Owner insisted I do both together . I like it done separately . The manicure is done poorly , if sitting on the pedi chair . The owner refused ! I insisted .. mani done on table in less than 10mins ! Technician eager to close shop at 6.30 ! Why have me come at 5.30 when closing is at 6.30? Everyone was hurried and in a mighty rush . I have been here several times . I came here to get a gel manicure. I asked for a simple design and was happy to pay for the extra cost but the lady told me it would take too long and only allowed me to do it on one finger. Long story short, it didn't matter because she made 2 of my nail beds bleed in the manicure process so I didn't get any polish because they were too bloody. She attempted to stop the bleeding with NAIL DIP POWDER, which is so unsanitary, even after I asked her to stop. I also had to pay $18 for this whole experience with no manicure at the end! I really like the girls at Forever Nails. I think they do a great job and the prices are great too. They do everything from gel nails, regular manicures, pedicures to nail design. What I like about this place is the amount of time they take for any service. I never feel like they are in a rush and trying to get to the next client. They rarely turn people away and give pretty accurate wait times. Personally, I recommend getting an appointment. I do a lot of walk-ins but appointments are better if you like a certain nail tech. I usually get a French pedicure and they can last me two weeks without a chip! Occasionally if I messed up a nail, I've gone back in and they've fixed it for me. (Repairs need to be done within two days, I think) Though everyone is great and does a wonderful job, I am extra fond of Tina for pedicures. Have I not written a review yet? Because this is my go to place now that I am doing acrylic nails. First, I am obsessed by these nails which I finish off with gel. Being someone who has never had nice nails, this is the most wonderful treat. I have dry, brittle nails and I use my hands a lot. So I have never been able to wear nail polish nor have nice nails. I go to Tiffany and she does a great job with my nails every time. I go to her every 3-4 weeks to get the nails filled and new polish. The cost is $31 for the fill and the gel. This local salon by a Los Altos downtown parking lot is not the cleanest I have been to but $15 for basic mani is harder to find in that price now. I had an appointment an hour before closing and they didn't make me feel rushed to leave. The lady doing my nails made sure I sat there until my nails were dry before she let me pay and leave. This was the worst pedicure I have ever gotten. I sat in the chair for over an hour before my nails were even painted. A young girl was doing my nails and clipped the side of my toe which started bleeding. She put pressure on it but did nothing else - not even an apology for cutting me. After she finished shaping my nails, another technician came in and proceeded to cut my nails even though I specifically said file only. After my toenails were extremely too short she continued to cut the cuticle around my nail until it was red and puffy. Two of my toes were torn up after this. read more

This nail salon has zero concept hygiene and sanitation. The technician used dirty towels and touched cash tip then proceeded to work on my nails without washing her hands. More importantly she cut my finger and didn't do so much as to acknowledge or apologize. When I asked for alcohol wipes and neosporin she completely ignored and failed to realize the potential for infection. If you are ok with low sanitation and cheap prices this is the place. The staff is so incredible - kind, accommodating, and a great attention to detail you love to see at a nail spa. $30 for the best gel manicure I've ever had and I splurged for the $45 forever pedicure which included a scrub, hot stone massage, and paraffin wax. Totally worth it. I called and made an appointment the day before since my friend and I wanted to go at 10am on Sat but they did take a few walk ins while we were there. Only one or two people they asked to come back later but that's to be expected during Sat AM in my opinion. Forever Nail Spa reliably delivers a quality gel manicure and long-lasting pedicure. Their technicians are thorough and I'm always pleased with the shape of my nails. I ultimately stopped going to them, though, because of their dated color choices for regular polish (their gel choices are OK). But, I would probably go back if I were in a pinch, or if they updated their polish options. I highly recommend setting an appointment, as they can get quite busy and I regularly saw clients without an appointment turned away. But, they are very flexible if you call ahead. read more

Terrible. Came in for a shellac polish removal. I said 3 times that all I was removal and didn't have time for a manicure because I had to catch a train. They removed the color and filed my nails and charged $18 claiming I should have told them I didn't want a manicure. My hands are dry, my nails are not smooth, I don't have any polish on (not even clear) and the "manager" came out claiming I had a manicure. I refused to pay $18 and they said $17- telling me it was my fault. What a joke. In hindsight I shouldn't have paid them that much. $12 would have been fair. Total joke. My coworker and I will no longer be coming back to this salon, its too bad too because their place is clean and its close to our work. We went a few days ago and had an appt at 5:45pm, my coworker got started on at 6:10pm and I didn't get started on until 6:20pm. So obviously EXTREMELY late and once again we get started at separate times....not cool!! This has literally happened every single time we have come in with an appointment. My other issue was that I had a toe nail that had fallen off on my big toe. There was still a piece of the old nail attached and I had to tell them 4 times to leave the nail alone and just paint it. Get this.....one of the ladies came over to look at it and started clipping some of it away!! WTF!! Did you not hear me the other 4 times to leave my toe alone. That's not something you just start doing to someones toe. I was so annoyed!! read more

I guess nothing much has changed since my last review in 2010...pedicure was awesome, manicure was subpar. Lyly did an excellent job on my pedicure, I've never done gel on my toes but the price isn't too bad and i figure i'll keep the polish on until my nail grows out. My manicure on the other hand was also gel but not applied on as meticulously and after one day i notice the tips are not perfectly painted. And she did something that is just one of my pet peeves - instead of using a brush and alcohol to clean around the edges she used her own nail to wipe the excess polish. One, it hurts and two, she didn't even take all the polish off. I think for the price I will go back but you guys have to find the right techs and ask for them. P.S. maybe I got the same nail tech as 2010 but this time she asked me how much my purse was and a client left their ring on the table and she just put it on her finger, I hope she's just wearing it for safe keeping. read more

My hubby and i had pedis here, (yes, my guy gets pedis, don't be jealous ladies.) We were seated immediately, but then my guy was left to soak for a long time until someone came to work on his tootsies. It wouldn't have been a big deal if someone had communicated that he'd be sitting there for over 20 minutes. I wasn't very happy with my pedicure. The woman kind of hurt me, and I actually had to ask her to stop doing so a few times. I'm no wuss, but I get concerned that if it hurts, it will hurt worse later, (or result in a mild infection.) She also got a bit of polish on my skin, and I had to specifically ask her to remove it. I REALLY hate to have to do that, i don't want to seem nitpicky and difficult. BUT, the reason i go and get them done, instead of doing them myself is partially because i can't keep the polish in the lines:( Prices were reasonable, but I'd rather pay a few dollars more for a better overall experience. With the numerous nail salons in the area, I definitely won't be going back here. read more

The first time I went there the lady did not do a good job on my $45 pedicure. The nails were cut uneven, she did not file them and did a terrible job painting them. I didn't realize how bad they were until I got home. I called to have a redo. The man who answered the phone did not not speak English much. He did say to come in. I tried to explain to him this is for a redo on a pedicure. I mentioned this at least 3 times so I would not have any issues when I arrived. Sure enough I did. I told the lady when she started that this is a redo and thanked her for fixing them. She was not same person who did them the first time. Unfortunately she did not speak much English also. I tried to mention this a few times during the appt. When it came time to leave I tipped her and said thank you. Right before I left two ladies said I needed to pay AGAIN. I told them I spoke with a gentleman to make the appt and pointed to a guy standing behind the counter and said he told me to come in. He then said "oh I forgot to tell her and asked me to pay her $10". Then another lady behind the counter tried to confront both of us and question me about my lousy first pedicure. This was really poor customer service. The first pedi was really bad and it cost $45. They really need to have someone in there that speaks English to avoid confusion or at least not have someone who speaks and understands English making appointments. In defense of the second lady, she did a much better job on my nails. I still don't think I will be back because of the first lady and the confusion when I went back to have the lousy pedicure fixed. read more

Most inexpensive nail salon I've come across in a long while, with $13 regular manicures and $23 regular pedicures. My gel French manicure came out to $35 - probably a good $10-$20 less expensive than I'd come across anywhere else in the Bay (including Oakland, where this same set runs me around $45 sans tip). I was also impressed by the gel color assortment and the pedicure chairs, which I did not sit in but looked very comfy and professional. No plain buckets here! Just lined jet foot baths. Finally, they had lots of employees, which meant they had the capacity to work on 7-8 people at a time. I imagine this leads to shorter wait times. I was even able to walk right in and be seated immediately on the day before Thanksgiving, when apparently everyone else decided to get their nails done. My only wish was that they had a better array of nail designs, which I admit I'm a sucker for even if they can be gaudy. read more

Best experience I've had at a salon in Los Altos! Clean. They put liners in the pedicure baths. Very friendly staff. But my manicurist kept double checking her work to make sure my nails looked picture perfect. And they looked perfect. I left extremely happy!! read more
