My daughter had her nails done by Jade. She was AMAZING, and so sweet! I have been wanting to find a nail place that actually listened to our concerns. (1) She is 13, and I wanted nail appropriate for her age. (2)My daughter bites her nails and cuticles, Jade took the time to explain why it is bad to bite her nails (3) I didn't want acrylic nails as she already had weak nails, so we got hard gel nails with a SMALL tip! I tried Forest Nails last week after seeing the stellar Yelp reviews. I got married in Hawaii a few weeks ago where I had a gel manicure and I needed the gel polish taken off... I made an appointment to remove the gel and have a regular polish manicure and arrived a few minutes early. One woman started working on removing the gel (using a dremel before soaking in acetone) but after two or three nails she got up and another woman took over (I believe her name was Tammy.) She did a light dremel and then soaked my nails in acetone. When she removed the foil/cotton and went back to the dremel to remove the gel, she put a different tip on that felt very hot. It burned my cuticle once or twice and it felt hot on my nail beds. When she started trimming my cuticles she cut my pinky so badly that it started bleeding and did not stop... she nicked me once or twice on other fingers and by the time she went back to the first finger (the original pinky) it was still bleeding so I told her I'd prefer not to put polish on and instead go home to apply neosporin and a band-aid. (At that point, I believe the owner came over to ask what was going on and offered a band-aid and for me to leave without paying, which I appreciated. I felt badly that Tammy spent so much time with me only to not be paid but the service was possibly the worst I've ever experienced, it seemed as if she'd never given a manicure before.) Unfortunately, the way she dremeled my nails made them so thin and brittle that I had to cut them all the way down later that afternoon. (I didn't mention earlier, but the way my nails were cut/filed was also unprofessional. They were uneven and not filed properly, they were rough and snagging on everything.) The manicure I had in Hawaii was wonderful and my nails were long and strong when I went into Forest... I'm writing this over a week from the experience and my nails are still very thin and I have to keep clipping them down as short as possible because the top of my nails are splitting and catching on everything. I am sharing a photo of one finger that still hasn't healed from being nicked. read more

Wish I had read that they are under new ownership. I use to come every so often to Forest and his staff but after today.. awful awful service. Yes they are friendly but I came in for a mani pedi and got worked on both at the same time until the lady doing my nails stopped halfway to start another customer on her pedicure. I had To ask the man doing my pedicure if she was going to finish my nails and he said someone else was going to finish. That did t happen until 45 minutes later. TERRIBLE !!! I made an appointment at 1:30. Wasn't seen until 2:30... the gel " manicure " was rushed and he charged me get this- $50 for gel !?!? Then comes the TERRIBLE pedicure. Didn't even ask what kind of pedicure I wanted... cold water. Did my toes with gel & threw on some lotion? What the hell? No scrub, no hot towels NOTHING relaxing about this shi hole. Also- get this! Pedicure was $30 + $10 for fixing my nail? And then another $20 for gel !?!? $60 for a shi aZzzz pedicure. DO NOT GO HERE. Make this drive to San Diego where prices are the same but at least you get what you pay for and can relax !!!!! I'm so mad. $100+ down the drain. Thank me later. read more

A real shame that I won't be returning after my last attempt. Requested appt for 3pm, but was told I can be accommodated at 2pm instead so I left work early since only 2 was available... after 215 I notice none of the 3 ppl already in chairs still hadn't been started and there were only 2 techs in the front helping out someone who didn't look close to finishing. A second person was later sat who didn't have an appt in front of me and it was clear it was going to be at least 3 before I even got started so I left, because I don't appreciate my time being wasted like that. Nice enough service when you wait long enough to get it, but don't schedule me for 2pm if you can't see me anywhere close to that of my appt time. I won't be returning. read more

I have to say that the gentleman that did my fill was great. He was friendly, helpful, and did a great job. The pedicure from the older lady though? I will never ever come back. I didn't get the cheapest pedicure but she hurried along and did a terrible job painting my nails. She used nearby trash to apply the foot softener and then left the trash under my feet. I don't know what kind of pedicure that is but it didn't scream pampered or upgraded pedicure. She didn't push my cuticles down before smearing too much polish across my toenails. She didn't trim my nails or ask if I wanted them trimmed. Disappointed in the pedicure. I can't believe I paid $60 for that. I give zero stars for the pedicure and a 4 for the fill. read more

Been going here since I moved to Temecula over a year ago. Love Forest and his wife Jade. All employees are excellent!! I personally recommend their Pedicures-there is a large variety to choose from. The technician ripped my old set off with her bare hands and never soaked them, she also cut them with a cuticle cutter instead of nail clippers... she cut my fingers twice, I had to show her which nails were crooked and I was very specific about what I wanted but she fought me on everything and seemed very rushed and my nails turned out terrible. I'm a mom of 2 small children so I like to think of days at the nail salon as a little get away for myself but the whole environment and experience with my tech was so stressful that I felt anxious the whole time. (Also due to me being a mom it's rare that I have time to do this so I won't be able to get these removed professionally for a while). From the reviews other technicians seem to do a good job but this one was just bad. The salon itself was super dark and no music played and only me and one other woman were there, so everything about it was just not good in my opinion. My husband booked me and mani pedi as we are new the area. I will start off by saying their prices are on the higher side, coming from San Diego I was a bit taken back. But after reading the mixed reviews I figured I would give it a try. The overall vibe of the salon is cold and not very welcoming, first strike. I went last Sunday and I will say my pedicure was wonderful, as it should be for $40. My problem is with my gel manicure, let's just say it's 5 days later and several of my nails are chipped and peeling, this has never been my experience gel. There were a few red flags while I was getting my nails done including cutting me but what sealed the deal on me never returning was when I told the manicurist that my nail was messed up and instead of repainting it she did a hack job on my nail just trying to cut off the messed up part in which I am sure you can guess that did not solve the problem and she finally repainted my nail. Overall I will not be returning and I'm more upset that I spent over $100 with tip for my nails to look like not even a week later. read more

This place is HORRIBLE & UNPROFESSIONAL!! Don't come here unless you like to be treated horribly. I rushed after work I call ahead to make the appointment i asked to get my acrylic nails taken off and get a manicure which did not happen. When I got there, there was only 2 other people in the salon that should have been the indicator on not going....but my sister goes here and recommended me this place. Anyways she was so rough with my hands they started off by laughing and making fun of me talking so loudly hovering over me and being right next to the entire time the whole staff (3 lady's) she had the drill bit so fast it was so hot and burned my fingers, she snipped and cut my fingers to the nubs and broke in half 5 of my nails... she cut off one of them so badly it stung so bad I flinched and said Owww and the lady mocked me and said " Ow Ow you know how to say Oww" ... didn't even apologize once! She proceeded to be rough after telling her the way she was doing things hurt she started shaping my nails even with acrylic still left on my nails and doing such a shitty my nails are so thin at this point they hurt sting bleeding and she kept wanting me to soak my nails when they're already so thin.. the two other people that were there at point were gone and it seemed like they got louder man handling me more taking advantage that nobody else is around to witness the way they were treating me. They wanted me to pay for the acrylic removal and manicure before she has even finished taking them off... at that point I told her I'll just be paying for the removal and I got up and went to pay without her fully taking off my nails. I was done I felt taken advantage of never once did they apologize instead they laughed and talked about me and still charged me $15 without FULLY REMOVING THE ACRYLIC. They are personable and professional. Both time my nails were beautiful, and they were happy to accommodate my custom nail design.
