They move fast and make it easy to have containers available to sort your cans and bottles. I always bring a half full bottle of water to wash my hands off afterwards, things get pretty sticky if you're not the type to rinse your cans and bottles out first. I guess their prices are fair. read more

Pretty quick. If you don't know what ur doing.. you won't find much help here. Better to look around and grab bins and start unloading. Don't stand too close when they seperate glass.. glass was braking and pieces flew all over the place into my face and hair.. as well as the gentlemen next to us. They also shouldn't assume that people of other ethnic backgrounds don't understand Spanish.. He said I was crazy for standing so close. I'm assuming bc of the glass situation. Parking is limited in the lot but there is plenty of street parking. After getting in their lot, it is self serve. You get large trash bins and a cart then separate your recycle. Valdez Recycling - most recycling places in our area have closed recently so after going to two places that are no longer in business we ended up here. Drove right up, gentlemen helped us, he was friendly, gave us the $ and we were on our merry way. Yes, they speak Spanish but, they also speak English. What's the problem? I just came from this place they were very friendly I came with ten bags of recyclables a washing machine a dryer and other assorted metals they were fast and efficient they were slow so one of the workers helped me grab the bags and sort all my items I know it's not his job to do so but I felt obligated to give him a 5 dollar tip big kudos to Valdez recycling it's close to my house on a second note yeah they speak Spanish and I understand Spanish and all of what they say is not slander towards anybody and they don't say hey scam this person or anything like that from what another person had wrote in a earlier post I will be coming back and keep giving them my business read more

The ladies working were very nice and patient with me and my questions because the last place I went did not give what I felt I deserved. Most of the local recycling places in the Elk Grove area have closed or have slow service, so after reading the reviews here, thought I would give this place a try. Well I used to come here as a kid so I figured I would write a review. They are relatively close to my house and they are actually pretty nice. They sometimes help you unload your cans and bottles when they are free. Also they do not mind if your glass bottles are mixed up(places I would go to told me to separate the dark glass from the light glass). This place is nice but I wish they did not have gravel and dirty because it is somewhat hard to drag the bins around. Also you must prepare to get dirt on your shoes and clothes once coming here. They do get pretty busy so I would advise people to go early. Overall, this place is cool before they are extremely chill and they give a lot more money$$$ than the rest of the recycling places. read more

i went to this place today at 9 am only 1 other person there, it was quick and easy . the actual place isn't on Kent road its on Dino Street i did drive around looking for it for a while so when on Kent road just make a right on Dino Street and it s the second building on the left you will see the sign .they paid in cash and it was weighed perfectly i was there less than one minute .for 4 bags of plastic and 1.2 bag of cans got 19.15 good for me read more

This is by far the best recycling center in all of Elk Grove! They have these huge white bags that hold A TON of bottles! And there are plenty of containers available for cans. Employees are very helpful! The quickest turn around time! I'm always in and out in 20 minutes! read more

I've taken my cans and bottles to there for 2 yrs now and seems like they've been cheating me. The tare they calculate after they weighed everything, which accounts for the bins used to hold my cans, whatever water was in the cans, was about half of the initial weight. Didn't bother asking much because they spoke spanish mainly and probably didn't understand when I asked basic questions. I just took it like a loser they thought I was. It's $2 a pound, but I feel I could've got a higher amount at $1.70 other places charge. read more

normally i go to nexcycle on bond and elk grove florin rd but they were closed today, "Thursday" i have brought them 8 full bags in the past and walked away with $68 to day i went to these grimy lying cheaters J A recycling with 13 full bags and they gave me a measly $46, they speak mostly Spanish but i understood everything they said, one guy told the other to lie to me and give me less money and worse prices on everything i brought there. they were both unaware i knew Spanish also, they purposefully cheated me and i knew they were doing it. i should have left with at least $80, DO NOT GO HERE, THEY WILL DELIBERATELY CHEAT YOU AND POCKET THE MONEY THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED. the guy went in back and got some money he put what looked like around $25 in his pocket "there were some ones too" and then gave me what was left, the $46, he wore dark shades because i know a coward like this cant look a person in the eye while they cheat them, he was hiding of course behind them. next time i will wait for nexcycle to open they are the only fair and honest place i have been for recycling. J A recycling claims they pay you $2lb for cans but in reality they paid me 00.97lb and i would have received the honest $1.87 from next cycle. but if you are looking to be cheated and ripped of J A is the place to go read more
