I needed to recycle cans and bottles and this was the closest to my house. The station is on the side of a Savemart parking lot. There is plenty of spaces to park. You just pull up with your bags and someone helps you sort out the cans and bottles in bins. I luckily didn't have to touch anything. When they are done they just tell you to wait in line with the bins. The cashier counts all the cans and gives you a receipt with the total you get. I thought my four bags was a lot but I guess it wasn't worth a lot only $12 cash back. But it's okay better than nothing. read more

Arrived here for the first time. We got our Trash cans and load the recycle we had. We went up to the booth container and nice lady helped us. Asked if we been there before. We said no first time since the one we used to go closed. She told us the new recycles they accept as well as gave me there card to call in case they are closed. As well she told me about being a rewards memeber for coming back. To get the card stamped evertime and on the 10th time you get an incentive. Lady also showed us we can scan QR code for everything acceptable. We were in and out in 5-10 minutes. It was quick and easy. Will come back again here. First time doing a big girl task of bringing recyclable cans/bottles to recycle! I was scared of doing it all alone with so many bags of cans, but the people there (an Asian lady and a white gentleman) were really nice and accommodating! They pointed for me to get the big garbage bins to bring to my car and dump my bottles into. Luckily I pre-sorted them all before hand. But they were nice about sorting out the other stuff that I thought would be grouped together. In and out in 10minutes. Easy parking next to the recycle center to unload. Would come back! read more

My husband and I were looking for a recycling place and stumbled across Ocean's recycling. We had maybe 7 or 8 bags total. We started sorting through and one of the workers came to help us! I used to toss my cans and bottles in the blue recycle bin, because I feel a lot of recycle centers are grimy and it's not worth my time to deal with the whole hassle. I decided to try saving my bottles and cans to recycle again, and tried this location. It's actually very convenient due to this location. The staff member was very friendly and efficient. The whole interaction was less than 1 minute and cordial. Staff member also explained how to sort plastics to increase reimbursement for different CRVs. read more

My friends and family refer me to this location. The staff in ELk Grove location are marvelous, kind, and helpful. They always greet you with kindness. Space is clean and well organized. Very fast and efficient. They get you in and out. This the best place to go turn in your recycle. They also have this loyalty card. They punch the card each visit and give u extra $.05 per pound on your 10th visit on your alumni and plastic CRV. I would definitely recommend this place. This was my first time using the recycle center. Even though we were 5th in line and had a years worth of recyclables we got out of there pretty fast and the payout was good. They had hand sanitizer on hand and the staff were very friendly. read more

Wow - the staff is incredibly rude and defensive. The attendant was removing glass bottles from my container. When I asked him why, he said, "We don't take hard liquor or wine bottles." I said, "No other place has ever done this. That's rather squirrely." He snapped back, "You don't have to call me names!" I said, "I didn't call you a name, I said your company's policy is squirrely. No one else does this." He said, "I don't have to take any of your stuff!" and glared at me, daring me to say another word. The purpose of recycling is to keep junk out of the landfill. Ocean's isn't interested in that. Please don't support an organization like this. I'll be returning to Valdez on Kent. It's a couple miles further but I'm more than happy to support a company with positive employee attitudes and goals. read more

Hours are actually 9am to 1:58pm on Saturdays. And their response to me stating I only wanted to drop off 4 bags was. "Don't wait till the last minute". Great service not and a poor way to encourage recycling. So frustrating. You would think they would want the business. read more

I love coming here because the employees are helpful and nice. However, the first time I recycled here, I finished near closing time and noticed a man walking up a minute after they had closed and still being allowed to recycle. On a separate occasion I arrived with around 12 minutes to spare and was told to come on time. I'm okay with there being a cut off time, but it should be applied to everyone. read more
