Willie is by far my favorite as I'm an avid opossum lover. Such great animals to have visit your yard at night. I welcome the free pest control from a very misunderstood marsupial. We were able to pet Willie (highlight of my visit even if he "played dead") along with a milk snake and a striped skunk named Ambrosia. The variety of owls here are amazing & beautiful from screech owls to barn to barrel. Before walking the grounds there was a trailer that housed lots of hands on learning (animal pelts, foot prints, scat varieties, skeletons a plenty, taxidermy scene). You can tell that this facility invests in proper care for the Texas wildlife it rehabilitates and houses as well as does an exceptional job educating the public. There was plenty of parking with overflow parking being located in what looks like a shared lot with the church. Definitely look forward to coming again during another one of their events or classes.

I have been blessed to volunteer with CAM for the past 4 years and during that time I have been impressed with the many programs they offer such as a top rated Resale Shop (Angels Attic), the Food Pantry, ESL classes, Employment Assistance, Financial Assistance and much more! Their Food Pantry, where I volunteer most of my time, is amazing and well run with many partnerships with local stores, churches, organizations and the Houston Food Bank. With all of this community support we are able to provide a great selection of items to our clients. In addition we provide groceries monthly to shut in seniors and also partner with the Houston Food Bank to provide additional times during the month where seniors and others can get extra food! Cypress Assistance Ministries is well run by professional staff and volunteers. I am consistently amazed with the kind and caring attitude of everyone I come in contact with there! CAM is a great place to come for assistance when you are in need and an amazing place to be able to serve our community! Thank you, CAM!

She takes her time to answer any questions that you may have and you can tell she pours her whole heart into this nonprofit organization. During the pandemic they don't do as many tours a day, so make sure you book in advance. I came one Sunday morning with my family of 10 and she reserved the whole tour just for us, what a treat! Robin used to be a teacher so she's provided us with very educational information about the animals that live on her ranch. She takes her time and explain and shows us how to care for each animal. You get to be hands on and touch every animal there, which I really enjoyed and appreciate! There were turtles, rabbits, turkeys, ducks, goats, pigs, and the main attraction of course are the llamas and alpacas. This place is really one of a kind and is so special. Freest experience for the whole family that adults and children can enjoy and make some memories. Oh, and did I mention they have 2 Airbnb on their ranch where you can wake up to these animals? (Even from other shelters) Even if you don't find your baby here your better off donating here or volunteering here rather than places that put animals down within 3 days. All of the cats are spayed/neutered and have all of their shots for $95. When I came too visit they had over 200 cats and a few kittens but I came early in the season for kittens.
