We have to drive approximately 12 miles to this one and only location that provides this type of service but it is well worth the drive. The staff is very supportive, although they appeared to be short staffed today. Apparently, others have discovered this special location as it was very busy today and people were lined up but we were in and out in 15-20 minutes. NOTE: Although, the signs say no crushed, if you are able to get the bar code available to be read, you should be ok. We just twist the item to semi-uncrushed so bar code can be read. Whatever you do at home, do not remove the wrapper with the bar code. Also note that more items are now recyclable. While we do recycle glass, we find glass to be not worth recycling due to weight and price per pound but we continue to do be recycling partners for California, even if it's glass. read more

Love simply recycle!! Was recommend by a friend and now I make the trek to come out here when I can. Make sure your bottles and cans aren't crushed or it'll go in the reject bin. The staff always help me with the process of dumping my bottles into their machine that sorts through everything. Super friendly! Once it's done, voila a ticket prints out! You bring it to the counter to sign a receipt and they give you a different voucher to scan at the kiosk to get your earnings. read more

The employees are polite, helpful, and are able to answer questions. The facility is reasonably clean, and almost always spotless.

It was my first time here because the outside recycling place was closing early for the day. I found Simply Recycle and I'll never go back to the outside recycling facility I've found my new Recycling Center. They go out of their way to make the experience smooth and NO SORTING AMAZING just dump, get paid, and Go. I Love Simply Recycle it's Simply Amazing! read more

Wow, guys at the door helped me with the process. Guided me on where to begin. They had a cart to load recyclables in. Backed my car right up next to the place. They helped me empty my bags and told me keep my hands clean. The machine spit out tickets, which I took to the counter he combined the tickets and weighed what wouldn't fit in the machine. Price was right. Service outstanding! Will be coming back. The technology is amazing keep up the good work guys. read more

simply the best place to recycle. knowing the family who owns this family owned business isnt hard to do. They are so personable they get right in there and share how they did it how they do it and what they want to do in the future. Their competitors are no slouch but they would have to go through so many more esteem-able situations and circumstances to touch these down To earth group of guys they are the most helpful kindest people I've encountered in my visiting of all the local recycle centers in the area. they are fair go above and beyond and are fun to talk to. They are truly self made with a hint of the old faith thats lost in this day and age. It's nice to see it still works and they are the ones in gainful business because of it.... Thanks guys o read more

Incredible hidden gem in Fair Oaks! They are a brand new, locally-owned, small family biz that is doing big things in the world of recycling. First off, if you recycle, the world and the future thank you! Secondly, if you are going through the motions of saving the planet, one bottle/can at a time, then you should go to Simply Recycle and have a pleasant experience while doing it. At Simply Recycle, you don't have to stand in the elements of a parking lot waiting for your turn, separating your recyclables, and moving garbage cans around. This is a very clean, very nice indoor facility that has an easy-to-use high tech, industrial sized machine that does all the work for you! Just dump all the cans, plastic, and glass containers in the same spot and press the start button. That's when the magic happens. Each item gets carried up a conveyor belt and is sorted and scanned. That part is very important. So the labels have a barcode that gets scanned and you are paid exactly what the CA CRV is, 10 cents or 5 cents, etc. So if there is a missing label or if the bottle is crushed and the barcode can't get scanned, it will go into the "rejected" chute, along with other containers that don't fit in their sorter. Don't worry, you will still get paid for those, as long as there is a label. They get weighed the traditional way. Moral of the story: don't crush your bottles or take off the labels if you can help it. While the machine is recycling your items, it tells you the exact number of items getting processed and how much you are getting paid. When i'ts done, it prints out a paper voucher that you take over to another ATM-like machine, scan it, and get your cash! There are hand sanitizer stations and wipes available also. Easy peasy! What makes Simply Recycle a 5 star business though, is not just the easy, convenient, and pleasant experience, but the awesome staff! Dave is the man! He was so cheery, enthusiastic, helpful, friendly, and just overall great to be around! He explained every step of the process and showed us exactly what to do and what was happening. We even got a behind the scenes tour of their $500K machine at work. BTW, this is the only one in California, and maybe the US (?). Fantastic place to go for your recyclables. It's simply the best! read more

Amazing service! Super kind employees and it's always a good time. Smooth service and well organized. Such an experience and very kid friendly! read more

This place is a very welcome change from the recycling places that are in back of stores, etc, where sketchy people hang around with HUGE bags of can and bottles I've been here twice now, and usually have to borrow their big laundry cart to bring all our stuff, but that's ok! The staff are very friendly and helpful. read more

The only one of its kind in California! What a great resource for us here in Fair Oaks but well worth the trip for you to visit Simply Recycle! Supervisor Dave and crew are so hospitable, helpful and honest giving you every opportunity to get back all the CA redemption value you paid for when you purchased your beverages! The state of the art recycling facility is for beverages only including bottles! DO NOT crush your plastics or cans as they are sent down to a machine that automatically reads the UPC code and gives you the exact amount you paid for it, records the total onto a receipt that you acknowledge, sign and redeem for cash! If you do have crushed items, it is weighed and registered for a receipt in the same way, but you get more back if the item Is not crushed. For example crushed plastic water bottle: 2 cents vs 5 cents not crushed! Simply Recycle is the vision of owner Ivan P, who saw the concept in Canada and brought the business to California! Ivan and brother Dave actually grew up in the Fair Oaks area and the store is in the old Blockbuster where they would come to get videos! The immaculate facility is indeed a business gem serving a two fold purpose of recycling and providing fair financial refund for its customers! Simply Recycle is open Monday thru Friday from 9 am to 4 pm and on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. What a fabulous, purposeful business addition to California- hopefully more will be emerging for all of the state! read more

"The future of recycling is here at Simply-Recycle! I stumbled upon them on social media this week, and it was perfect timing to cash in 6 months of bottles and cans. Everything I wanted in the best recycling experience was there: Friendly staff: Welcoming and helpful throughout the process. Indoor & Climate Controlled: Clean and comfortable environment. Fast & Automated: Quick and efficient with minimal wait time. On-the-Spot Payment: Convenient and hassle-free. Safe: Secure and well-maintained facility. I drove a little further than my usual spot, but it was absolutely worth it. Plenty of parking, and the process was incredibly easy. They walked me through everything, and the system is very user-friendly. Highly recommend checking out Simply-Recycle (closed on Sundays) to experience the future of recycling!" read more

This was so easy! Don't have to sort or anything. It was my first time. Staff were very helpful and it was very clean. They pay well too!

Went in here for the first time and didn't know how anything worked. The staff were super helpful when we needed help, they didn't wait for us to ask! They just came over and started talking to us, which I really appreciated! It's a huge time saver with how you can dump your mixed recycles onto the belt and it sorts everything for you! Simply Recycle is your go to recycling center ! My first visit was incredibly pleasant. The staff is friendly, assistive , and knowledgeable. The new technology of recycling is quick, convenient and satisfying. The new machinery separates all your recyclables and then prints a voucher for you to bring to the redemption machine for your cash. I was informed that they will also be offering bag drops early next year if you're on the go and don't have the time to stop in, with an app available to receive your $$$$ The center is modern, clean and welcoming! Save your cans, bottles, and plastic... then, bring them to Simply Recycle! read more

Super clean facilities, helpful employees and the convenience for Fair Oaks and Carmichael residents. I went to this place, the employees were so helpful. I was nervous at first but it was a breeze with there help thank you very much.

Finally a clean place to recycle and no need to separate everything because the machine reads each container and gives you credit for it. I never knew at the usual locations whether I was getting the full amount for my containers or not because they do everything so fast you can't keep track of everything. With the system in use here you can follow along on the provided screen as the containers are scanned and counted so when it's finished you get a printed receipt with the total count and the amount for different CRV deposits. One thing to remember the machine will not scan crushed cans or bottles but they will take them and weigh them in the usual way read more

Civilized way to recycle with extremely friendly staff and efficient service! I wish there were more locations at it is a bit far from me!

Simply Recycle - Recycling Center Near Me - Fair Oaks, California

I've been seeing this place for a couple months now as I'm in this shopping plaza quite a few times a week grabbing lunch as it's close to my office and I have to say I'm definitely impressed with the quality of customer service and the ease of use of recycling all my aluminum and plastic bottles the reviews made me a little concerned as some of my bottles and cans do get a little crushed, but I was happy to discover that they will still allow you to turn in the crushed materials. It just can't be sorted by the technology and machines they use, but they're still willing to take your recyclables and they pay a very great price. We made $85 by bringing in our recyclables this weekend. So if you're needing a great clean very friendly place to bring your recyclables this is a place to go. I will be bringing all my recyclables here from now on my only complaint is my husband does work Monday thru Saturdays about the same hours as they are open so I'm gonna have to try to do it on the Days when he gets off a little earlier than usual read more

Innovative, clean and the best place I've ever seen for recycling. Team is willing to help with loading, unloading and training.

It's the Coin Star of recycling containers. Press the button, the conveyer starts, dump cans and bottles onto the belt, the machine counts them and a receipt prints. Take the receipt to the counter, then scan it and the money drops. The staff members are helpful, the place is clean, it's conveniently located. Badda bing and you know the rest. read more

Wow !!! what a great experience! This is the most simplistic recycling business I have come by yet! It was very simple and you don't even have to touch the cans and get all dirty, also you don't have to crush the cans the machines does it all for you including the counting ! Then the machine gives you a recipe and you give it to the lady in the front then you sign and go to another machines that gives you your money! How convenient! Highly recommend this place !!!! Ppl are very welcoming and professional as well thankyou ! Simple Recycling!! read more

This is a clean facility with reasonable parking and a great staff. The machine processing only applies if the recyclables are not crushed in any way. The label with the UPC code must be visible for the machine to work. If the machine rejects an item, you still get paid after a visual inspection by the staff. It was busy when I arrived, so the process took about 10 minutes longer than at a regular recycler. Employees don't handle money, but instead provide a voucher that is scanned by a machine that dispenses cash. For my purposes because I have an hydraulic can crusher and have 100% crush on my cans (to save space), it's a 4 star facility, but I've got to hand it to the thought that went into designing this setup, so 5 stars in general. read more
