Dr. Dickson has been my dentist for over 20 years. I can't imagine going anywhere else. He is highly trained and a leader in his field. He is a perfectionist and does outstanding work. He cares about his patients and takes his time with each person so you are getting the best treatment and outcome. He explains the procedure you're having and answers every question that you might have. On top of his great dental skill, he's a really nice guy that talks to you and puts you at ease. Dr. Dickson starts out as a caring individual , the handshake and all, that where it ends, you are lying in the dental chair and he asks me are you ready to pay $3200 to $7500 up front. I came in for pain in one tooth and it surprised me he was talking money right away. Ok, i get an extraction and a crown for $3250 plus $210 xrays, $160 laughing gas, wait that not all. I come back in a week with pain in the same are where the tooth was and crown and he wants $169.00 for new xrays. I told him i already paid for xrays and he says not for the upper teeth. I had a previous dentist send him a full set of xrays and his assistant tells me they are not readable. He never mentions this to me . Dr. Dickson then tells me i have a jaw problem and recommeds a mouth piece and possibly Botox and can see where this is going. I decline the offer and thankfully he did not hit me with a officer visit. Incidently i ask him for some pain medicine and it goes in one ear and out the other. read more

Be careful dealing with this outfit. I went there for a cleaning & they're in my dental insurance network. I'm allowed 2 cleanings yearly @ no cost. For some reason Lynn in their office decided I should be charged like I was out of network or had no dental insurance? I had such an awful experience, during my 2 visits, especially as a new patient, that even though I've pre-paid for a cleaning I'm not ever going to go back to get it. 1.) I was quoted a price on the phone of $250 but I was charged $490. 2.) we made a treatment plan. I was told next visit would be around $1100. when I showed up for it they wanted $8500. I didn't have that so I asked to reschedule - I was told they were all booked up but they would call me -never happened 3: However, what they did do was charge me a 2 hour $200 cancellation fee for an Appointment I was actually early to. 4.) I emailed and left voice mails because I assumed certainly there must be some type of mistake but they never even replied back to me. 5: one lady was very kind but the rest were dismissive and short. From Rachel to Susie to Cindy to Yolanda to Dr. Dickson himself, everyone if fantastic, extremely helpful and very patient with a nervous dental patient such as myself. I have been going here for a few years for cleanings and recently had some necessary dental surgery done. They played my favorite playlist, put HGTV on the screen and made me extremely comfortable with a cosy neck pillow. I am extremely reluctant to find new doctors because you never know what you're going to get - especially dentists! My regular dentist was too far for me to drive so I had been searching for about a month for a dentist. Some places felt like all they wanted was to up-charge, some felt like they were just there for a paycheck - Not My Dentist in Plano. This place was recommended to me by a friend and after doing research online I decided to give them a try. I am extremely happy that I did. The staff is extremely welcoming, professional and courteous! Dr. Dickson is nice and informative, the hygienist, Terry, was extremely friendly and was very gentle while cleaning my teeth. I've been to dentists where they are too rough and my gums hurt like hell after. The front office staff is very pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend giving this office a shot. Scam...1st, I was promised whitening trays with gel, but was told I had to have my fillings done first before I could receive the gel. I received the trays but never the gel. 2nd, I agreed to have my wisdom teeth removed and was told that Dr. D did not do this procedure, so they out source it to Dr. Roberts and stated he was in network for my insurance. After paying up front over $1500 and having the surgery done I was notified by Dr. D's office almost a year later, they were unable to get my insurance to fully pay the claim. I requested more information from the office after receiving a 2nd bill. I was told they would try to resolve the claim because insurance should be covering the full cost. I called to check in with the office once a week for a month for status updates. I received the run around and was told I would get a call back after leaving messages. Finally, I called my insurance and found out the performing Doctor was out of network, so I owed Dr. D and my insurance more money. I have chosen a more honest dentist office to continue business with. read more

I am never changing dentists as long as I live in Texas. I've lived in Southlake and now Dallas, and it's still worth driving to this practice. Cristina is very pleasant and fun, and everyone takes special care to make sure you're comfortable (including providing a tv with all the channels over you while they work), and they remember and keep track of what's going on with you. Beyond that, Dr. Dickson is incredibly on top of things. He asks the right questions, makes solid recommendations, and is super nice. He and Cristina are a good team, and are very knowledgeable. Also, his work speaks for itself. The waiting room check-in computer has before and after pictures that are seriously unbelievable. Go see them. Just do it. read more

I had my first (and hopefully only) root canal and temporary crown fitting here this morning. I had the nitrous oxide throughout the procedure and it helped me to relax. About an hour into it, I felt so queasy, but Dr. Dickson and his assistant Christina were great! Boo for getting sick to my stomach due to antibiotics. . When someone doesn't even flinch and calmly reassures you during one of your embarrassing moments, that is when you know that you have an amazing dentist! He has a keen sense of humor and truly cares about his patients. He will even call you the following day to check on you after a procedure. He has a very pleasant and professional demeanor. I eagerly anticipate my appointments here (not many people can say that about their experience at the dentist's office). Dr. Dickson and his staff do everything they can to accommodate your dental needs. My mom has had fillings and root canals done here as well, and she joins me in submitting this review. Terri was great and walked me through the procedures and made me feel very comfortable. Lynn and Michelle and the front desk were very helpful and great as well!
