It has been a few months, and I'm so happy to report this nail salon is still extremely clean, polite, affordable and talented. It's small, there's a separated room for waxing, three or four pedicure chairs, and four nail stations. They sanitizer all their tools in a special machine and are constantly washing tools after use and putting them in. This makes me love this salon even more, because one of my biggest worries with nail parlors are their sanitary conditions. There's three girls who work, they're all extremely sweet and the owners husband is occasionally there to do pedicures. Yes I am one of those women who is a little weirded out by a male giving me a pedicure, but he does an amazing job! I love how they do tips, they're not thick or chunky and I have always gotten compliments with the work they do on my nails. I've had a few people even believe these are my real nails. They're very real looking and thin, but remain strong and I can go more than two weeks without a fill in with no concern of tips falling off. Although everyone's nail chemistry is different, so I wouldn't recommend pushing the time limit on a fill in for everyone. Plus, the 10 minute massage was only 5 minutes. Which wouldn't have mattered if I wasn't paying $50 for the pedicure. I'll be sticking to the normal pedicure from now on. Then I moved on to my nails. I got acrylic nails with gel polish, so I wouldn't have to wait for them to dry. I am obsessed with how they came out. My service started with the nail tech removing gel off my nails and toes. I was given colors to choose from. I was pleased with the selection and it took me some time to figure out what colors to select. While in the pedicure chair, my nails sat in a bowl of acetone to remove excess. The massage chairs were lovely. The nail tech took his time painting my toes and they look very neat. I got gel so I did not need slippers, but it was advertised that slippers are an additional $2. My gel manicure came out alright. I maintain my nails every 2-3 weeks. However, the tech didn't use any tools to clean my cuticles, other than a cuticle pusher. There are some nails that could've used a bit of cuticle cleaning. My only concern is in regards to COVID-19 procedures. I didn't sanitize or wash my hands prior to touching the nail swatches. Also, there were not any separators between the pedicure chairs or between the customer and the nail tech. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but we're in a pandemic. All staff wore masks, some even doubled up. I was asked to wash my hands during my nail service. I also want to note that I was not engaged with as other customers were with their clients. It's all good though, sometimes self care can be quiet. For anyone in the area, I would recommend this nail salon.
