Finding a dentist can be more than a pain in the gums but the moment I called Forest Dental Cafe I knew it was a great place. Kari at the front desk held a personal and engaging conversation & Dr. Kim is just as personable. He listens to your goals & makes the dentist a lot less intimidating. Them along with the professional dental assistants make each visit uniquely enjoyable. Dr. Kim created a personalized treatment plan that fit my oral care goals & his process is timely and efficient. Setting an appointment is easy & flexible. I love that Kari sends me a postcard and leaves a message to remind me it's time to come in. Forest Dental Cafe is a gem and I'm happy that I discovered it. read more

Our family has been going to Dr. Kim for almost 10 years. Quality of care, his staff and his advice has been excellent over the years. Definitely recommend Forest Dental Cafe. Lobby is pretty cool as well. read more

I do NOT recommend this dental office. Although I have insurance, the receptionist told me I would need to pay for X-rays in order to be seen. Not sure why she waited until I arrived to tell me that. It seemed the only solution she had to offer was for me to pay for X-rays. Even after I asked her to request the X-rays from my previous dentist and reschedule my appointment, she still made it seem like paying for X-rays was my only option or that she didn't want to help me. I hope Dr. Kim reads this review so that he can retrain his staff on proper protocols and procedures. Based on my experience with the receptionist, it seems like the office is only focused on making money and not taking care of patients. Update: If there was an insurance issue, I should have been informed PRIOR to my appointment - not upon arrival. In addition, your office offered no other alternative than to pay for new X-rays. I was very reasonable and asked for my appointment to be rescheduled until after my X-rays were sent to your office. To be clear, your office did not reach out to my previous dentist until AFTER I arrived and AFTER I asked them to. There was no initiative on your part. read more

Watch your bill!!! They will overbill and make you pay for X-rays! I paid, but after reaching out to my insurance, they are still trying to figure out why I paid over $90 when I should have only been responsible for $24. I have been going to this dentist for a few years now, and I am not sure what has happened, but I will have to go elsewhere that takes my insurance and does not want overpayment. read more

I have been in the hands of many dentists in my 80 year lifetime, almost all having been very satisfactory. Yet I would rank Dr Kim at the top of all experiences. He is professional, pro-active in treatment, takes pride in doing excellent work, and for those who may have a nervousness about dental visits, he has a very caring and gentle approach. read more

I had high hopes for this place, I went for the first time to do a tooth filling and it was the worst experience I ever had with a dentist! I was supposed to get fillings for my two front teeth, but after he was done and I left the place I found out that one tooth was SCRATCHY! And the other was looking so weird that the two teeth didn't look any close to each other.. I went back and he was like " oh I didn't know you want them to be the same!!!!" He was working on fixing that and obviously he wasn't having enough time because another patient was waiting so he kept carving my tooth instead of fixing the filling itself!! Anyway since this visit I'm having a sensitive tooth that a month later after that I still can't eat or drink properly because of this visit. I even had another appointment to do other stuff because as I mentioned I really had high hopes but he was a complete disappointment that I canceled my appointment and never returned. read more

Forest Dental Cafe is hands down the best dental office in the area and the best I've had a long-relationship with. I love that I can call and a person answers (not a machine) to answer a question or make/change an appointment. I also appreciate the option for Saturday appointments. More than anything, Dr. Kim is a superior dentist who is highly intelligent, who genuinely cares and who values the relationships he has with his patients. I feel very valued as a loyal patient. Also, he is conservative in his approach, never rushing procedures onto the schedule rather he identifies what needs to be observed and gives extra attention and feedback for prevention. I fully trust him as my dentist. Lastly, I appreciate the team he has curated, each team player there is a pleasure to work with. You can tell they enjoy working there and are valued because they are joyful, professional, and hard working. The hygienists are absolutely excellent! They are the best I've had. Tammy, in particular, is a wealth of knowledge! This heartfelt review comes from both my husband and me. I will lastly add that my son, 5 years of age, had an enjoyable first dentist visit, so Dr. Kim is truly our family dentist. Kindly, Wannessa read more

Dr. Kim and his staff are amazing. If you are looking for a kind and gentle dentist who does great work, look no further than Forest Fental Cafe. I've had to have extensive work to correct problems with my teeth, including root canals, implants, and bone grafts. Dr. Kim has gotten me through all of my issues and for the first time in my life I feel I'm in a good place with my teeth. Twice, I've had to schedule an appointment due to pain, and he has gotten me in asap both times. He is thorough with explaining his procedures and I can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients. Like I said, I've found my forever dentist! Forest Dental Cafe is amazing! read more

I expected more from this office. Once I was called back and seated, everything went well. Assistant explained what she was doing and said Dr will be in shortly. Dr came in and everything was going well until you asked him questions about the problems he noted. You could not understand what this doctor was saying. I asked him a question and all he did was repeat what he said but rephrased it. It just seems like he does not know what he is talking about. You try to communicate with him and he just blows it off and will switch the subject. He stutters too much and hard to understand. His cleanings are less than 10 minutes, it just seems like you are not getting a good dental cleaning. I would not recommend this place at all. I can say that his employees were very professional and nice, nothing against them. read more

My first visit with Dr Kim went great. I had an exam and cleaning and both went smoothly. I was able to view my X-rays instantly on a large screen. Dr Kim and staff are very friendly and welcoming. He answered all my questions thoroughly and explained everything in a manner that was easy to understand. I'm coming back in a week for a root canal and I feel confident that I will be well taken of. Great atmosphere too (honestly, this is what caught my interest when I walked past the office and made me pick up the phone to schedule and appt). read more

DISCLAIMER: I did NOT get a Starbucks gift card in exchange for my review so this is actually a non-biased review. I bet you're like WOW! All these five star reviews! This place must be great! There's a sign by the front that says they'll give you a Starbucks gift card in exchange for a Yelp review on the spot. Who is going to write a bad review for them to read on the spot? No one. I've gone here for multiple cleanings. The last cleaning I had, Dr. Kim spent less than five minutes cleaning my teeth. I've never had a cleaning done so fast before. He had another patient waiting, which is likely the reason he was rushing. Regardless of the reason, I don't think he did a good job. I will admit his bedside manner is pretty good. He does a very good job explaining what's about to happen. I read these reviews and I'm astonished by the number of people who say Kari is friendly. I find her quite rude and short. I've had roughly five interactions with her and each time I've found her rude. When I asked her for a copy of my records, she proceeded to question why I needed them. Does it matter? They're my medical records. I guess it'd be uncomfortable to call someone rude right in front of them on a review and then ask for your Starbucks gift card. Take the reviews with a grain of salt. read more

This is my first dental experience since moving to Texas and I am pleased so say it went very well at the Forest Dental Cafe. The staff was very pleasant with this nervous patient. (I am very picky about my dentist.) Dr. Kim did the cleaning himself and I have to say my teeth never felt cleaner. it was a great first experience and now I have a new dentist near my home. BTW I'm bringing my son in today for his checkup and I expect it will go smoothly. PV read more

It was my second visit and absolutely love this place. My crown was bothering me for few months and being new to this area, it took me a while to find a good dentist. Both of my visits (I went after work which I love) the clinic was clean, friendly and doctor/staff were professional. I was super nervous to go to the dentist because with my previous dentist, during/after the treatment was so painful but Dr. Kim was very gentle, he made me feel at ease and explained everything to me- I am amazed how well it went. I felt very comfortable at the clinic and so far I'm happy with the service. read more

Great experience at Forest Dental Cafe. From Kari at the front office to Dr. Kim, I couldn't be any happier with the quality of dental care that was provided. Kari is very welcoming and treats you with utmost respect. She is very patient and knowledgeable with insurance claims. She takes the time to explain everything to you and ensures your questions and concerns were answered to your satisfaction. Dr. Kim is calm and collected and ensures that your dental experience was nothing less than superb. He goes over the procedures before he begins and after he finishes. He answers any questions you may have before and after as well. He really demonstrates that he cares about his patients which is very comforting. I highly recommend Forest Dental Cafe. I'm glad my family has finally found a Dental office after relocating from out of state. read more

Dr. Kim and their staff are AMAZING! I am new to the area and needed a dentist. Of course I went to my handy dandy yelp to find the best place. Forest Dental Cafe had some really good reviews, I decided to check it out. Like a lot of people, I get super anxious going to the dentist. Dr. Kim made me feel very comfortable. He is very thorough and makes sure you understand everything that needs to be done. Kari at the front desk is very personable. She makes scheduling an appointment super easy. I almost forgot, the office is adorable. It's a very modern setup and resembles a cafe. It also smells like coffee which goes with theme. Thanks again yelp for helping with another good find! read more

Dr. Kim and his staff is kind and courteous. Dr. Kim is very informed and seeks to provide sound dental advice to his patients. From Kari to Dr. Kim, the entire staff is AMAZING! Let me just say, and I know everyone says it, I hate going to the dentist. I had a wisdom tooth that needed to come out today, and unfortunately the tooth was shaped strangely and was a little difficult to get out, but Dr. Kim was as great as you could possibly hope for. He was fast, he made sure that I wasn't in any pain, and that I was as comfortable as possible. I couldn't be happier with the treatment and care that I received today, they are all fantastic. I will definitely be going back to take care of my remaining wisdom teeth and everything else that I need to have done. I finally found a dentist that I'll look forward to going to! read more

Oh my goodness!! I can smile without keeping my mouth closed! I had trauma to my front teeth that left them discolored. That coupled with the fact that I'm a grinder, left me with a not so nice smile. Dr Kim and his staff made me feel comfortable and well taken care of from the start. It's a scary thought to trust someone with your smile, but Dr Kim and his staff are experts! Trust them! Thank you Dr Kim, and please thank your staff for giving me back my smile and my confidence! As soon as this Novocain wears off, I'll be smiling from ear to ear! read more

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Kim and his staff. They are always accommodating when scheduling my appointments, and very welcoming when I walk through the door. Going to the dentist has always been one of my least favorite things, however, Dr. Kim does a great job making sure I am comfortable before, during, and after all of my appointments. I was so scared having to get two crowns, but Dr. Kim made sure I was extra numb and made the entire process extremely comfortable for me. He was also very patient and meticulous in reshaping my crown to make sure my bite was just right. The lady (I can't remember her name) who does my cleanings is also wonderful. She's extremely nice and very thorough. Forest Dental also offers payment programs for uninsured patients, which is something I really appreciate. Overall I would highly recommend Dr. Kim and his staff! read more

I highly recommend Forest Dental Café. Dr. Kim is an excellent dentist who is calm, patient and very skilled. He is not only skilled in the art and science of dentistry but has a talent to make anxious patients like me feel at ease. His Dental Assistant LeAndra was excellent and did a superb job in taking all the X-Rays and assisting with the cleaning. As soon as I set foot in the clinic I felt a very welcoming and calm environment. Kari, the Office Manager, was very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. She provided me with some options and explained all the financial aspects of the procedures. She was very helpful in processing all of my new patient information and even checked up on me a few days later to see how I was feeling. Kari also helped me navigate through the Care Credit process and followed up with the company on my behalf. The best part about Dr. Kim and his team is that you do not feeling like a patient, but rather like a part of their family. You are treated with quality care and Dr. Kim and team go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. For example, I had a chipped tooth in the back and it just felt rough every time my tongue touched it. Dr. Kim polished the chip and now the area is smooth. Things like this, although very simple, make all the difference to patients. Dr. Kim also does not promote any services that you do not need. He only tells you what you need to do to get your teeth healthy and strong. This truly is unlike any dentist office I have been to. Besides the fresh smell of Nespresso coffee and IPads for patients to use, the best part of Forest Dental Café are people like Dr. Kim, Kari and LeAndra. I am looking forward to my next visit when I will be getting my bridge done. Thank you very much Dr. Kim and Team! Yall are awesome!!!! read more

Dr. Kim is so wonderful and I really appreciate the friendly staff. I was not looking forward to going back to the dentist after not going for several years, but everyone put me at ease and took great care. Dr. Kim and his entire staff are extremely friendly, caring and professional. After moving and having to leave our dentist of 20+ years, my mother and I were glad to find Forest Dental Cafe! It's not easy to find a great dentist, I've been to many and Dr. Kim is the first that made me not dread the experience! The technology in the office is very modern and they have the most up to date exam equipment. I've always had pleasant cleanings and even pain free fillings! My mother had to have a root canal done and she was very satisfied with the experience, the office called to check up on her and Dr. Kim prescribed the appropriate medication to manage her discomfort after the procedure.
