I went in with beautiful long almond nails and came out with a mess. No two nails have the same shape. They are streaky, product all over my hands and not the color I asked for. I am so disappointed. I came in with one nail that was slightly lifting and instead of just clipping the lifted part she cut off my whole nail and put a tip without asking if I was ok with my own nail being cut off. Instead of painting the same color that I came in with like I had asked she painted some weird pink base color that looked terrible with the blue that I had requested to be barely painted on the tip. I really wanted to try a local place since moving back to Santa Paula and support local business. I got a pedicure and everything was average...got my nails done by another gentleman and he took a really long time to do my nails. Anytime I moved my hand he would put a stop to it. He seemed very bothered by any hand movement or any changes or questions I had. I don't think I've ever left a salon angry because I couldn't speak up or move my hands. So.... I won't be coming back. The place was dirty (first red flag). The man that did my acrylic nails, filed the skin around my cuticle's, even though I told him several times he has not only filling my nails but my cuticles too. And surprise, suprise I ended up with two bloody cuticle's. I was charged extra an $20 because I wanted two flowers on my nails (brought in a picture of what I wanted), sad to say the flower designs that was done looked nothing like what I requested. The when my nails were done, I was not given the chance to wash my hands. My fingers were full of dust and acrylic powder, but no time to wash my hands since it was time for the pedi. The pedi was also not great, the same guy did my pedi. He didn't dry my feet properly and the gel nail polish was not sticking on due to my wet toe nails. He was ready to add the top coat, when I told him that the gel polish was spotty. He looked irritated but he redid my nails. The pedicure was still not great but I was ready to leave. Won't be going back. Honestly I think the service was bad because it's pretty clear that to guy does not give to f***s about his job, which make for horrible service. I was there yesterday. Looks like it's a married couple who own the place. When I first went there, wasn't greeted. Just asked what I needed. So the lady (Wife) has helped me 4-5 times. She does an ok job. That's it. She's also very rough, files hard and has cut my finger before. Not friendly at all. Ok no biggie. So yesterday, the lady is busy. The man helps me. He was very gentle. Yet burned me with the filing machine. When I pulled my hand away, I seems like he got mad. After that he was very rude, pushing my hand away when finished with one, pulling at the other. Very unprofessional. He never said ok your done, thank you. Nothing. Just walked away. The other lady who does pedicures is very nice. But I will never go back again. Another great experience at forever nails I came back about a month later to get a manicure now a full set and a lady who help me today was different but she was just as pleasant!! I was one of those customers who went on my lunch break I know you shouldn't do that but I work across the street, so I asked them if they would be able to service me in less than an hour and they totally did I don't even think it took 45 minutes for a full set!! Mani/pedi done by two in tandem! One was a man who did most of it. Very professional and didn't feel too uncomfortable. Will make appointment next time and have only a lady working on me. I came to this nail salon a few months ago only because it was my second choice. My favorite nail salon was super busy that evening and my little sister needed to get her nails done that night. Anyway, we walked in and a lady greeted us and asked us what we needed. It wasn't packed, but there were only about 2 or 3 people working and they were all busy at the moment. She told us it would be an hour wait and told us we can either come back in an hour or wait inside, which was totally fine with me. We had a lot of stuff to get finished that night so we told her we would be back in an hour. We went back an hour later and this time there were more people there than before. The same lady greeted us and told us it would be ANOTHER hour wait. Ridiculous. I never complain much, but this really ticked me off. Why would she tell us to come back in an hour if she was just going to let other people jump ahead in line? I asked her why she would tell us to come back in an hour and then tell us again it would be another hour wait when we were there first? She began to apologize and said "I'm so sorry!" about a thousand times and told us we can go back tomorrow morning and I told her no because my sister needed her nails done THAT night. She chased us out the door apologizing to us another thousand times. I'm never coming back to this place! They had terrible service and the place is old and really needs an upgrade. First times I just brushed it off, and today they had me wait nearly half and hour before the lady comes over and asked if I can leave and come back tomorrow. Best believe I'm not going back.
