I recently purchased a soft top Bronco from Lockhart Motor Company Ford, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. From the beginning, I asked my salesman, Frankie Estrada, to show me how to properly remove the soft top. He talked over me twice and never provided a clear explanation. Eventually, I found out the track on the side of the window was broken--even though I had never taken the top off due to not knowing how. When I brought this issue to their attention, both Frankie and the General Manager, Bridget, immediately blamed me for the damage. They insisted the vehicle wasn't broken when I bought it because it previously belonged to the service manager's wife. Bridget went as far as to say she had driven the car to lunch a few times and didn't hear any wind noise--though that's hardly proof since soft tops are naturally loud. Bridget was rude, dismissive, and seemed more concerned with defending her friend than listening to a paying customer. She even suggested the damage may have occurred at the grocery store or at my job--an assumption that felt insulting and irresponsible. Instead of offering a real solution, she told me that if repairs were too inexpensive, I should check a junk yard or Facebook market place. That's not something a customer should hear from a professional general manager at a Ford dealership. The vehicle also wasn't properly detailed--there was visible dirt and items under the seats. So was the vehicle properly examined? After voicing my concerns, Frankie, who was supposed to follow up post-sale, never responded at all. I feel like I was sold a damaged vehicle and treated with disrespect. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service at this dealership was shocking. I left feeling disappointed, disrespected, and even discriminated against. I would absolutely not recommend Lockhart Motor Company Ford to anyone. read more

I just wanted to drop a note to say how very appreciative and pleased I am to have done business with Lockhart Motor Company (LMC) through the years. Our latest purchase, a 2017 Ford Explorer Limited, is no exception. I never liked buying vehicles from big city car dealers. Sales were handled by glad handers and big talkers out to meet a sales quota with little regard for the customer. I just bought one and got a good trade-in deal. But it's a lot more than price. I trust them. I also know their ethics. Some years ago a local woman bought a car for her aged husband who promptly died. They took it back for her to make her life easier. I know because I bought it. Glen Germer was my salesperson and did an excellent job with helping me buy my truck. He walked me through building the vehicle and explained the pros and cons of all the options. I appreciated his candor in explaining why one option was better than another. Once the truck was ordered, he kept me informed about the progress and potential delivery date. (I was nervous about that because of the UAW strike that was happening.) When the truck made it to the dealership, he explained the many bells and whistles of the vehicle and offered any additional tutorial if I needed help. I have never had such a good time buying a car. I mentioned a while back I really needed a car for my grandson and my son-in-law said he I needed to tell Lockhart Ford I was ready for another car. I gave them all the things I needed and last Wednesday a man by the name of Glen Germer called and said he had THE car. He was so excited telling me about it that I got excited and could hardly believe he found the exact car I had described that I wanted. Glen was extremely helpful and was able to send us video of the Jeep before we even left Houston. The process was simple and easy. It felt like home.
