Friendly docents greet visitors in lobby for reasonable admission $12 and below with discounts for seniors, active military, and children, small souvenir shop, and tour assignments for large groups. Ask about solo visits. It's well organized, informative, and a memorable tour for people of all ages. There's a large outdoor working train display of Rosenberg, two train cars available to tour, landscaped outdoor picnic seating, and a multipurpose building with a room to entertain small children and directly across the hall are multiple large indoor railroad displays. Walking is involved both indoor and outdoor, so plan accordingly with comfy shoes, although not overwhelming so, unless walking restrictions involved. Wed - Sun hours. Always check the website or call before visits to be on the safe side.

The ones that were available to view were underwhelming. Here are the main exhibits: - Outdoor Miniature Model Train (Not operating) - A Train Consist (The main attraction. Under Maintenance March 2025 - No Entry) - Luxury Passenger Coach (Not allowed inside - Locked) - Kid Play Area (Some toy broken) - Antiques - Indoor miniature model trains For the price of $22 for my son and I, I didn't find the price worth it. At least parking was free. We spent about 30 minutes here before we felt like we saw everything.

First off, let me begin with Lone Star is still a smoking bar. If this works for you then continue…read morereading. My friend introduced me to Lone Star during one of my Texas trips. I've only been here twice and had a great time. Everyone is super friendly with good food, good service and afforable prices. As you approach Lone Star there's patio seating in front of the restaurant. You'll enter through a large, blue arch doorway with stained glass and 2 large Texas stars on each door panel. Very Texan feeling. The interior decor resembles an old saloon with lots of wood, tall 4-top tables and soft lighting. Unfortunately, the tables are not very conducive for wheelchairs. The bar area is U-shaped with many seats and friendly bartenders. There is a second floor that can be reserved and 2 pool tables for your enjoyment. Moving on to the food. Lone Star has an affordable daily $5 lunch menu Mon. - Fri. 11am - 4:00pm with 6 selections on the lunch menu. All include a side & choice of tea or soda. The $5 selection includes grilled cheese, 1/2 chicken or tuna salad, a hot dog, chicken tender combo, a grilled chicken Santa Fe plate or 5 wings combo w/5 sauces. I selected the 1/2 chicken salad sandwich and house salad. The chicken salad sandwich was served on lightly toasted healthnut bread with crisp lettuce & a sweet tomato. The chicken salad was good and ran on the sweeter side which I don't mind. (FYI, no egg, thank you). The generous portion of salad was excellent with fresh tomatoes, crisp cucumbers and onions with the lettuce chopped on the smaller side which I find much easier to eat. I also ordered a small order of homemade onion rings ($1.99). They were very tasty with the texture of onion strings. I would order all again. For entertainment they have live music on certain nights and a bar version of Bingo on Wednesday nights. I heard the Bingo is tons of fun. Check out their website for details. I'm sure I'll be back during one of my next visits to Rosenberg/Richmond. Hopefully for live music or Bingo night.

Recommend the services of this company, which are truthfully quite unique. I had a Mata Ortiz piece sent to me by GALLERY out of Santa Fe. The piece was damaged And perimeter restored it to next to original condition. Given that it was clay pottery Aubry's insistence on excellence is what restore the peace to the point that if you inspect it currently you would be quite skilled if you could find where the flaws had been that he repaired. Secondly, he seems to have inside and apparently himself collects very nice pieces, and I acquired from him a Gorman, which he then matted and framed and did an incredible job, simply incredible and enhanced the visual presentation of the peace. Lastly, he's in the process of putting back together a Fish kill from the green river, which was literally in hundreds of pieces that is a project in process right now and I'm awaiting the results in any case I would highly highly recommend this GALLERY both for batting and framing perhaps for acquisition of pieces and clearly for repair of pieces to museum quality
