My wife Bonnie went there two days ago to have a crown replaced that had cracked and fallen off. Our last dentist told us that our Humana insurance only covered teeth cleaning. Haight used it for my wife's crown. She has a hard time with shots of nova cane. He and his assistant were were gentle and professional. We now have a great new Dentist. I needed a filling on short notice and after careful research I chose this dental office. Having experienced both good and bad dental service I am pretty critical of my care. I was treated by Dr Bennett and Liz who very friendly and attentive. They carefully monitored my comfort level and did a fantastic job, even the lady in the front office was delightful. Haight Family Dentistry manages to maintain a friendly, family dentist environment while being convenient and flexible (even open most Saturdays!). Each of the staff members, from the front office to the back, are professional and friendly. Dr. Haight and my hygienist even spend time catching up on my personal life and having a few laughs before getting down to business. I'm a guy who has had his fair share of cavities and I have never felt any pain or pressure to go beyond what I am comfortable paying for. Most importantly, they have accepted my insurance through several job changes where I've had to change providers. I'm new to Plano, and had to find a good dentist. Mission accomplished! My first visit to Dr. Haight was very pleasant, unusual for a dentist. The receptionist Tamara was very willing to find the right time for me to come in, and the office was sparkling clean. I normally have to wait over an hour to see the dentist in Los Angeles, but Dr. Haight saw me within 10 min of arrival. They were very knowledgeable and gave me information that no other dentist bothered to give. Now I have complete confidence in Dr. Haight and his staff, and will be coming back for further appointments for many years to come. read more

Went in for a cleaning, paid out of pocket for it...by the time I got home, I realized I could still feel calculus/plaque along my gum line. I have not been to the dentist for myself in about 10 years. I have fibromyalgia and past horrible experiences with dentists - so it took a lot of courage for me to go. Since I had not been in so long, I've gone several times to bring my teeth and gums back to a healthy state. They set me up with the same hygienist, Lindsey, each time I go so I always know what to expect. I do have a filling and sealants that need to be done. They gave me a sheet so I know how much it will cost and I can schedule as it meets my time and budget needs. I've never once felt pressured into anything and everyone on staff is always pleasant and friendly. I never go back to a place where I don't feel comfortable - and I stick with places where I feel taken care of. I'm thankful to have found that in a dentist! (Now if I could just find a mechanic where I don't feel pressured into purchasing more than necessary!) read more

Wasted 2 hours of my time. Went in for a regular cleaning. They told me it would cost $600.00 and take 2 hours. No thanks. Not very honest with their patients, Erin, the dental assistant and the dentist were not on the same page and disagreed about what they said I needed done. I felt like I was being sold procedures that not needed. Walked out with nothing done, what a wast of time. I posted a reveiw on their website but can not find it. All the reviews are 5 stars. Very friendly staff that makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. I'm severely afraid of going to the dentist and Dr. Haight is always patient and comforting. He has a good sense of humor and helps to relieve my anxiety. Upon my first visit to him, he even contacted my former dentist and they exchanged a few phone calls and discussed what they thought was the appropriate action plan as I have had a great deal of work completed. read more

Their code word is they will "maximize your benefit" which, in a nutshell, means they will possibly drain your benefits for procedures you don't need and then if something serious comes up later in the year your basically out of luck as your benefit has been maximized. This is a trend in dentistry that I've experienced at a few places. There is a way where the office staff can look at your insurance and see your allotted "benefit" for the year and then they will try to sell you any procedure to help you maximize it (for who's benefit, hmm, that's for you to decide). My advice is tell them you don't have insurance, pay cash for your cleaning and you'll hopefully get an honest assessment of what you really need and save your insurance for emergencies. I live out of town and was in Plano this week for work. I lost a temporary crown and was recommended to Dr. Haight. I cannot speak highly enough about the friendliness of the staff and professionalism of Dr. Haight. It is obvious that Dr. Haight has invested in his office, equipment, and staff. Not only would I recommend the practice to anyone in the area, I am literally planning my business trips to Plano so that I can continue my dental treatments in this practice. I had a filling chip, and was able to get an immediate appointment to inspect and replace the filling. Even though there was a misunderstanding and I showed up at the wrong office (Plano rather than Melissa), the staff was helpful, accommodating and apologetic for the error (which was likely mine). They worked me in immediately and the problem was identified and repaired within only a few minutes. read more

The staff at Haight Family Dentistry is outstanding. I had a root canal done and it was an amazing experience from A-Z. The staff are friendly, educational and professional. Dr Haight has great bedside manner and Errinne, the dental hygienist, is super friendly, warm and welcoming and very good at what she does! To all: (Melissa,TX Location) I just wanna Say how disappointed I was with my experience at Haight Family Dentistry. I came in because I received a Teeth Whitening Gift Certificate kit from a salesman coming through my office. While in the middle of my exam, they were very rough and clumsy. I hadn't been to the dentist since 2010 and the dentist stated that I had 4 cavities. I have never had a cavity in my life so you could see my concern when she informed me of that. So I took the liberty of making an appointment at my family Dentist that I have been going to since I was 5 years old. Only to find out that I have no cavities. So not only did Haight Family Dentistry accuse me of having cavities they also wanted to charge me as an uninsured patient that is, almost $900.00 to fix the cavities that don't seem to exist. If you are concerned that they might not be so sure I would definitely get a second opinion. Office ladies were super nice and was very pleased with their hospitality but they will no longer be getting my business. Best Regards. read more

NOT HAPPY!! I went to this dentist office after receiving a special on teeth whitening. When I went in, they told me I would get X-rays and exam for free. Great!! I called a few months later and made an appt for a cleaning and to get the work done they said I needed. On my third visit, they did X-rays again, NOT SURE WHY, and the cleaning took foooorrrreevvver, so I didn't get any of the other work done. Before I went, they told me it wouldn't cost me anything for the cleaning because my insurance was covering it, so I didn't ask any questions about the X-rays. At this time, they gave me another quote. They told me it was going to be half price because they had a new dentist and they were trying to build up his clientele. So, instead of $360 it would only be $180. I went back in a few weeks later to FINALLY get the other work done. The visit was good, the dentist was great, and I was very comfortable during the procedure. When I went to pay, they said I owed $100 was my last visit. I asked why and the lady at front desk said ... "I just show a balance from ur last visit." No reason. Nothing. That's all she said. Pretty upset at this point, I only ended up paying the $180 they quoted me. A few weeks later I received a bill from them stating I owed $300. WHAT?!?!? This place is a joke! Very upset!!! I will NEVER go back!!! read more
