This place never disappoints me! I'm honestly surprised by some of the previous reviews because my experience has always been great. I've been coming to this salon for about three years, if not longer. The salon is always clean, the technicians are friendly, and the customer service has consistently been amazing. One thing I've learned is that they get very busy, so I highly recommend making an appointment instead of walking in. I usually book the same day and it works out perfectly without long wait times. I just left Creative Nails on Forest Avenue after selecting a color and sitting in the pedicure chair to wait for someone to come over. I looked down and noticed the nail polish all over my leather bag, hands, and on the back of my cell phone case. The bottle must have been open from the person who used it last. I asked for help and got handed one cotton ball with acetone on it. When I asked to speak to the person in charge she told me that I shouldn't have opened the bottle. I explained repeatedly that I do not open it and that it was open she continued to say I shouldn't have opened it. My bag is now destroyed and they chose to accuse me of doing something wrong. It's unacceptable customer service. I'm posting this in hopes of the owner trying to make good since the person there would not. read more

I left this salon today with the worst manicure of my life. I asked for a gel manicure on my short nails with a sheer pink color base and pearl chrome. I left with nails that were bumpy, streaky and the chrome still smeared on my cuticles and fingers. I was so upset that I wanted to cry. I kept "trusting the process" but at the end my face told her I was very disappointed. I still paid and tipped because my manners are stronger than my anger. Walked in today for a manicure. Was hoping for the best got absolute the worst. My nap tech had a terrible attitude especially when she was asked to actually do her job - cut cuticle clean up nail and paint nail not skin. When I asked her to fix the nail where the painted all Over my skin she literally had a melt down, at that point u asked to have my nail finished by someone else. She took my jacket and purse and threw it where the hand dryers were and told me I would have to wait. So I waited until no one came and I had to find someone to help me. The manager I guess ended up " fixing " the manicure cleaning 6 out of 10 finger nail and repainting one. Not an apology, nothing. They also don't have any blue light machines to sanitize their equipment so kinda gross. Anyway. $12 later I wish I never went it. The polish has bubbles that's dried rough and I'm just turned off. Two stars bc the pedicure was good and the lady was really sweet and gave me a great massage. no complaints there but my gel manicure? after 3 days my nails are a completely different color with a hint of the actual nail color i chose (perfect match #52) a pink which is now sitting at only my finger tips with an ugly orange tint. not only that but my nail tech was too busy talking to the worker next to her and breezed through the whole thing, i don't even think my nails got the proper cure (led Light) i debated to go back and complain but i just won't return. disappointed and hate the color it currently turning after spending money ill just wait my two weeks out and go elsewhere. I've been here a total of 3 times and this time was the last. Every time I come here they over charge me constantly and today they really over did it. Acrylic tips cost $40, I understand there is and extra cost for length but not $30 so altogether the tips and shape (skinny coffin) are costing $70. Which makes absolutely no sense!! At tomato nails that would've been $50 or less! I said okay because I didn't want to argue but I know the price is ridiculous and I know she's overcharging me. Then to add color she's like that's another $10. So altogether it's $80 plus tip. So I ended paying $100 and for what I got was absolutely trash !! I asked For skinny coffin I got square, It's bulky, round, not shaved down or filed correctly, nail polish all around my cuticles, I literally sat in the chair crying because no one in there knows how to correctly do nails. I'm so fucking upset, I wanted one nice thing for myself and they ruined that for me. Now I have to spend money I don't have to go get it corrected. How is that fair? Polite staff but a little crummy. Usually, I don't judge to harsh, but until this experience I had, I had to judge. I asked for swirls on my nails, but she went freestyle and put bacon on my nails. One of THE most poorly run nail salon EVER I make a appointment to wait and wait on more the 1 occasion

I'm updating my previous review. This place has the rudest people working... I wanted a dip manicure the man doing my nails said he couldn't do it because the shape I wanted would break easily. Fine. I couldn't really understand what he was saying he had a thick accent, so I asked the woman next to me what he said- she called me "Stupid" I'm not stupid for not understanding due to his accent. This resulted in everyone in the salon being rude. One woman called me a "crack head" why? I don't look like one. I was picking out a color then of course I got rushed to choose one, WHY??? It's a salon with lots of colors why are you rushing your customers?? I paid with a debit card, and as I was writing out the amount a large woman stood over me to look at the tip I was going to leave. At that point I had enough, so I called her nosy. That's just tacky no one would like that. When I walked out someone called me "fat and nasty" no you guys are nasty. I was surprised this place was crowded, and now I definitely don't have a go to salon in Staten Island. You guys need to get your shit together. There are 5 different salons on the strip, and this one all has reviews that they are rushed without reason. And the last time I came here I was unexpectedly charged tax, but not today. read more

I'm not able to leave a review of any services since I didn't receive any. A woman came in after me with no appointment and got taken before me and someone called to make an appointment after I checked in and got taken before me. I waited patiently for 45 mins at this point and then got seated for a pedicure where I waited another 15 mins before deciding to leave. As I'm leaving the lady in the front tells me someone is coming I just said no thank you, have a nice day... it comes off to me that they wanted to prioritize women since their manicures and pedicures are more expensive. I hope their actual services are better than their customer service but I won't be the one to find out. read more

My favorite nail salon on Staten Island! Always clean, and every nail tech works hard to make sure you are happy with your nails. They are quite friendly as well. And their pedicures are awesome and feel amazing, plus i love how gentle they are with my feet. My feet are very ticklish and my tech is never bothered at all. The nail techs work very hard and put 100% into their work. I always get amazing service and never rushing to finish up on my nails, but still finishing in a timely manner. I get annoyed if it takes too long for my nails but here I never sit for more than 45 minutes (unless I get a mani-pedi, of course) and still have a thorough job done. Their prices are consistent, and they never overcharge. I have never had an issue about being confused about why I got charged what I did. I always know what I am paying for. All in all I love this salon, it's not that cheap but it's worth it because it's a beautiful salon and they do great work. I am always very happy when I leave here. Although they are sweet either their products are old/cheap or they're cutting corners when applying acrylic tips. I went two weeks ago and got a fresh set of acrylic tips with Gel polish. That same day two of my nails chipped. I returned the same day and the nail technician gladly fixed my chipped nails and apply a third coat of gel polish on all of them. Four days later the same nails plus one more completely peeled off clean. At that point I was annoyed. A week into doing my nails three of the acrylic tips fell off completely. They do goof nails but are not nice at all. No one speaks English unless they have to ask you repeatedly if you want a manicure in addition to your pedicure despite saying NO three times. They also like to kick you off the dryers after 20 minutes. I told them I need 30 for a pedicure to ensure my nails are dry. read more

If you had asked me before my last visit, I would've given this place 5 stars, but my last visit really turned me off to the place. When I lived in staten island, I used to come here all the time-you get s great mani/ pedi for so cheap. This last visit, the prices had gone up (though still well below prices in other cities) and they were kind of rude. We got there 45 minutes before they closed and they got mad at us for wanting mani/ pedis too close to closing time. Not only do both of us come here all the time, but that was plenty of time if not spilling over by just a few minutes. For is visit I would give them 2 stars, so I'll average it out to 3. read more

Absolutely ridiculous! 2 days after I got a pedicure ALL of my toes chipped and 4 days after my gel manicure gel is chipping off of 2 of my nails. I spent over $60 on my hands and feet, then when I was leaving they begged for a tip and made me feel like I HAD to tip them, and gave me serious attitude because I did not tip. They did not do this to anyone else while I was there. I was the only woman of color in the salon the whole time I was there. CHEAP ASS PRODUCTS!!! I will never recommend and I will never return!!! I started going to Forest nails just before Christmas. The nail salon I used to go to never did what Iwanted with my nails, despite asking so many times.. and I always had to wait sometimes an hr to get my nails done.. even with an appt.. With Forest nail I call..make an appt and when I come in I never have to wait and if I do it's only 5 mins or so.. but that's only because I like for Emily to do my nails. For me she is definitely worth a few min wait if she's busy. She does exactly what I ask for to be done with my nails. nails..They have so many ladies working there that no one really has to wait. All of them are very nice and accommodating. They're is always someone cleaning and disinfecting the place. Someone actually goes around and uses what looks like a steam cleaner to clean the air.. I'm yet to have a pedicure.. but from what i saw the pedicure area is kept neat and clean.. So I came here late night the day before New Years and got acrylic nails. My nails are very messed up. The lady asked me how long I wanted them. I said short. She did them long anyways and I can barely type. When I bought it to her attention she basically told me oh well. She left the bottoms of my nails crooked and the tops lumpy. My name is Kayla, I used to really like this place until my last visit. It was a HORROR. I'm not one to come online to complain but I am so upset and never been so unhappy in my LIFE. I have tried literally a hundred different places--- I've been getting my nails done since I'm about 15, now i'm 23. and they are the most RUDE, dishonest, CHEAP and least thorough I've EVER gone to. They did not listen to me at all. First I tell the lady I want extensions on 4 of my nails because they broke, then to finish wrapping the rest (Because they are paper thin) She does not listen to me and does my nails the way she wants, so before she paints them, I tell her Please wrap my nails because I think they are going to break. she tells me NO, you don't need it. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?!?!?!? I MUST BE THAT MUCH OF A PUSHOVER THAT I LET THIS SLIDE. How dare you tell me NO, I am YOUR customer and I came in here and paid 95 dollars, they have the NERVE. So then after I let that go and she was writing my bill, I ask her to please add a 5 finger design on it-- WITHOUT LETTING ME FINISH MY SENTENCE, She threw her hands up at me and told me "IVE GOT, I'VE GOT." So now I pay, and she paints my nails, as she finishes she tries to take me to the back to dry and I said "the 5 finger design?" she says "5 Dollars more" I said to her well I JUST told you to put it and you yes'ed me to death just like you did when I asked you to wrap my nails (Had no cash on me) So being a GOOD REPUTABLE BUSINESS, YOU SHOULD ACCOMODATE YOUR CUSTOMERS ESPECIALLY REGULARS. But no she tells me "SHE CAN HELP ME BY GOING INTO MY POCKET TO SWIPE AGAIN" - I got upset telling them the entire time she has not listened one bit and how unhappy I am. I tell the owner and instead of taking my side (LIKE ALL BUSINESSES SHOULD DO) she took her workers side and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. NOW-- I go to do my pedicure. I guess the woman now has passive aggression towards me because I was unhappy. Instead of making me feel better, She spitefully does a TERRIBLE half assed pedicure, and rushes me through my eyebrows SLAPPING the wax on and ripping. I was SO uncomfortable. and Sure enough, LIKE I SAID WOULD HAPPEN, MY NAILS WERE RUINED LESS THAN 24 HOURS. I mean, not a chip...... I had THREE COMPLETELY BROKEN nails, 2 CRACKED NAILS, and two with polish chipped half way off... THATS 7 OUT OF MY TEN NAILS RUINED WITHIN LESS THAN A DAY. THE ONLY REASON IM EVEN ON HERE WRITING SUCH TERRIBLE THINGS. They made me feel so uncomfortable and so terrible that I refused to even go back and get WHAT IM ENTITLED TO, which is my nails fixed for the AMOUNT OF MONEY I PAID. but I didn't because they are a cult of their own kind who gang up on you when you are wrong and I didnt want to waste my energy or time even going back in there to feel uncomfortable and unhappy again. So i basically wasted my time and money just to go get my nails COMPLETELY redone less than THREE DAYS later. I will definitely never step foot in there again, same goes for my mother because she was with me to witness all of this. I will be sure to let everyone know how unaccomodating they are.
