    Veggie lasagna: watery, no flavor, tasted frozen from box

    Pros: Didn't have reservation, but got a table easily. Service was decent. Cons: Prices were hefty for what you get. Prosecco was €40, well above what we've paid for the same elsewhere. Veggie lasagna tasted like it was from freezer aisle at grocery store: watery, tasteless. When asked why I only had two bites I said I didn't care for it. The server then took it away & that was that. My opinion is why ask if there was something wrong with the food but then not offer a solution or apologies? There's really no point in acting interested in the customers dining experience, if you don't do anything with that information. The garlic bread was crisp/burnt & not really bread at all as it was just super thin pizza dough you could snap in half. $107 for a pizza, lasagna, prosecco, bottle of still water & garlic bread. Won't return.

    A pleasant surprise from our first night in Dublin! Cozy, great service, and really good food. If you like your pizza crispy, this won't be the place for you. Definitely recommend the mussels and prosciutto pie but you can skip the calamari.

    A lovely place for an Italian meal close to Temple Bar but away from (most of) its craziness. Dame Street is crowded, so the people-watching is good from the tables on the sidewalk. Sitting there for 90 minutes, we observed a loud street preacher telling us the end was near, a rolling rapper performing from the street, a bar fight spilling out onto the sidewalk from the place next door, a panhandler or two, and a lot of diverse Dublin locals and tourists. Our meal started a little weak. After being seated, it took some time before we received any service. And the Maraschino Cherry Old Fashioned, a special on their cocktail menu, was awful. But, everything picked up after that, and we had a very nice and delicious experience. My wife's pizza was delicious (with plenty to take home for the next day) and I found my pasta all'amatriciana a bit mild than others I've had, but was very fresh, flavorful and plentiful. The pasta was perfectly 'al dente'. After the slow start, our server was very attentive and quite friendly. We'd definitely revisit Forno 500 while in Dublin.

    What a great find we happened to walk by. After ten days in Ireland and plenty of chips, we found we were craving some pizza. They have one of the only authentic Italian built pizza ovens in Dublin, and it definitely made a difference in pizza quality. They also had a three course dinner special for $24 euro that can't be beat. Service was great and the seating small and intimate. Nice wine and beer selection too.

    Yummy Italian food! A tad pricey! I enjoyed pasta and so did my boyfriend! The pizza was also good, along with th calamari!

So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. Things I liked about Sprezzatura: - whatever you're in the mood for (marinara, carbonara, bolognese...), it's probably on the menu that night - the sauces are rich/heavy. I like, but maybe not everyone will. - generous portions - super friendly service Things I wasn't crazy about: - the finish on the table left a stickiness that was annoying as we sat through our meal - the kitchen door kept slamming shut (loudly) with every staff pass-through and needs some sort of better hinge or soft close mechanism - each pasta dish was a bit overrun with sauce. I might have soaked it up with some bread, but the amount was unnecessary for the pasta alone. We ordered three pastas dishes. I actually liked the one I didn't order the most - an amatriciana-like red sauce with a little spice. My wife enjoyed the Fettucini, Nduja and Mascarpone. The Mafaldine Cashel Blue (cheese) and Roasted Walnuts, which also had caramelized onions in it, was actually not as sweet as I expected (or wanted) it to be. What we did agree on, though, was how delicious the arancini was (we went with spicy sausage). I would lead with that...but don't get carried away. The wine choices were limited, but solid. And the price was very reasonable. I'd go back again (if I actually lived in Ireland!), mostly when I have a fix for a certain flavor. There was a lot of delivery business taking place during our visit. I suspect these sauces don't travel well (no firsthand experience with that), so dine in seems like the better call to me.
