Too much wildfire smoke, try another day. Can you come back later? It's too rainy out. We're not taking glass today, maybe tomorrow. It's too cold, can you come back later? No. I can't come back later. Do the people who pretend to accept recycling here have even the first clue on how to manage a professional service to the community? I have dumped thousands of pounds of legit recycling and redemption containers in landfill with the regular trash because I DON'T HAVE TIME to make repeated visits with a truck in the impossibility rare event that this clown will actually be able to perform the basic service that is advertised on the front of the place. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS FRAUDULENT ESTABLISHMENT.

The staff is very supportive, although they appeared to be short staffed today. Apparently, others have discovered this special location as it was very busy today and people were lined up but we were in and out in 15-20 minutes. NOTE: Although, the signs say no crushed, if you are able to get the bar code available to be read, you should be ok. We just twist the item to semi-uncrushed so bar code can be read. Whatever you do at home, do not remove the wrapper with the bar code. Also note that more items are now recyclable. While we do recycle glass, we find glass to be not worth recycling due to weight and price per pound but we continue to do be recycling partners for California, even if it's glass.

Didn't really want to drive all the way out to Douglas. Asked someone about Lincoln recycling and they mentioned this one behind Safeway. Looked it up on Yelp and recognized the name, NorCal Recycling, to be the same as the Douglas location. Drove over there and was surprised to see owner Adrian there too! Turns out this is a newer location and he goes between both. Very professional, friendly and I was in and out in a matter of minutes with a cleaner garage and cash in my hands. I love how the other employee sees me coming in my car and comes over with the bins all ready to go. Even helps me unload! That's good customer service! Definitely recommend NorCal Recycling--all locations! (I think they have another Roseville location too, other than Hobby Lobby. Not quite sure where, though).

I remember being…read morea little skeptical at first because recycling centers aren't always located in the best areas, and as a woman, safety is important to me. However, this place is close to stores and residential areas, and it's out in the open rather than tucked away in a hidden corner, which definitely makes me feel more comfortable and at ease. It's a little out of my way, but it's absolutely worth the extra drive for me, especially for the peace of mind and feeling of safety. I'm happy to have found this place!

Let's start at the beginning, there was a LOT FULL sign at the entrance, not blocking at all & I saw no attendant there bringing cars in from other lot or anything so I wasn't going to trust that, I slowly pulled in & surprisingly found ONE singular spot open right in front! I wasn't sure if it was a walkway to the front but the line wrapped around the next 3-4 spots so I knew I wouldn't be in any way. I got all my recycling in the first two wired bins I could snag near me, it wasn't until I was in line that I noticed a small sign, not even near the empty cans, that described what materials they wanted placed in specific bins. (There's wired & blue plastic ones) I don't believe I followed what they wanted exactly but they still took my materials! So that's good. I had a broken beaker in my glass & mentioned it to the gentleman doing the weighing & he told me they'd take it I'm fine! I watched as he weighed out my minimal amount of materials & then wrote me out a receipt of sorts. I got to the front, the lady on the right took my clipboard & then said the lady on the left will give me my cash. NOW, I had read Yelp reviews on this place before going & a person said a lady fitting this one's description had jipped her $10 ! Off of a $65 total! Insane! So I made sure to check my money before even turning around to leave, I could tell my amount was $11 & I flipped up the 10 & said politely, "this is only $10, I'm supposed to have $11?" She got flustered & apologized while digging out another dollar for me. I'm glad I read reviews bc I might've walked off & got in my car before realizing, then probably would've been too scared to say something! So that lady being a serial jipper & the state of the parking lot, potholes & no attendant are the reasons for stars knocked off! This place is so far east in Fairfield I might as well just go to VacaRecyling, I enjoyed that place!
