Happy Jack, their cream ale, is a always in my flight along with the Quad, my favorite beer of all time. The rotating seasonals keep every visit feeling fresh. What I find remarkable is that I never experience the after effects I get from commercial store bought beer. The food program is genuinely special -- house smoked BBQ, loaded baked potatoes, soft pretzels, noodle bowls, loaded mac and cheese, and green chili, with vegetarian options too. The setting -- a vintage historic warehouse in the heart of Phoenix's lower Grand Avenue arts district -- gives it a soul that's hard to find anywhere else. If you can make it on a First Friday, the live music takes the whole experience up another notch. Add in a dog-friendly patio and retail beer to go, and there's truly nothing missing. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate, and the owner is always on premises and never too busy to share a great conversation. I'm not a huge beer drinker so I ordered the seltzer on tap and it was good + refreshing. My husband also ordered the Mango Lassi and loved it. We spoke to the staff member on site who I believe said they've been around for 6 years or so. Greenwood definitely deserves more hype as not only were their beers good but they have cute seating arrangements with an open courtyard. Most of the interior, when it's packed, is people standing in line to place their order and waiting to pick up their order. With that being said, I'll give them some props for having some cool old school Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles decor on their walls. Cowabunga dude! Service (2/5): This is where things could be improved. I understand that I came at the busiest time. With that being said, they know the drill with the concert goers wave. You'd think they'd have logistics a little faster to handle the demand. I waited at least 20 minutes to place my order and at least 10 to receive my order. I've seen pizza joints operate in high traffic areas and do things a lot quicker without sacrificing quality. Drinks (N/A): I didn't buy any beverages on this visit. Food (3/5): They sell pizza by the slice and whole pies. They were out of some of the pizza by the slice options while I was there.
