The first lady who was taking orders had hard time with English so she had to call someone from inside who took our order. Chicken is definitely unique, very crispy, and tasty (however not that my wife liked). However, boba disappointed us. It had some wrong taste in it for sure and my kid threw up in the restaurant as soon as he drank. However, the staff is nice even though they are short in number. The restaurant is big with many seating and even a small podium for shows or TV needs.

If I lived close, I would need to try all of them... except California because I've had a bunch of those. The only negative I would say is that me and my colleagues plates came out and they were presented really well, unique looking and on fancy plates. But he got an order of gyoza and it was served on a plastic basket. So everything else was all fancy, but the gyoza came out and it wasn't as nice of a presentation. Atmosphere: Its spacious inside, not too crowded and lots of Japanese decorations everywhere. I would have liked if they had cleaned the menus though because they were a little greasy feeling. Price: Not a bad price, middle of the road I would say. Edamame less than 4$ so that was cool. The coke they served was a long, 16.9oz glass bottle, I didn't even know they made those anymore! Service: Our server was nice, no complaints. Although it took a little while to get her attention, but after that it was all good. Overall: Like I said, I would totally come back here to try more rolls. Very cool little place in El Centro. If I come back through to go to Mexicali, I will stop here again.

Highly recommend tasting their tequila and mezcal crafted creations as they are fantastic! Their sushi is scrumptious. I highly recommend this place and def will be returning.

4/5 Asian Gourmet is…read moreone of those casual, cozy spots that's perfect when you're looking for a relaxed lunch. The décor is minimal with just enough Asian touches to give it character. It's a quaint little place that's great for small groups or a quiet meal with someone. We stopped in for the lunch special, which comes with soup, your choice of entrée, and either white or fried rice. I ordered the sesame chicken, while my partner had the beef and broccoli. My sesame chicken was cooked perfectly--tender, flavorful, and not overly crispy or hard like it can sometimes be. It was just right. The only thing that missed the mark for me was the fried rice. The peas and carrots tasted a little cold, which threw off the texture and flavor. Next time I'll probably stick with the white rice like my husband always does. Service was prompt, and we never felt forgotten. A gentleman, who I assume was the owner or manager, stopped by to check on us, and I noticed they greeted customers as they came in, which always leaves a good impression. The atmosphere is quiet, cozy, and comfortable. Even though the restaurant was busy, it wasn't crowded or noisy, making it easy to enjoy a nice lunch and conversation. Overall, it's a solid lunch spot with friendly service and good food. I'd happily come back again. Four stars from me.

We had heard about Golden Dragon but it is a bit of a drive for us. But what the heck. Let's go for a ride give it a try. In 2 separate visits we tried a variety of items. Started with egg rolls, egg drop soup and their simple fried noodles. Egg rolls were crispy and hot seasoned great. The soup served was a nice generous portion. Broth was good. Could have used a bit more seasoning and maybe a sprinkling of green onions. But very good nonetheless. Entrees started with sweet and sour orange chicken. This chicken was breaded perfectly. Nice and lightly crunchy without being hard. The sauce was nice and orangey. Next time will try the spicy version. Chicken chop suey looked very basic but the plate was piled high. Lots of bean sprouts, cauliflower, carrots, that were very fresh and tasty. A little more chicken would have been nice. On a subsequent visit we had the pan fried chicken with the vegetable chop suey. Can't stress enough just how fresh everything was. Huge portions and great taste. Iced teas and adult beverages rounded out our meals. Fat, dumb and happy! Pricing was reasonable. Could have been more generous with the proteins but the portions were huge. Service was good. A bit of a language challenge but we managed to charade our way thru. Spanish language speakers will have no problem. And the place was very neat and clean with well maintained restrooms. Will definitely be back!
