Definitely big enough to share with 3-4 people. However, it might just be me, but I thought it could've been cooked a bit longer. The top was nice and crunchy, but the bottom was a bit underdone and floppy. Atmosphere: the outdoor patio is fun! They play good music through the speakers, and there is plenty of seating-unless it rains. Then there are only a few tables under tents. Indoor seating is nice too...typical beer esthetic. Something to note: If no parking is available at the front of the business you have to head to the back. I really want to love Formula Brewing, but there are a few things that prevent me from doing so. First the good: they have a wide selection of beers and a great outdoor area to enjoy. It's really hard to find a great brewery in the area so Formula fills a need for sure. For this I give them five stars without a doubt. They also serve pizza and salads which are good and a nice option. They also have some non-beer options like margaritas and some limited cocktails for sale. The biggest drawback is the price. Their cheese pizza starts at $18 and quickly rises from there, while the pretzel costs $13. And while kids are allowed, there's no kids menu so my son ate an $18 pizza. Parking is also a bit challenging due to the popularity of this brewery. Keep in mind that there's more parking in the rear just around the building, but that can fill up fast, too. Had heard about a brewery in Issaquah, so decided to give it a go. The outdoor area looked great, but WOW, the noise from I90 would prevent any conversations. Since it was a rainy day, we ventured inside and ordered fajita and chicken tacos and a beer. They had no citrus beers, so I tried a pale ale, which was good. The tacos were sooooo bad. We (didn't follow signs to down the street) and parked in the back, which there were no signs for... anyways. Once inside space is big with sports, community tables and a big ordering area. Welcome to Washington! A few breweries conveniently located close to my new apartment. Lol After a long day of moving and unpacking, it was nice to try one of the local breweries. I ordered a Formula 5 IPA and a beet salad, after eating drive thru for 2 days, my body was screaming for something healthy. The salad was the ticket, greens, tangerines (mandarin orange) almonds, and beets, between the delicious beer and salad my body was happy again. Good atmosphere, sitting inside or out. Thursday night football on the big screens, fairly busy for a Thursday evening, service was great, although you have to go to the counter to order, which I did one more time to add a Inspirational Poster pale ale, which also was very tasty. Only challenge is parking, as quite a few of the parking in front is reserved for other stores, plenty of parking is available a short walk away though. Yo! Finally a brewery with a cool vibe in Issaquah! My friends and I have always been pleased with our beers, and their pizza is yummy! Pricey, but good. The wings also look divine. They're smoked and you really can't go wrong with that! Other than pizza and wings, there isn't too many other items. Keep that in mind when planning. Only peeve is although there's tons of parking and seating, it does fill up fast immediately starting at 5pm. This makes it kinda tricky when needing to get there later. First off it's a brewing company so i figured the crowd would be more so adults. But no. Outside is some make shift kid play area where other parents kids are all around you as you eat. The food? Garbage . I paid $67 dollars for a pretzel . (That was barely cooked all the way through.) , a "personal pizza ( which is 3 slices for $16 ) that was NOT cooked completely . And 2 drinks. 1) being their "house margarita" which is the mix you get from Walmart for like $4. And then a "whiskey lemonade " which was a brand of whiskey that is worse than jack D's. My pizza had little to no red sauce what so ever. And again was under cooked. When I asked an employee if I could get water she told me "it's inside to the right " walked away. So me not really minding the bit of the distance walked. After I got water . My fiancé realized that were was some sort of substance floating in the water. Most likely soap but Gross? I will never come back and I would ask the owner for a refund or at least to correct the order but let's face it. You can tell the quality over all here is beyond poor. We came here as a group of 4 on a very sunny/hot Friday evening. Formula Brewing has enough tables indoors (they also had the doors wide open so it never felt like you were "indoors") and outdoor seating as well. Outdoors there is a big tent so most of the tables are covered. There are some smaller tables not underneath the tent. Even though there were a lot of people there when we arrived, we were still able to grab a table underneath the tent outside! And because there were a lot of people there already, the line to order was pretty long (10+ people). However, the line moved pretty fast though! We had a tough time deciding what pizza to order, but luckily they allow the option to split the pizza between two flavors: 1) B&B - I personally couldn't try this pizza since I cannot eat Brie, but everyone else enjoyed it! 2) Buffalo Chicken - I will start off by saying I LOVE spicy food, and cannot get enough of it. But the Frank's Red Hot sauce they use on this, boy oh boy, it is SPICY! Just a warning. :) The pizza itself is delicious but that hot sauce...if you can't stand even a little bit of heat, I wouldn't order this. We were in tears after eating a slice. :') 3) Caesar Salad - You can never go wrong with a caesar salad! You have the option to add meat to it if you want (we didn't since the pizza was enough). If you are looking to eat pizzas cooked in a woodstone oven while also enjoying a nice cold glass of beer outside, Formula Brewing is perfect! So I called to order a pizza to-go and was rudely greeted by Natalie. I misunderstood the menu and thought the Smoke House and Smoke Show were the same, with the Smoke Show just an upgraded topping option. She proceeded to rudely ask me if I wanted two pizzas or just one when I tried to explain I misread the menu. I hear her then say "Oh My Goodness!" Right then I should have hung up and went elsewhere. But, the pizza sounded amazing so I proceeded to order. We picked up a couple of beers and the pizza. Beer is excellent as always. We live just around the corner so it was a quick drive home. Opening the box to get a slice and this is what I was greeted with (See Picture Below). I guess maybe I should have went with my gut and told her no thanks. Needless to say, I am not happy. I will, however, say they were busy as it was 4:45 on a Friday. Still, the comment was not necessary and the pizza should have been a lot better. UPDATE: After the owner reached out to apologize for my experience, as well as time for me to process what happened. I really enjoying having the pretzel whenever I'm in town to visit. The pretzel is giant and can easily be shared between 2-3 people. The pizza is solid. The parking here is abysmal. The white footprints on the floor to indicate a line didn't work and I ended up having to get behind people that came in after me. The ladies behind the counter were a bit rude about the whole thing. I did not feel particularly welcomed or appreciated as a customer. I've been here twice (at the behest of coworkers since it's close to the office) and while the service was much better the first time around, it was not good the second time. The beer is not great. The stout is decent, but I'm not a fan of the rest, and they were out of it last time I went. The mixed drinks were not good. The pizza is just okay. All in all, it's just not worth the hassle of trying to find parking and dealing with the bad lines/setup. read more

We came here last weekend to escape our power outage with some pizza and brews. Upon walking in, half of the brewery was taken by a group having a baby shower. There were also lots of children running around in here. I definitely prefer 21+ breweries, so I have to take a star off for that. Apart from the less than desirable atmosphere, everything else was great! The pizza here is absolutely delicious and their beer pours are generous. They also have a pretty wide variety on tap! Poor customer service and ethics from the owner/management. We visited on a Friday night as we were leaving Seattle (18/02/2022). We ordered two beers and a pizza, and paid by credit card at the counter (including a tip!). Unfortunately the receipt printer didn't send our order to the kitchen, so we sat there for over an hour as multiple other parties came and went while we waited for a pizza that was never coming. Staff were cleaning tables around us, but nobody seemed to wonder why there were two people with a number on their table staring longingly at the kitchen for so long. My girlfriend inquired at the bar, and was told 'it's on the way' by an employee who clearly *didn't* check it was on the way, because when she checked again later with a different employee, they realized the mistake. The kitchen was not making a pizza for us. The manager on duty claimed that he didn't have the power to issue a refund. I gave him my phone number, and he assured me that the owner would call within 2-3 days. The owner never called. I then disputed the credit card transaction, because we were not provided with the merchandise that we paid for. Today I just got a notification that the bank is not crediting me because Formula Brewing sent my bank the receipt for the transaction that we made at the counter, and that's good enough for the bank! So now Formula Brewing even gets to keep my tip! My advice for others is to not trust Formula Brewing ownership and management, and to never, ever tip them until AFTER you're done there. read more
