I have legit never had an experience like this. I wasn't even going to leave a review until the owner decided to let me know she has never had a negative Yelp review, so I guess there's a first for everything! I found the online booking system confusing, which I am happy to admit was my error. I made a mistake twice booking for the wrong location. The first time I didn't notice until the day of the session, and Melissa was very understanding and sent me a code to reschedule. I did not expect or ask for this, I would have paid the fee, I understand 24 hour policies - so to have this used in a retaliatory way later was bizarre. I had a great experience in my session and therefore logged on to book a second session. However, I once again booked the wrong location (the site is not super clear, and I admit I got confused by it twice!) I canceled IMMEDIATELY, within 5 minutes. The website said I would be credited, but I was charged and no refund ever came through. I emailed twice through the email address the site says to contact through, to no response. I gave it 4 days. Finally I texted to say that I would have to do a dispute through the bank since I had not heard back. At this point Melissa accused me of threatening her and took a very strange, toxic tone with me that I found extremely jarring. There was no need for any of this, and if your email address on your website is wrong or you don't check it, perhaps you should change it or not suggest that as your main point of contact if you experience booking issues? I have truly never had an experience like this with a business owner and as someone brand new to Pilates, it really turns me off the entire experience. Luckily there are plenty of other studios to attend in the area that hopefully aren't run by a bully.

There are a total of seven reformers, signing up for class is super easy and straight forward on their website. There are several different class packs you can buy if you don't want to commit to a membership. I parked at the Schoolhouse parking garage on Green St. $1 for up to two hours and it was only about a three minute walk to the studio. Quick, safe and convenient. I had Sheri as my instructor. Even though it was an intro class, we had a mixture of people with all different levels. Sheri was awesome to give different options to those who are more advanced or simply those who would like a challenge. If you're thinking of taking your first reformers class, don't be intimated because your instructor will go over each functionality/part of the machine. One of the things I look out for when determining how much I'll enjoy the class is whether or not an instructor will be hands-on in correcting your form. Like yes, please correct me so I will know what's the correct way moving forward. So thank you Sheri for being hands-on. I was back home for the holiday season and I'm glad Yelp helped me discover this studio.

I also like to run and the classes are the perfect strength training regimen to support my running. I've noticed some other yelp reviewers complain about the lack of friendliness in the studio and I can understand that. It's not Soul Cycle and you're not going to get a sermon with your workout. I do feel that the front desk staff is always warm. When I was able to go more consistently and pick my classes, the instructor knew my name. My schedule doesn't allow for me to take the same classes and see the same instructors anymore; I go when I can. The workout really can't be beat and the social aspect of the studio isn't that important to me so I don't mind letting that go. I would like to note that the co-owner, Alex, couldn't be nicer. He helped jump start my car after I left my lights on during class. Always smiling, always friendly.

I've taken numerous workout classes, including Lagree, so I was already familiar with the machine and many of the movements. The class itself was not very engaging and felt quite simple. There was no music, very few demonstrations, and minimal holds or challenging movements. However, the biggest issue was my experience with the instructor, Lo. When I arrived, she kindly showed me to my machine and went over the basics of the spring load and how it functions, which I appreciated. I also agreed to hands-on support when offered. Unfortunately, her attitude throughout the class felt very condescending. When I needed to be corrected, she would shout my name and say things like, "You're doing it wrong," without providing clear instructions on how to correct the movement. She also rarely came over to help adjust my posture, despite doing so for many of the other clients in the room. At one point, I asked her a simple question about my foot positioning for an exercise, and she chuckled in response, which was quite degrading.

Bring: water, towel, grip socks Downside: they don't have a real person you can speak to if you're calling. There is only automated person who can't help you if you have anything besides what's the address and where to park. Also, no one is at the front door if it's before you class and you have questions and concerns about parking, class, etc. I couldn't even open the door with the code to go in. I think the key you open it 15 min before class and that's when you can ask a real person questions. I really like lagree because of the low impact, strength training that builds muscle. Usually I do circuit training but this is so different and I love the workout. When we do glutes, I really feel it in my glutes. Usually I don't when I do squats or lunges. My glutes have been sore for 1 week after the class. Highly suggest doing Starter50 or Foundation50 if you haven't or don't know how to do the moves on the lagree machine. Do like 5 classes, even the instructor suggested it because in the regular class, the instructor doesn't come down on the machine and correct your posture at all and it is very fast pace. I did the Starter50 class and it was the pace where I didn't know my form and she was correcting it and lets you know each exercise and corrects everyone. The class still makes you work out and I was sweating and shaking. Lagree machines are clean because at the end of the class, they give disinfectant wipes to wipe down the machine. There isn't a good place to put your stuff besides inside the machine on the floor that has space to put your shoes/sandals, water bottle, and purse. It's not big so don't bring too much stuff. The ambiance is very nice and dark with blue lighting. Very cool. Go early to get the best lagree machine. So you can see the instructor. Parking: there is underground parking on Fair Oaks Ave that is they validate for free for 90 min. If the FRONT parking is blocked, drive around to the back of the building that has a weird curvy small road (right cross street of Leonard J Pieroni St) and there is another entrance to the underground garage. If there is an event, and to the parking person said you'll have to pay, you don't. The studio gives you a validation to park at the curvy road at the back ground parking. HOWEVER, be sure to park at the front or behind the building. DON'T PARK AT THE PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET. THEY DON'T VALIDATE PARKING AT THE ACROSS THE STEEET PARKING LOT.

I found them through ClassPass and noticed on their website that first-time clients are required to take the Luxe Fundamentals class, which I appreciated since it helped me get familiar with the studio and teaching style. I already had my own grip socks, but they do have grip socks available for purchase if needed. The studio itself is spacious, bright, and filled with natural light. They have eight custom Balanced Body reformers that felt incredibly comfortable to use. The reformers are slightly longer than standard ones, which was my personal preference. I'm sure others would like this as well! The layout is thoughtfully designed and never felt crowded, even during class. I also caught a glimpse of one of their private rooms, which looked lovely. I took Luxe Fundamentals with Myra, and she was fantastic. She incorporated a 10-pound Pilates circle into the workout, making it a surprisingly challenging full-body class while still offering modifications for those with back pain or other limitations. What stood out most was how she took the time to learn everyone's names, which made the experience feel personal and welcoming. The music was upbeat without being distracting, and Myra's instructions were easy to hear throughout class. There's a small bench near the entrance for personal belongings, though I would have appreciated a bit more space for bags and other items. One thing to keep in mind is parking. The lot is fairly small, so I would definitely recommend arriving early to secure a spot and settle in before class. Overall, I had a great first experience and can see why people love this studio. Nevertheless, there are some drawbacks which probably have more to do with the management than Zoe or the trainers. This should be a great place to workout because Zoe is very experienced, it costs a fortune, there are very few clients at any given time. But it's not. If you don't workout with Zoe who is very hard to get into, the other teachers are hit and miss. You pay a fortune, but they make you carry a little bottle of disinfectant and paper towels around and clean each piece of equipment yourself after you use it regardless of whether or not there is a drop of sweat, while they watch you and inspect afterward. Seriously. At 1.25 per minute, you end up spending a lot of your own money to a) learn how to clean their furniture, b) clean their furniture and c) have your cleaning inspected and d) redo your cleaning if you are not clean enough. There is no parking. If you go after dark, you have to walk down a dark alley to a public parking lot a block away and be sure to have change or you will get a parking ticket. Very snobby. If you don't spend a fortune don't expect to be welcome or have a regular time. If an exercise doesn't work out for you due to a physical problem, most of the teachers will not or perhaps do not know enough to adjust your workout. If you like to be treated like a loser, clean gym furniture that does not need cleaning, drive around looking for parking, walk down dark alleys, pay top dollar for exercise programs that are not customized to you, find your hour being gradually whittled down to 45 minutes less 5 or 10 minutes of time spent cleaning furniture, and in short spend a lot of money to be miserable, then try Zoe Pilates studio. But I don't recommend it. PROS: Zoe is well trained and experienced Studio is not crowded CONS Teacher quality is hit and miss No parking Overpriced Obsessive over making clients clean their furniture Cut your time short if they are running late Snobbish: Treat non-big spenders poorly and Will not give you a standing appointment They will freely cancel your appointment at the last minute without apology or rescheduling. Have been canceled as close as 30 minutes before an appointment. Often will not turn on the air conditioner in the summer and you will have to workout in over 100 degree temperatures This kind of atmosphere where they will discourteously cancel appointments up to the last minute, I would be inclined to be forgiving of their faults if they were forgiving of mine, but they hold the customers to a much higher standard than they hold themselves. I felt enormous relief when I stopped going to Zoe Studio. Find another pilates studio. One that actually wants your business, and treats people courteously. Zoe is certainly very knowledgeable - find someone she trained who works at a less snobby and rigid studio.
