The 5 Browns were wonderful and the cameras on the keys added a lot to the show. No adult beverages no bueno, no bar deduct one star.

I am neither a helicopter parent nor a bulldozer parent; however, I am an overprotective parent who…read moretries hard to have trustworthy individuals around my children as best as possible. As an immigrant, none of my family members live in Texas. Daycare has been my point of care for my children, so I can go to work to support them. Little Explorers Infant Academy has been a blessing for me and my family.... Here's what I think: Health and Safety: Ms. Deana and her administrative team have implemented many policies and procedures to ensure that children are safe, secure, and able to learn in a conducive environment. I am happy that I have barely had to stay home due to my children's illness from childcare. If my children pick up a common cold or anything that needs immediate attention, I will not send them to the daycare to ensure I follow the rules to keep other children safe from illnesses. We must do our part as parents. They will return after feeling better or following the protocols in place. Teachers: I can only speak from the experience of the teachers I have had. Ms. Celia is simply outstanding! My son loves her to the moon and back....and he is only 1. He has been with Ms. Celia since he was two months old, and he knows her and positively reacts to her. She is warm and motherly and makes me feel safe with him in her care. My sweet girl has been at Little Explorers since she was five months old; she will be 3 in November. She has had some great teachers, Ms. Dorothy, Ms. Rosie, Alejandra, etc. These are just a few that I can recall at the moment. Class: The small classes make classroom management, teaching, germ control, and learning engagement easier. I have visited a few other daycares that would have been a more leisurely, shorter commute to work, but they do not compare or have the standards set from what I have seen at Little Explorers! So my commute to work is longer, but I know that my children are around people trained and vetted to work in this facility. The administrative team: Ms. Deana, Ms. Stephanie, and Ms. Angie are a terrific trio of women who try their best to ensure that the kids have a holistic experience in their growth and development. I do apologize for the epistle. It has been in my spirit to do this review for the longest.

She is learning so many words and numbers and she even has already learned how to color inside the lines. Very nice facility, great location, and I feel very safe taking my daughter here. The teachers regularly keep me updated on what she's doing and learning through messages and pictures. I was apprehensive about putting my daughter in daycare at first, but I'm actually so happy I did. This is a really good daycare and I highly recommend. Thank you Little Explorers

Unfortunately, certain…read morelifeguards play music over the sound system so loud that I can't hear my children if they are on the other side of the pool. This is a major safety issue. I have shared my feelings with the pool manager and several of the lifeguards. Their response is always the same. Apology followed by a reduction in volume. Then, the lifeguards incrementally raise the volume until it is at it's original level. It's supposed to be a safe swimming pool, not a rock concert. What is with you YMCA. It's time to put the safety of your patrons first. If lifeguards can't do their job without listening to music they should find another job. Turn down the music! Better yet, turn it off. If people want to listen to music they generally bring their own.

I love this Y. I have visited few other Y locations but this one blows my mind of how nice the…read morefacility and childcare facility are. My family and I have been using this location primarily since getting our membership about 6 months ago. We visit the Y 4-7 days a week and our experiences have been overall very good! Facility: The overall facility is really impressive in my opinion. It is shockingly large (but it makes sense because of the population size it serves) the locker rooms are really pretty nice and all the restrooms on site are always spotless and well kept. Areas like the turf/lifting area, cardio area, lobbies, outdoor pool, indoor pool (basically everywhere) really surpassed my expectations as far as quality and upkeep. The facilities are always clean and just look good in general Equipment: The equipment is very diverse and there are PLENTY of machines and equipment. Multiple of everything or at least multiple versions of equipment that target the same muscles or do the same thing. I only occasionally notice a machine not working and it is always working again within a few days. Most people do wipe down the machines after use but I've also noticed staff with wipe down equipment here and there- makes me feel good that the machines are kept sanitized throughout the day :) Classes: There are ALOT of different classes to take at the Y that are included in your membership. Yoga, hot yoga, boot camp classes, Zumba, water exercise, etc., classes are easy to book through the app and are in individual studios in the Y Childcare: I'm a stay at home mom with a 1 (now almost 2) year old. This is the first daycare situation I've ever put my child in. The childcare director (I forget her name, but the older woman who has an office outside of the childcare center) has amazing experience and is so kind and understanding. It was really hard for me to leave my baby the first few times when she was screaming bloody murder at drop off but this woman was very kind and understanding of my feelings while encouraging me to keep at it and assuring me she would adjust within a week or two. I followed her advice and brought my baby every weekday no matter what and she stopped crying at drop off on day 6 :) she now happily runs all the way to childcare and typically walks in happily of her own free will ;) I feel very comfortable with the daycare staff caring for my child, in the evening they are mostly younger girls who are energetic and friendly with the kids. On warm days they typically play on the playground for awhile and my baby always comes out with a drawing to show me and it makes me so happy! Youth sports: While my child is not old enough to be in youth sports yet, the Y does have A LOT OF SPORTS for children; basketball, soccer, volleyball, ninja obstacle course, just to nap a few. I have volunteer coached for two of these sports and my experience with the youth sports director Jesse, has been great! Jesse is fantastic at coordinating these events (practices and games) and seems truly passionate about making the program the best it can be for the kids and the parents. I've had a lot of fun coaching and seeing kids build their confidence through team sports and make friends while playing their sport :) Staff: I haven't had any personal experiences with a personal trainer but I see them with people everyday, they seem very knowledgeable and supportive of their client. The staff at the front desk has been able to assist me with any thing I've needed so far. Childwatch staff is my fav because they make my kid happy :). The staff who monitor each workout area are like flies on the wall, they don't bother anyone but keep the area clean. Lifeguards are on the younger side (especially in the summer) and have all been pretty fun and always polite. Overall the staff at this location get the job done and are very nice. Overall we are in love with this location and while I'm interested in visiting other locations, D Bradley McWilliams is our home! I definitely recommend checking it out and doing a day pass (which includes 2 days) at the very least. The amount we pay for our membership is more than worth it for what we get out of this Y

Unfortunately, my experience with the program director, Shelby, was extremely disappointing. It took her two weeks to call me back after my initial inquiry (she was on vacation), which might have been fine if it hadn't been followed by repeated lapses in communication. She promised to call me back and didn't, and when she canceled my son's first official session just two hours before, she only sent a text and email. She never confirmed I'd seen the message, and by the time I arrived with my kids, it was too late. My son, who struggles with sudden changes, had a meltdown. Backup staff could have easily prevented this. After my friend spoke to a manager, the owner called me the next day and promised Shelby would contact me to reschedule. That call never happened--this was even before we hosted my son's birthday party at K2. To be clear: Bailey, who led our trial session, was amazing. She took time to work with my son at his pace and made him feel comfortable. The birthday party staff were also friendly and helpful, even with a small hiccup of my son's name being spelled wrong on the cake. Bottom line: I'd recommend K2 for parties, but I would not recommend the SOAR Adaptive program. The lack of communication and follow-through from Shelby made it clear to me that this program is not managed in a way that meets the needs of autistic children and their families.
