Lauren Best is a hair goddess! Back in my 20s, my naturally curly hair became fried after doing Brazilian Keratin treatments for years. I found Lauren after doing extensive reading about CGM. Before we even got started, she took the time to look at my hair inspiration pictures, ask me questions about why I liked them, and explained why some things would or would not work with my hair type. My 18 yo son has been going to Forma+Collective for a while now. Leanne gives him a fantastic cut that he can maintain. I recently went in for color/highlights and saw Leanne as well. She did a beautiful job. She listened closely during the consult and totally nailed my color. She is spunky, personable, and talented at her craft. The salon has a good vibe. The energy between the stylists is really positive. Prices vary depending on which stylist you see. I'm a fan of Leanne (who happens to cost less) but if you need some high level talent from someone with heaps of experience, the owner (Chelsea) is very well known in the industry- especially for color. I have been working with Randa for a year, and she has been incredible. I had fragile hair from being platinum blonde for years, and then I got sick - making my hair extremely delicate. As a consequence almost the entirety of the hair on the crown and back of my head had broken off to no more than an inch or two in length. I was anxious to even go to a salon, I was such a mess. Randa was wonderful at my first appointment. She immediately came up with a long term plan of action, and an amazing cut working with my hair breakage. I visit two stylists here, Jessica for my curly dry haircut and Randa for my color. Some people may be confused as to why I see two different stylists but Jessica is so specialized in doing haircuts she referred me to Randa for color. This means, I get the best haircut and the best color from each and not someone that is great at one and maybe not so great at the other. Each time I come in here I feel welcomed by everyone working there. The environment feels friendly and fun, you can tell everyone gets a long and is having fun when working there. I went in just to touch up my roots and trim my bangs and was shocked when I went to pay and was charged $170. And my roots were still dark, which was the main thing I wanted to fix. Also, the salon is very hard to find and you have to park in a parking lot far from the entrance. The parking lot was creepy to walk in after dark when you're by yourself. I won't go back. read more
