This review is long overdue, I just love Formation. I've hit over 165 classes here because I'm constantly challenged, having a little fun, and seeing results. I've tried so many of the instructors, and everyone has their own vibe. Some are harder than others. It's really cool to figure out your favorites, and switch things up when needed etc. Unlike many other Lagree Studios, when you walk in, you enter a lobby first..Not just boom there's the machines and a cubbyhole for your things. There's a full lobby with seating and a separate room to place your items. The machines are further in the back in another room, which disconnects you from the entry door and windows. So when you're in session, you're not distracted by cars driving by or anything like that. I also really like the ambience. I prefer dark over squeaky bright studios. When it's time for class, the music is blaring and you lock tf in. The instructors are good at correcting your form when needed, and you can tell that the studio has a great deal of respect for Lagree. I've heard people complain about the parking, and I totally get it. But typically if you arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your class, parking shouldn't be an issue. Ive only ever had an issue when I'm running a little late. You can have private events here too which is nice. I celebrated my birthday and it was cute and something different to do with my friends. read more

Everything I found in my research was true: Formation is the most technical, structured, and form‑focused studio around. The instructors pay close attention to your form and give real corrections so you get the most out of every movement. They're not the type of studio that hands you matcha for showing up, but they do run challenges and reward you for hitting milestones, which feels much more meaningful. This class kicked my butt! The studio is really clean and nice. Good music, lights, vibes and awesome instructor. It was my first time on this machine. I started to sweat 10 minutes in. So glad my friend introduced me to this studio. I've been coming here the last 6 months and am so grateful to have a lagree in the SGV. The instructors are great and offer hands on adjustment to make sure you have the correct form. Form is key in Lagree! I always get a great workout with them. The instructions are clear and also helpful if the instructor has time to do a quick demo on an open reformer. It's a nice clean studio with easy parking right in the front. They offer a water station and a clean restroom. All items are placed in the cubby prior to class. read more

I joined Formation when they first opened up in October and took the fall in formation challenge. This was a great way to personally hold myself accountable to be able to work out as much as I could. All of the instructors that I took a class with were great and were really informative and how my body should be positioned for every movement. Lagree is definitely challenging and I encourage anyone looking for a new workout to try lagree out, especially this studio. Although I'm currently not a member anymore, I do plan on going back again soon. read more

Jenny is such a great instructor and I'm sure all instructors are but that's been the class I've been to the most! I need to feel good and start getting a little more toned. The lot here is a bit small but the studio itself was a spacious enough space. The studio felt modern and clean. I tried my first lesson with Norely and found her to be a great paced instructor with a personally good music choice. It was one of the most enjoyable lagree classes I have tried. read more

I signed up for their presale event and been going ever since. The instructors are phenomenal! Each instructor has their own style and energy. Very encouraging and welcoming environment! I love how the instructors demo the moves on and off the mega reformer. This helps since I'm a visual learner. The instructions are clear, there are no mic issues. The studio has 12 megaformers, water, bathroom, and a room with cubbies to place your items. They also have grip socks and drinks for sale. Pros: - beginner friendly - water available - Easy to book through their app, you can also pick your mega reformer! - on classpass Cons: - parking can be a challenge, but there is a small lot it shares among the other stores. A couple of my friends attended classes here and I was gifted a Summer Pack of 6 classes to try out! The first few classes ended up with my legs shaking so much not only during the class, but afterwards! I could not keep my left leg on my car brake, so at each red light, I had to put my car in park because my legs were still shaking, HAH! Has anyone else had to do that before?! My car is not bougie enough for that brake hold feature. I haven't had a good workout like that in awhile! It has been a great exercise and I really appreciated the instructors making it a personable environment-- they'd greet you warmly and give you shout outs during the class, as well as help you with your form. The restroom is clean and I love zoning out in the class- focusing on my balance, form, and vibing with their awesome playlists. My only complaint is the parking lot/ location. If the class is full or depending on the time, the parking lot may be full-- I recommend coming early to get a spot. Otherwise, you'd have to park on the street across or on the same side down a bit. Also, if you are coming from the side where REI and 24 Fitness is, making that left turn into the plaza is occasionally a pain. If there are cars blocking the plaza, you won't be able to make that left turn into the plaza. I've had to drive towards the next stoplight and make a U-Turn because of this. Another note, it's located next to the Metro, and the stoplight there with the trains passing, can take a long time, just a warning! Shout out to Caitlyn and Norely, who always provides modifications in case we can't do the full move the entire time. Caitlyn's music playlists are the best! I love that she turns up the music to get everyone pumped! Class always passes by super quick too! If this place was closer to me, I'd definitely go more often! If you are considering going to Pilates and this place is not too far, I definitely recommend! They have Black Friday and other sales where their classes are discounted, so definitely keep an eye out for those! read more

My first class at this new studio here! Limited size parking lot but was able to find a spot just fine. Right next to a great coffee and pastry spot, Goki Cafe as well. I booked my first class through ClassPass and Molly M was my instructor. She was great with instruction and had a good rhythm of announcing next moves. The machines are brand new which is great and numbered to find your spot. I like that there are mirrors on all 3 sides of you. I like how there's not a window facing the outside and it's all studio to keep your focus on the class. The waiting area is spacious and the cubbies are tucked in another room which I liked. I'm so glad my friend told me about Formation Lagree, which recently opened in Arcadia. The grand opening promo was fantastic-I managed to grab the 10 classes for $150. I've been a regular at gyms like Gold's and 24HF for years, but honestly, I've never experienced anything quite like this. My body is feeling it in a whole new way. So far, I've taken 3 classes with Monica and Caitlin, and I'm realizing I might not have truly worked out until now. My body is shaking, sweating, and definitely feeling the burn. Even if you take the same instructor, each class is unique, so you won't get bored. This workout really targets everything, especially your abs, legs, thighs, and glutes. Each time I think I won't make it because I'm drenched in sweat and cursing inside, I glance at my watch and it's already 40 mins in- just 5 more minutes to go! If you are a beginner like me, no worries; you can always adjust the weight and modify the moves as needed. I have a wrist and elbow issue on my left arm so I would make modifications when I need to. The studio is located next to Goki Cafe, though parking is a bit tricky because it's near where the Gold Line passes through. If necessary, you can always park at 24HF across the street and walk over. Plus, their app is super easy to use for booking and canceling classes. read more

Wow I'm blown away! Formation in Arcadia is a LOVELY reformer pilates studio and such a great addition to the city. There's a lot of pilates studios in the San Gabriel Valley - particularly in Pasadena and I've tried a lot of them. I would say Formation is a significantly better quality workout than Lagree in Pasadena and comparable to Be Pilates and Solidcore. I came out of my class feeling absolutely DRAINED and in pain - which means it was a great workout. The instructor I had was Magaly and I took a Full Body class. Magaly was great! Very encouraging and engaging. She's hands-on and walks throughout the room, shows us exactly how to do each move so we aren't confused, and does some of the workouts along with us so we don't feel alone. I wish they had a larger parking lot - there are pretty limited spaces and the parking spots are small. There is a gender neutral restroom which is nice and clean. I wish they had more restrooms because I had to wait a long time. The machines are very nice and new and clean. The studio space is new, so it's very modern but lacking a bit in decor (which is understandable). read more

Took the leap and started lagree. I found Formation after searching through studios in my area and comparing prices. Formation is the best priced studio I've ever found! All the instructors are fun, upbeat, and very very helpful. They do hands on adjustments (but you can always tell them you're not comfortable with that), and always remind you to breathe. They'll always ask if anyone has injuries and will provide modifications if needed. The studio is super clean and has that industrial look inside. Bonus points cause it's dark! There are 12 mega formers and you can reserve your spot up to a month in advanced on the app. I absolutely LOVE this place and I always look forward to a class! The studio is brand new and is equipped with the newest edition of the Megaformer, enabling the instructor to deliver an intense workout. The classes are intimate with twelve machines but is perfect for Lagree. A small lot is available in front but with plenty of street parking nearby as well. Noteworthy tidbit: Definitely appreciate the instructors for locking the doors when classes are in session. My lagree-obsessed friend brought me here for my first class and it was one of the most humbling yet rewarding experiences. Their classes are suitable for all levels of expertise while being very beginner-friendly because of how helpful the instructors are. I love that they always demonstrate each move and make adjustments to improve my form. They have also added more class variations like beginner, advanced, and also pre/post-natal on top of their general full body classes. There's truly something for everyone. I have beeing going to the classes for couple of months now. I love the energetic and "club" vibe. The room is dimmed and the music is proud. This is low impact workout but VERY intense - my joints thank lagree. My muscle would be sore for a while but it has been amazing to see the strength transformation. The instructor are phenomenal. Despite being in a group setting, they do come around and tweak the forms. The app is very wasy to use. Uiu schedule and cancel. So far the app has not cause any issues. read more

I love this place! Finally a workout studio that is close to me. The place is so clean and spacious. Each class has up to 12 spots. Their app is convenient to book classes and user friendly. If you want to cancel a class you have up to 6 hours before paying a penalty. Which in my opinion is very generous. Each instructor has their own personal style and honestly you can't go wrong with picking anyone. 10/10 would recommend lagree to anyone who wants to tone up their body. read more

I've been coming here since they opened and the owner and other instructors are nothing but kind and wonderful! I'm so glad they brought Lagree to Arcadia and that it's Asian owned. If you're looking for an extremely good workout this is the place to go. If you've never done Lagree before you will be extremely sore, but once you go more it gets easier and you get addicted to the challenge. They're currently offering a good introductory deal and it's a lot more affordable than other studios in the surrounding area. This is a good sign to start your fitness journey! Parking is a bit tricky, the best recommendation is to park in the lot across from the Metro stop near the 24 hour fitness and walk over since the studio itself does not have a lot of spaces. I've never had any issues parking in the parking structure! read more

5 months in (and 5 Lagree studios later I've tried), still my favorite Lagree studio! The space is beautiful and more dimly lit than some other ones which gives me that calm feeling (before the workout kills me, at least) and "leave everything at the door" vibe. Instructors are almost always great. Class is rarely ever super crowded. Parking can be tight but I've never not had a spot for class (parking lot is small but there are plenty street parking). They use newer Mega pros machines which I prefer over the older M3 at many other studios also (probably because the Mega pro was released in 2024 when Formation opened). I feel like you get a better workout overall on the Mega pro (some people describe it as being "stickier" but I think it's just a little bit more resistant to force). read more

I don't know how PANIZ does it, but I sweat more in her slow Lagree classes than I do in a full-on cardio class. The intensity is INSANE in the best way. Her attention to detail is unmatched....she notices everything, from your springs across the room to the smallest hand and toe placement during movements. BUT it's the kind of instruction that makes you realize how much you've been missing everywhere else. Add in the best music and the best energy, and you're hooked. 10/10. read more

I absolutely love going to formation!! All the instructors are super informative, welcoming and really care about their clients. The studio is clean and never crowded. They have membership specials throughout the year, so be on the look out! I only pay $129 for 8 classes which is pretty cheap. The only thing that might be annoying is the parking lot because it's right next to the train station. Sometimes you get trapped when the train is passing by, but I've learned to park on the street from now on! read more

I've taken a couple of classes here and every time it was killer I love that every class has a different routine so you're never bored with doing the same move. The restroom is clean and stocked with hair ties and menstruation products in case you need. The machines are brand new and easy to change springload. She makes you WORK -- truly the best bang for your buck for a drop-in class. Her cueing is what sets her apart: she explains breathing, muscle engagement, and proper form instead of just calling out moves. Add great music and a challenging flow, and you leave feeling like you actually got a real workout. Highly recommend her classes. The studio is super cute too. read more

I have to start off by saying I had never been on a reformer in my life before, so at my first class, it was quite an adjustment to being on a machine but my instructor, Steph, was very informative! In fact, all of the instructors I've had so far are very informative about each move you do and help with correcting technique throughout the class. I've been doing Lagree since 2018 & constantly trying to find the best studio where I'm challenged. I gave Formation a try on a Monday & took Steph's class. Let me just say, there are some Lagree classes where I don't sweat & I've taken some where I sweat like crazy & those are my favorite. Her class was challenging & she offered extra challenges for seasoned people & it did not disappoint! I'm taking her Monday class again this upcoming week haha. My only tip for the class is to leave with enough time! The metro passes by very often so you want to be sure you consider that in your travel time. I use the 24 hour fitness lot & just walk over there to get extra steps in. But if you want to park near the studio, definitely give yourself extra time. read more
