra sauce on it. Had very little kick, but decent flavor. Same problem as the teriyaki chicken - the portion of chicken was tiny compare to the massive pile of rice. The tuna roll was essentially inedible. Not sure if the seaweed was old or what, but I could not taste the fish at all due to the overwhelming seaweed flavor from the roll. We each ate 1 piece and threw the rest out. Service was lacking. Definitely not the friendliest attitude from the woman handing us our order. When asked if it's okay if we just ate our to-go in the 1/3 full restaurant (rather than eating at our hotel, which was our original plan, but that can be kinda a pain) the server let us know "well if you eat fast I guess you can." Instantly made us feel uncomfortable and we opted to just leave. Also came back after walking out to the car and checking sauces and needed more soy sauce. The same woman was like "you should have told me earlier that you needed more soy sauce." Idk the whole experience of picking up the food combined with the portion to price ratio, I would not come back here. read more

This place used to be a pho restaurant, one of our favorite Asian restaurants in the valley, when we found out that they have closed down and reopened a new restaurant we were very disappointed. Today we decided to give the new restaurant a try and it did not disappoint. The newly renovated restaurant is super cute and homey. We ordered two raw rolls, salmon and red roll. Both of the rolls were extremely delicious. I've been to hundreds of sushi restaurants my whole life and I've never seen a roll that large before. One piece of their sushi is the equivalent of two pieces of sushi at a sushi restaurant. We also got the beef chow Mein. This place is Japanese themed, yet they service Korean, Japanese and Chinese food. Super cute, cheap and clean restaurant.
