Mr Larry Callie, former roper, country singer, and visionary of the first of its kind Black Cowboy Museum in Rosenberg, TX. Congratulations are in order since he recently broke ground for a future newly constructed nearly $4 million 2 story museum on 1.5 acre development.
It will replace the current 900 sq ft museum, finally, offering each relic its own unique feature space and guests undeniable convenience to explore.
Mr Callies wasn't present during visit. He has written a book- "Here Comes Larry Callies "Stepping Out in Faith" and a coloring book-"The Black Cowboy Museum Coloring Book" museum tshirts were available.
A docent led a brief discussion, then guests perused the room.
Bill Pickett, invented the legendary steer wrestling technique called bulldogging. Nat Love, former slave, cowboy marksman, autobiography, "The Life and Adventures of Nat Love" detailed his story.
I'm looking forward to visiting the
modern new museum which will accommodate larger audiences, showcasing artifacts in a more streamlined format, and preserving the legendary tribute to Black Cowboys who faced intense racial discrimination and were largely omitted from media. read more
