I was at the cash register ready to buy a used cloth purse. There wasn't a price on it. The cashier was perplexed as to how to sell a purse without a price tag. I explained it was just with the other unpriced purses on the rack - what's the usual price? She said she could do $5.99. I said sure. Then for good measure she asked her manager who was standing next to her what to do with an unpriced purse. The manager said since there are no "pricers" they couldn't sell it to me. Seriously? I'll just let everyone know including your district managers that you don't actually want to sell the items you have out and make store revenue. Ok. Don't go here they suck. read more

Once again good will delivers. I have pulled so many good things from all of their locations. This one I have gotten bikes, NBA rockets collector items, nice bikes etc etc. Today I got some pretty decent Jordan's for 7.99 they are real. You would be surprised how many times you find stuff in great shape that are sometimes new i the box. Here is a tip come to your local good will once a week and I promise you that you will find brand new like good stuff for cheap. I find brand new stuff in the box. Guess what they become. Don't know about all employees at this store but i did see something pretty mess up today . I think some of this Goodwill employees wait until their fav regulars / family members come in to put stuff out because i saw peoples waited at the backdoor for sthg... And i saw a young man pull a very expensive pair Bose speakers out and walk right out the front door with his client . read more

This review is not really for the thrift store, but actually for the drop-off store next to the thrift store at this location. My husband and I frequent this location often. Any time we go on a cleaning or organizing frenzy, our gently-used items end up here. We are meticulous about sorting our clothing donations by gender and size, making sure that all items are clean and folded neatly. Unbelievably, some of our finds even have the tags still on them (silly us for never wearing them). Hubby's a box hoarder, so we always have boxes of appropriate size to load up all of our goodies, too. Nothing stuffed in garbage bags or old shopping bags from us. We only go through these bouts of organizational mania once every other year since we request a receipt from Goodwill and itemize our taxes in even years. I'm fastidious about what goes in those boxes, what they're worth and what we can deduct (I have an accountant-approved spreadsheet that I use to log my donations). I hope Goodwill profits from our donations and someone else enjoys what we can no longer use. Most times when we pull up to this location, we are greeted with a welcome smile, helpful arms and gentle hands. The items we're donating are brought right in and placed in their store with care; a donation receipt is given before we even request one. But there are times, however, when we've come (and often that's been when we've got a really big donation) and we're greeted with a scowl, our donations are taken and the box is literally thrown on the floor -- and I watch everything scatter everywhere. I'll stand at the counter waiting for a receipt and I'll get a quizzical look: "Oh, you want a RECEIPT for all of THAT?" Yes, sir. I do. I'd deduct a star because I was so agitated by my last visit, but I've had so many other good visits that I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. I've always been happy with Goodwill and their mission, but a condescending attitude is not what I expected to receive here. read more

We have visited many Goodwill locations around the city of Houston and surrounding areas and this is by far our favorite. The store is clean, big, organized and offers a good selection of items. My family and I highly prefer to shop at resale shops for a few reasons. They support the local community in several ways, reduce our environmental impact by purchasing used goods and they offer good prices. We try to be as eco-friendly as possible, to the point that we are willing to pay a small premium for a used item if it means not having to create a need for new resources to be used by purchasing new items. We have found great deals on toys, household items, small appliances and clothes as well. If you live in the area, make sure to stop by and check it out. It is always a hit or miss when you visit a resale shop but you never know what you may find! read more

If you aren't looking for something specific, it's almost always fun to go treasure hunting at Goodwill. Almost all deserve five stars just for their purpose and cause. This one is usually five stars. But on my last visit there was a new manager and he was absolutely clueless. While I waited in line to complete my purchase, I watched as he was totally helpless in resolving another customer's issue with getting his credit card to go through, eventually just giving up and letting two cashiers just keep trying things until they got it to work--at least 15 minutes while the line continued to build. Then he got to me. I had several items that were basically identical. I wanted to buy almost all of them. But two were incorrectly marked at more than 5X the price of the others. Being a manager, he should have been able to make the correction, new or not. Again, totally inept. Oh well, bought the treasures priced correctly and left the others behind. Given time maybe the bulb will come on. Who knows? read more

Goodwill wouldn't take our donations because they were "dusty" and it was sprinkling outside at the time. Raymond, at the donation center, said maybe if we wiped it down?!! The clothes were in bags?!? Really? He said the headboard needed wheels. No, not all headboards have wheels. Second time being turned away at a Goodwill with perfectly good items that I'm giving away to a store to sell for profit. Uhm, message received, I'll find somewhere else to donate. Lots of books and movies in plastic bins refused. I don't get it. (I would give zero stars but it wouldn't let me) read more

I wasn't impressed with this goodwill. The prices were a bit up there. What cost $3.99 in Illinois cost $5.99 here. It was super clean. Very neat. Just too pricy for me, being a goodwill. Not a large selection of items. I didn't see any "new" items like some goodwill's have - when a name brand department since as Target. read more

Not great prices for Goodwill. I mean $6.00 for a used t-shirt is pretty ridiculous. The very sweet lady that checked me out agreed.

it was okay, for women clothes the selection was mostly for the older crowd, men had more of a variety. lots of foreign records, books and paintings. great kids aisle. was organized by color, sizing was eh. pretty clean for a goodwill, go on the color days. just didn't like the selection they had because it didn't suit my style. more for older crowd style as women, or a bunch of cultural outfits for women if you're looking for that or if someone's grandma had died then you'll love the clothes. employees also seemed friendly when i went :) read more

I only had about 20 minutes to spare so I stopped by this store. It's a super clean and organized Goodwill. While the sign says it's a Select store, there was no rack or section of selects. Not a great deal of inventory but it was well maintained. The staff was friendly. I found a few bargains but not much, thus the four stars for me. read more

Good prices, good products, good people. I couldn't ask for more from this store. I check in their once and while to see if any rich people had dropped off any clothing I like. So far I have got a few golf shorts and dress shirts, this is awesome to get good cloths and not spend an arm and a leg. read more

I visited this store for the first time yesterday. The employees were welcoming and friendly. The store was organized and neat, but I didn't find that there was a huge selection compared to other Goodwills I've visited (particularly in the CA Bay area). I didn't really find anything worth buying, but so it goes when visiting thrift shops: it's hit-and-miss and every day is different. read more

This is a pretty good Goodwill -- I have found it best for children's clothes, books and toys, less great for women's clothes.

Been a long time Goodwill shopper...mostly Atlanta. Moved here a year ago and have been so disappointed with the stores here. Their prices on the clothing have continued to climb unabated....and they offer no "deal of the week color discount" on clothing?? This store in particular has the most offensive air freshener system. It spits out this horrible smelling stuff that makes it difficult to breathe the air. I can't imagine working there all day. I have been in several times and had a good experience with the personnel. Anyway, bottom line is my opinion has shifted enough that I have searched out new charity thrift stores to treasure hunt in. read more
