My longtime mechanic had retired, and I wasn't sure where to go next until I discovered D&G Auto Repair on Yelp! In August 2025, I brought my car in for brake service (pads and rotors replacement). From the very beginning, I felt I was in good hands. Paulo, the manager, responded to my Yelp inquiry almost immediately. He was professional, kind, and attentive. He listened carefully to my concerns and explained everything in a clear, respectful way, something I truly appreciate. I felt a strong sense of trust that he genuinely cared about my car and my safety. When I arrived at the shop, Paulo was just as professional and kind in person. He made me feel confident in my choice to use to D&G Auto Repair. After I left my car, he followed up via text with an estimated bill before starting any work, which gave me peace of mind and control over the process. The shop itself is small but clearly run by expert technicians, and the waiting room is clean and comfortable, a nice bonus! I returned yesterday with a question about a noise I'd heard. Tony, one of the technicians, came out and personally walked around my car with me. He pointed out how clean it looked and even asked about repairs I had done elsewhere. He gave me a mini lesson on body repair which was surprisingly enlightening. He then gave me directions to the nearest Auto Parts store and Car Wash. That kind of extra care is rare and so appreciated. As a woman with limited knowledge, I wanted to be sure not to overpay, so I called a few places and East Coast Auto Repair offered to check my car out the next morning, which worked great for me. (I was right about the high quote from the dealership by almost $400.) I asked the person who greeted me at the shop if they had time to complete a thorough check of the car while they had it for my brakes and they did. When completed, their review included the work on the brakes and only the usual maintenance type things with no pressure for any additional, or possible unnecessary work. In fact, they appreciated my need to control my expenses and made suggestions on how I could get the most out of my car. The people working there were polite, knowledgeable and honest. Mike was amazing - he didn't balk at all (at least to us) when he had to find a place that was as close as he could get to where we were brokedn down - Cherry Hill NJ - and that would take us in and handle diagnosing and fixing whatever transmission problem it happened to be. Mike's Transmission in PA worked well with us and with FNA and although we had to stay in NJ for a few days, we were happy to get our van back. The one thing that I have to say about Mike at FNA - he is very kind on the phone with people like me who haven't got a clue. I had a terrible encounter with the business owner Jim. He was extremely rude, curt and not customer friendly at all. After an unpleasant dialog over the phone , he told me that if I didn't get my car off his lot immediately that he would charge me storage fees. I walked to the business and waited around for him to return and collected my keys. He didn't even have the courtesy to apologize nor care. If I could rate my encounter a zero I would have. He insured me that the truck would come in and would be done a week from the day I leave my truck. The price was absolutely reasonable for the hefty work load (5k). I had went to other shops they said they could try and address the issue directly and I could spend less but those people lack confidence in the work they happen to mention that they have only done one other Chevy prior and that it was difficult they lost me at that point. I have spoken to the dealership and they nearly quoted me for double the price with no close date or availability. This shops was the best bang for my buck the reviews brought me and and they absolutely delivered. I have been driving my truck daily since for a little over a week now and not a hiccup or tick or leak in sight they really did there thing. I had been having problems with my car for months. 3 warning lights would come on when I was…read moredriving. They recommended I bring it to Sullivan Tire for an alignment. None of the other shops had suggested an alignment, so I figured at this point what did I have to lose. The inspector explained the findings clearly and I appreciated their advise in advance to point out an issue with my windshield which would potentially fail the test and offer me options on how to proceed.
