I came here a while back for a manicure. My technician (I don't even know if I should call her one so let's just say the girl who did my manicure) didn't really seem to know what she was doing. I felt nervous throughout the whole thing. Maybe she was new at this, but I don't want to leave my nails to someone who doesn't fully know what they're doing. Her cuticle cutting technique is one I'm fairly familiar with. You know the one where you press down on nails with nippers but don't really cut. At least I didn't have much that needed cutting anyways so I didn't really mind. There were a few clearly sticking out and I had to ask her at the end to cut it, but that didn't really help much. She was also at one point filing my skin instead of my nail, which she didn't realize until a good amount of time. Now that might seem bad as it is already, but nope. Her polishing skills are just as bad if not worse. She literally just slapped on the polish. It was messy, some sides weren't polished at all, and the top coat didn't even cover everything (the base coat didn't cover my whole nail either). There was polish on my skin after she was done and I had to ask her to clean it up, which she did try to, if not for the fact that it didn't do anything to help the situation. Other than that, she was really outgoing and friendly, so I didn't want to be a mean b*tch to someone new, so I just left a really unhappy customer who wanted ever so badly to remove all that polish she wasted her money on. I did tip her $5 before she started to polish as I didn't fully know what I was getting myself into, but whatever. I think $5 is a pretty good tip for a regular manicure with nothing special right? I did come here months before that all happened to get a pedicure and that was a whole lot better. Great foot rub and all. Too bad the place does not offer any other massages. Maybe it was just my luck, but I don't plan on going back anytime soon if ever. Maybe when that one girl is off or something, but otherwise I'm staying far away. read more
